Hieromartiri Audas jetoi n\u00eb vitet e Theodosius t\u00eb Riut, mbretit t\u00eb romak\u00ebve dhe Isdigerdis, mbretit t\u00eb pers\u00ebve. Ai ishte stolisur me shum\u00eb lloje virtytesh dhe kulloti Kish\u00ebn e Persis\u00eb me zell e dallueshm\u00ebri. Kur pa pers\u00ebt duke i b\u00ebr\u00eb adhurim zjarrit, shpirti i tij u mbush me indinjat\u00eb t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb. Me guxim dhe besim ai e shembi at\u00eb tempull pagan, pa marr\u00eb parasysh pasojat e aktit. Magjistar\u00ebt vrapuan menj\u00ebher\u00eb te mbreti dhe i raportuan ngjarjen me zem\u00ebrim dhe indinjat\u00eb t\u00eb madhe. Isdigerdis urdh\u00ebroi t&#x27;i sillnin peshkopin p\u00ebr t\u00eb dh\u00ebn\u00eb nj\u00eb shpjegim. N\u00eb fillim ai foli me t\u00eb but\u00ebsisht dhe e urdh\u00ebroi t\u00eb rind\u00ebrtonte tempullin e zjarrit t\u00eb shkat\u00ebrruar. Por Audas refuzoi me vendosm\u00ebri, sepse ai nuk donte t\u00eb kontribuonte n\u00eb idhujtari n\u00eb asnj\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb. Mbreti u t\u00ebrbua nga refuzimi dhe urdh\u00ebroi shkat\u00ebrrimin e t\u00eb gjitha kishave t\u00eb krishtera n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb Persin\u00eb. Pastaj filloi nj\u00eb persekutim mizor, ku besimtar\u00ebt e t\u00eb gjitha moshave u \u00e7uan n\u00eb vdekje n\u00eb m\u00ebnyra t\u00eb ndryshme. Hierod\u00ebshmori Avdas ishte i pari q\u00eb u vra me vdekje, pas torturave t\u00eb shumta dhe t\u00eb tmerrshme q\u00eb i duroi me guxim. Iu pren\u00eb kok\u00ebn me thik\u00eb dhe k\u00ebshtu ai e dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin e tij n\u00eb duart e Zotit n\u00eb paqe. Bashk\u00eb me t\u00eb u vran\u00eb edhe n\u00ebnt\u00eb t\u00eb krishter\u00eb t\u00eb tjer\u00eb t\u00eb parakohsh\u00ebm, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt treguan t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn trim\u00ebri n\u00eb rr\u00ebfimin e besimit. Pas tridhjet\u00eb vjet\u00ebsh shp\u00ebrtheu nj\u00eb persekutim i ri dhe shum\u00eb shenjtor\u00eb u flijuan me trim\u00ebri n\u00eb altarin e besimit t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb. Midis tyre ishin Ormisdi me origjin\u00eb fisnike dhe dhjaku Veniamini, i cili duroi torturat m\u00eb t\u00eb r\u00ebnda. Xhelat\u00ebt e tij i ngulnin gjilp\u00ebra t\u00eb mprehta n\u00ebn thonjt\u00eb e duarve dhe k\u00ebmb\u00ebve. M\u00eb pas e ngrit\u00ebn mbi nj\u00eb paluki dhe aty ai ia dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin Zotit me shum\u00eb durim.
