P\u00ebr t&#x27;u shp\u00ebtuar nga shkat\u00ebrrimi i sigurt, ikona e shenjt\u00eb udh\u00ebtoi drejt val\u00ebve dhe mb\u00ebrriti e vetme n\u00eb brigjet e malit Athos. K\u00ebto ngjarje ndodh\u00ebn gjat\u00eb viteve t\u00eb v\u00ebshtira t\u00eb perandorit Teofil, kur t\u00ebrbimi i ikonoklast\u00ebve kishte shp\u00ebrthyer me vrull n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb perandorin\u00eb. Kur ushtar\u00ebt perandorak\u00eb u v\u00ebrsul\u00ebn n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e saj p\u00ebr t\u00eb zbatuar dekretet kund\u00ebr imazheve t\u00eb shenjta, nj\u00ebri prej tyre goditi me shtiz\u00ebn e tij form\u00ebn e Hyjlind\u00ebs. Menj\u00ebher\u00eb gjaku shp\u00ebrtheu nga plaga, sikur t\u00eb ishte nj\u00eb trup i gjall\u00eb. Ajo i zbuloi se ai do t\u00eb ishte i zgjedhuri, i cili do t\u00eb ec\u00eb mbi dallg\u00ebt dhe do t\u00eb marr\u00eb ikon\u00ebn e saj t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb. Shenjtori iu bind me besim t\u00eb thell\u00eb z\u00ebrit t\u00eb Despin\u00ebs dhe zbriti n\u00eb plazh s\u00eb bashku me v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit e tjer\u00eb t\u00eb manastirit. Por t\u00eb nes\u00ebrmen, kur hyn\u00eb n\u00eb tempull p\u00ebr t\u00eb adhuruar, nuk e gjet\u00ebn imazhin n\u00eb vendin e vet.
