Fundi i nj\u00ebr\u00ebs vinte me katran q\u00eb vlonte n\u00eb qaf\u00eb, tjetrit me sharr\u00eb n\u00eb pem\u00eb, n\u00eb nat\u00ebn persiane t\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb kat\u00ebrt. K\u00ebta dy asket\u00eb, Jonas dhe Varachisios, jetuan n\u00eb vitet e mbretit pers Savorius dhe Kostandinit t\u00eb Madh. Ata dhan\u00eb rr\u00ebfimin e mir\u00eb rreth treqind e tridhjet\u00eb pas Krishtit, n\u00eb nj\u00eb epok\u00eb t\u00eb ashp\u00ebr persekutimi. Nd\u00ebrsa p\u00ebrndjekja kund\u00ebr t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve n\u00eb Persi u ndez, u m\u00ebsua se n\u00ebnt\u00eb rr\u00ebfimtar\u00eb ishin n\u00eb pritje t\u00eb vendimit p\u00ebrfundimtar n\u00eb burgun e qytetit t\u00eb Marviavokh. K\u00ebshtu ata u larguan nga qelia e tyre asketike dhe filluan, pa hezitim, t&#x27;i forconin. N\u00eb burg ata takuan Zanit\u00ebn, Llazarin, Maroutha, Narsis, Ilias, Mari, Avivos, Simiathes dhe Sava. Ata u treguan atyre p\u00ebr Krishtin, u kujtuan atyre jet\u00ebn e p\u00ebrjetshme dhe i inkurajuan q\u00eb t\u00eb mos p\u00ebrkuleshin p\u00ebrball\u00eb torturave. Prania e tyre u dha t\u00eb burgosurve forc\u00eb t\u00eb re n\u00eb err\u00ebsir\u00ebn e qelis\u00eb. Por gardian\u00ebt e kuptuan menj\u00ebher\u00eb se \u00e7far\u00eb po ndodhte n\u00eb burg dhe arrestuan t\u00eb dy asket\u00ebt n\u00eb vend. Ata u t\u00ebrhoq\u00ebn zvarr\u00eb para tre princave t\u00eb Persian\u00ebve, Masdrathit, Syros dhe Marmisis, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt mor\u00ebn p\u00ebrgjegj\u00ebsin\u00eb p\u00ebr marrjen n\u00eb pyetje. Princat u b\u00ebn\u00eb presion dy murgjve me fyerje dhe k\u00ebrc\u00ebnime p\u00ebr t\u00eb mohuar Krishtin. Atyre iu k\u00ebrkua t\u00eb adhuronin zjarrin, ujin dhe diellin, sipas fes\u00eb s\u00eb Persian\u00ebve. Por shenjtor\u00ebt u p\u00ebrgjigj\u00ebn me vendosm\u00ebri se adhurojn\u00eb vet\u00ebm Zotin e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb, krijuesin e t\u00eb gjitha k\u00ebtyre elementeve. Pastaj filloi tortura, mizore dhe e pam\u00ebshirshme, e krijuar p\u00ebr t\u00eb thyer durimin e tyre. Fillimisht i lidh\u00ebn dhe i rrah\u00ebn fort p\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb gjat\u00eb, pa u ndalur. M\u00eb pas ata u t\u00ebrhoq\u00ebn zvarr\u00eb mbi shkopinj t\u00eb ashp\u00ebr dhe u lan\u00eb t\u00eb lidhur jasht\u00eb n\u00eb t\u00eb ftohtin e acart\u00eb gjat\u00eb nat\u00ebs. Asnj\u00eb rr\u00ebfim n\u00ebnshtrimi nuk doli nga buz\u00ebt e tyre, asnj\u00eb z\u00eb dor\u00ebheqjeje nga Krishti. Vet\u00eb xhelat\u00ebt u mrekulluan me durimin e tyre teksa dy asket\u00ebt luteshin me qet\u00ebsi mes dhimbjes. Besimi i tyre b\u00ebhej m\u00eb i duksh\u00ebm n\u00ebp\u00ebrmjet \u00e7do prove t\u00eb re q\u00eb u imponohej. Kur pan\u00eb se asgj\u00eb nuk do t&#x27;i p\u00ebrkulte, zot\u00ebrit vazhduan me tortura edhe m\u00eb t\u00eb tmerrshme, p\u00ebr t\u00eb b\u00ebr\u00eb nj\u00eb shembull. Sh\u00ebn Jon\u00ebs i pren\u00eb gishtat e duarve dhe t\u00eb k\u00ebmb\u00ebve nj\u00eb nga nj\u00eb, me dhimbje t\u00eb paimagjinueshme. Pastaj e lidh\u00ebn fort n\u00eb nj\u00eb pem\u00eb dhe filluan ta sharronin p\u00ebrgjysm\u00eb derisa ai dha shpirtin. M\u00eb pas trupin e tij e hodh\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb grop\u00eb t\u00eb thell\u00eb, sikur donin t&#x27;i fshinin edhe kujtimin. Sh\u00ebn Varachisios u t\u00ebrhoq zvarr\u00eb lakuriq mbi gjemba, duke i shqyer n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb t\u00eb pam\u00ebshirshme gjith\u00eb trupin. M\u00eb n\u00eb fund, pasi e hodh\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb grop\u00eb, i hodh\u00ebn n\u00eb fyt katranin e zier dhe k\u00ebshtu i dhan\u00eb fund jet\u00ebs. N\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn m\u00ebnyr\u00eb, n\u00ebnt\u00eb D\u00ebshmor\u00ebt e tjer\u00eb u torturuan dhe p\u00ebrjetuan nj\u00eb vdekje t\u00eb hidhur dhe t\u00eb dhimbshme.
