Disa dit\u00eb m\u00eb von\u00eb nj\u00ebri u sharr p\u00ebrgjysm\u00eb dhe tjetri kishte metal t\u00eb shkrir\u00eb n\u00eb goj\u00eb, vesh\u00eb dhe vrimat e hund\u00ebs. Shenjtor\u00ebt Ionas dhe Varachisios erdh\u00ebn nga Persia dhe jetuan gjat\u00eb mbret\u00ebrimit t\u00eb mbretit Sapor, i cili filloi nj\u00eb persekutim mizor kund\u00ebr t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve. Atdheu i tyre ishte nj\u00eb fshat i quajtur Iasa, ku ata kaluan jet\u00ebn me besim dhe devotshm\u00ebri. Kur m\u00ebsuan se t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt po mbaheshin n\u00eb nj\u00eb burg t\u00eb err\u00ebt n\u00eb qytetin e Baravoch, ata u nis\u00ebn menj\u00ebher\u00eb p\u00ebr udh\u00ebtimin e tyre. Aty gjet\u00ebn shenjtor\u00ebt Zanitha, Llazari, Maroutha, Narsis, Ilias, Marino, Aviv, Siventino dhe Savva, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt po duronin tmerret e burgut. Dy v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit i kan\u00eb q\u00ebndruar pran\u00eb dhe i kan\u00eb forcuar me fjal\u00eb t\u00eb ngrohta e ngush\u00eblluese. Atyre iu tha t\u00eb q\u00ebndronin t\u00eb patundur n\u00eb rr\u00ebfimin e Krishtit dhe t\u00eb mos p\u00ebrkuleshin, edhe n\u00ebse kjo do t\u00eb thoshte t\u00eb sakrifikonin jet\u00ebn e tyre. Prania e tyre u b\u00eb drit\u00eb n\u00eb burg dhe guxim p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjith\u00eb t\u00eb burgosurit. Shum\u00eb shpejt rojet e kuptuan se \u00e7far\u00eb po ndodhte dhe arrestuan dy v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit si rebel\u00eb. Shenjtor\u00ebt u d\u00ebrguan te tre zot\u00ebrit persian\u00eb Masdrath, Siroth dhe Marmise, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt mor\u00ebn vet\u00eb p\u00ebrgjegj\u00ebsin\u00eb p\u00ebr marrjen n\u00eb pyetje. Ata k\u00ebrkuan me k\u00ebmb\u00ebngulje q\u00eb t\u00eb mohojn\u00eb Krishtin dhe t\u00eb adhurojn\u00eb diellin, zjarrin dhe ujin. Martir\u00ebt e shpall\u00ebn me sfid\u00eb besimin e tyre dhe nuk pranuan t&#x27;u n\u00ebnshtroheshin k\u00ebrkesave t\u00eb pagan\u00ebve. K\u00ebshtu ata iu n\u00ebnshtruan torturave t\u00eb tmerrshme, t\u00eb krijuara p\u00ebr t\u00eb thyer mendjen e tyre. Sh\u00ebn Ionas ishte i pari q\u00eb p\u00ebrjetoi t\u00ebrbimin e xhelat\u00ebve, pasi e lidh\u00ebn ashtu si\u00e7 e b\u00ebnin pers\u00ebt. E shtrinin t\u00eb d\u00ebnuarin n\u00eb tok\u00eb dhe ia lidhnin duart e k\u00ebmb\u00ebt fort n\u00eb nj\u00eb cop\u00eb druri. K\u00ebshtu ai mbeti i qet\u00eb si nj\u00eb gur dhe i mori goditjet nga \u00e7do an\u00eb. Xhelat\u00ebt e mbajt\u00ebn Shenjtorin n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb pozicion dhe e rrah\u00ebn p\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb gjat\u00eb me shkopinj t\u00eb trash\u00eb. Pastaj i vun\u00eb nj\u00eb litar rreth trupit dhe e t\u00ebrhoq\u00ebn zvarr\u00eb n\u00eb akullin e nj\u00eb liqeni. Gjat\u00eb gjith\u00eb nat\u00ebs e lan\u00eb t\u00eb lidhur n\u00eb vendin e tortur\u00ebs, q\u00eb t\u00eb ngurt\u00ebsohej i ftohti. Kur zbardhi agimi, martirizimi i Sh\u00ebn Joaniit vazhdoi me brutalitet edhe m\u00eb t\u00eb madh nga xhelat\u00ebt. I pren\u00eb gishtat e duarve dhe k\u00ebmb\u00ebve dhe i pren\u00eb gjuh\u00ebn. M\u00eb pas e k\u00ebputnin kok\u00ebn dhe e hidhnin n\u00eb nj\u00eb kazan t\u00eb mbushur me katran\u00eb t\u00eb vluar. Por martiri doli nga kazani i pad\u00ebmtuar, me fuqin\u00eb e hirit hyjnor q\u00eb e mbuloi. Pastaj torturuesit e fut\u00ebn n\u00eb vese dhe ia shtyp\u00ebn kockat me nj\u00eb presion t\u00eb tmerrsh\u00ebm. N\u00eb fund e pan\u00eb p\u00ebrgjysm\u00eb dhe trupin e hodh\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb grop\u00eb t\u00eb thell\u00eb, ku ia dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin Zotit. M\u00eb pas ishte Sh\u00ebn Varachisios, i cili duroi tortura po aq t\u00eb tmerrshme me durim dhe besim t\u00eb mahnitsh\u00ebm. Zot\u00ebrit urdh\u00ebruan t&#x27;i vendosnin pranga t\u00eb ndezura n\u00ebn sqetull. M\u00eb pas ata derdh\u00ebn plumb t\u00eb shkrir\u00eb mbi qepallat, vrimat e hund\u00ebs, vesh\u00ebt dhe goj\u00ebn e d\u00ebshmitarit. M\u00eb pas i lidh\u00ebn litar rreth k\u00ebmb\u00ebve dhe e var\u00ebn me kok\u00eb posht\u00eb n\u00eb burgun e err\u00ebt. Me gjith\u00eb dhimbjet, zemra e shenjtorit mbeti e lidhur me Krishtin dhe duroi me vendosm\u00ebri \u00e7do sprov\u00eb t\u00eb re. Por xhelat\u00ebt nuk u ndal\u00ebn me kaq, por vazhduan t\u00eb shpiknin m\u00ebnyra t\u00eb reja p\u00ebr t\u00eb torturuar d\u00ebshmorin trim. I hoq\u00ebn rrobat e Agios Varachisios dhe e t\u00ebrhoq\u00ebn zvarr\u00eb t\u00eb lidhur me bim\u00eb me gjemba. Pastaj e q\u00ebndis\u00ebn mishin e tij me shkopinj me maj\u00eb dhe e vendos\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb rrot\u00eb q\u00eb rrotullohej vazhdimisht. Me k\u00ebt\u00eb tortur\u00eb ia thyen gjith\u00eb trupin dhe i shkaktuan dhimbje t\u00eb paimagjinueshme. N\u00eb fund i hodh\u00ebn n\u00eb goj\u00eb katranin e vluar dhe k\u00ebshtu d\u00ebshmori ia dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin e tij t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb Zotit. Faltoret lippane t\u00eb Shenjtors Iona dhe Varachisios q\u00ebndruan p\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb ekspozuara, s\u00eb bashku me trupat e d\u00ebshmor\u00ebve t\u00eb tjer\u00eb q\u00eb ishin p\u00ebrfunduar m\u00eb par\u00eb. Pastaj nj\u00eb i krishter\u00eb i devotsh\u00ebm me emrin Audisot nd\u00ebrmori nj\u00eb detyr\u00eb t\u00eb nderuar dhe t\u00eb rrezikshme. Ai mblodhi me respekt lipsanin dhe i varrosi me nderimin e duhur, pavar\u00ebsisht rrezikut n\u00eb t\u00eb cilin ndodhej. K\u00ebshtu u vulos martirizimi i dy v\u00ebllez\u00ebrve, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt e nderuan Krishtin deri n\u00eb frym\u00ebn e fundit.
