Pas vdekjes s\u00eb dhunshme t\u00eb Leo Armenit, shenjtori u lirua nga burgu s\u00eb bashku me rr\u00ebfimtar\u00ebt e tjer\u00eb t\u00eb Krishtit. Ai u kthye gjysm\u00eb i vdekur n\u00eb Manastirin e Studiout, ku shum\u00eb shpejt ia dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin Zotit. V\u00ebllez\u00ebrit e varros\u00ebn me nderin e duhur, duke e njohur si d\u00ebshmitar t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb t\u00eb besimit. Lajmin e gjumit ia komunikoi me nj\u00eb let\u00ebr i bekuari Hypatius, i cili po vepronte si igumen n\u00eb vendin e m\u00ebsuesit t\u00eb tij t\u00eb m\u00ebrguar. Mesazhi i mb\u00ebrriti Sh\u00ebn Teodorit Studit, teksa po kthehej nga m\u00ebrgimi dhe ndodhej p\u00ebrkoh\u00ebsisht n\u00eb Manastirin e Kriskentit. Ati i madh iu p\u00ebrgjigj me nj\u00eb let\u00ebr q\u00eb zbulon lidhjen e tij t\u00eb thell\u00eb shpirt\u00ebrore me dishepullin e tij. Ai ka shkruar se mesazhin e trisht\u00eb e ka marr\u00eb pa hidh\u00ebrim zemre, por edhe me g\u00ebzim t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb shpirti. M\u00ebsuesi i kujtoi Hypatios se ai gjithmon\u00eb e konsideronte Jakobin nj\u00eb rr\u00ebfimtar, nj\u00eb martir dhe nj\u00eb njeri t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb t\u00eb Zotit. Ai kishte luftuar trim\u00ebrisht kund\u00ebr d\u00ebshirave trupore, duke e mbajtur trupin t\u00eb past\u00ebr dhe t\u00eb past\u00ebr nga \u00e7do shtys\u00eb pasionante. Ai p\u00ebrdorte ushqimin m\u00eb modest, duke ia n\u00ebnshtruar k\u00ebshtu trupin shpirtit t\u00eb tij racional me ushtrime rigoroze. Sh\u00ebn Theodori thirri Per\u00ebndin\u00eb dhe Joaniin, m\u00ebsuesin e par\u00eb t\u00eb Jakobit, si martir\u00eb. Ai i tregoi p\u00ebr gj\u00ebrat nx\u00ebn\u00ebsore q\u00eb vet\u00eb Teodori i shp\u00ebrfillte shpesh.
