Vdiq n\u00eb m\u00ebrgim, pasi kaloi n\u00ebp\u00ebr burgje, rrahje dhe tortura t\u00eb ideuara nga njer\u00ebzit e perandorit Kostandini i Pest\u00eb i Kopronimit. Iakovos q\u00eb n\u00eb mosh\u00eb t\u00eb vog\u00ebl e donte jet\u00ebn asketike dhe k\u00ebrkonte me etje rrug\u00ebn e p\u00ebrsosm\u00ebris\u00eb. Ai donte t\u00eb q\u00ebndronte p\u00ebrpara Per\u00ebndis\u00eb si nj\u00eb en\u00eb e zgjedhur e Hirit, e past\u00ebr n\u00eb mendje dhe n\u00eb zem\u00ebr. Ai la bot\u00ebn dhe trokiti n\u00eb der\u00ebn e manastirit t\u00eb famsh\u00ebm t\u00eb Studit, ku mori form\u00ebn monastike dhe iu p\u00ebrkushtua me gjith\u00eb zem\u00ebr Krishtit. Aty gjeti nj\u00eb baba shpirt\u00ebror, Sh\u00ebn Theodhorin Studit, kujtimi i t\u00eb cilit festohet n\u00eb nj\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb n\u00ebntor. Pran\u00eb atij m\u00ebsuesi t\u00eb madh m\u00ebsoi ta doj\u00eb me pasion Zotin dhe t\u00eb luftoj\u00eb p\u00ebr besimin ortodoks. Ai i kaloi dit\u00ebt e tij n\u00eb agj\u00ebrim t\u00eb rrept\u00eb, n\u00eb lutje t\u00eb pand\u00ebrprer\u00eb dhe n\u00eb studim t\u00eb vazhduesh\u00ebm t\u00eb Shkrimeve. Para se t\u00eb hapte librin e shenjt\u00eb, ai e pastronte mendjen me lutje, p\u00ebr t\u00eb marr\u00eb fjal\u00ebn e Zotit.
