Sipas k\u00ebsaj d\u00ebshmie, Car Ivan i Tmerrsh\u00ebm mb\u00ebrriti n\u00eb manastirin e Lyubiatov\u00ebs gjat\u00eb Kreshm\u00ebs s\u00eb Madhe n\u00eb vitin 1570 pas Krishtit. Ai ishte ndalur atje gjat\u00eb rrug\u00ebs p\u00ebr t\u00eb nd\u00ebshkuar ashp\u00ebr njer\u00ebzit e Pskovit. Ai besonte se banor\u00ebt e qytetit po p\u00ebrgatiteshin t\u00eb deklaronin n\u00ebnshtrim ndaj princit lituanez dhe ta tradhtonin at\u00eb. Gjat\u00eb sh\u00ebrbes\u00ebs s\u00eb m\u00ebngjesit, v\u00ebshtrimi i tij ra mbi ikon\u00ebn e shenjt\u00eb t\u00eb Virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebs Mari. Atij iu thye zemra dhe u pushtua thell\u00eb nga figura e Hyjlind\u00ebs. Me nj\u00eb z\u00eb q\u00eb dridhej nga emocionet, cari urdh\u00ebroi ushtar\u00ebt e tij t\u00eb ndalonin masakr\u00ebn dhe t\u00eb mbulonin shpatat e tyre. Qyteti i Pskov u kursye k\u00ebshtu nga t\u00ebrbimi i tij i dhunsh\u00ebm dhe ikona u b\u00eb simbol i shp\u00ebtimit p\u00ebr banor\u00ebt e rajonit. Disa vjet m\u00eb von\u00eb, n\u00eb vitin 1581 pas Krishtit, ushtar\u00ebt e mbretit polak Stephen Bathory q\u00eblluan me arm\u00eb n\u00eb ikon\u00ebn e shenjt\u00eb. K\u00ebta ushtar\u00eb po marshonin kund\u00ebr qytetit t\u00eb Pskovit, me q\u00ebllim q\u00eb ta pushtonin at\u00eb dhe t&#x27;ia n\u00ebnshtronin mbretit t\u00eb tyre. Shenjat e atij akti profan mbet\u00ebn t\u00eb dukshme n\u00eb drurin e figur\u00ebs si nj\u00eb d\u00ebshmi e pandershm\u00ebris\u00eb. Shum\u00eb shekuj m\u00eb von\u00eb, n\u00eb vitin 1928 t\u00eb er\u00ebs son\u00eb, komunist\u00ebt e konfiskuan me forc\u00eb ikon\u00ebn e shenjt\u00eb nga manastiri.
