Nj\u00eb \u00e7ifut i vjet\u00ebr i quajtur Juda tregoi vendin dhe nj\u00eb i vdekur u ringjall kur u mb\u00ebshtet n\u00eb t\u00eb. Kjo histori lidhet me vitet e para t\u00eb mbret\u00ebrimit t\u00eb Konstandinit t\u00eb Madh, perandorit t\u00eb par\u00eb romak q\u00eb njohu krishterimin si fe t\u00eb ligjshme. S\u00eb bashku me n\u00ebn\u00ebn e tij, Helen\u00ebn e devotshme, vendos\u00ebn t\u00eb rind\u00ebrtojn\u00eb qytetin e Jeruzalemit dhe t\u00eb pastrojn\u00eb vendet e shenjta nga ndotja e idhujtaris\u00eb. Q\u00ebllimi i tyre ishte t\u00eb ngrinin nj\u00eb tempull ku Zoti vuajti dhe u ringjall, n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb q\u00eb vendet e pasionit dhe varrosjes s\u00eb Tij jet\u00ebdh\u00ebn\u00ebse t\u00eb mund t\u00eb shenjt\u00ebroheshin p\u00ebrs\u00ebri. Perandoresha Helen filloi udh\u00ebtimin e saj p\u00ebr n\u00eb Tok\u00ebn e Shenjt\u00eb me nj\u00eb sasi t\u00eb madhe ari. Sh\u00ebn Kostandini i d\u00ebrgoi nj\u00eb let\u00ebr Patriarkut Makarios, p\u00ebr ta ndihmuar n\u00eb \u00e7do m\u00ebnyr\u00eb n\u00eb pun\u00ebn e restaurimit. Sapo arriti n\u00eb qytetin e shenjt\u00eb, perandoresha m\u00eb e devotshme dha urdh\u00ebr q\u00eb t\u00eb shkat\u00ebrroheshin t\u00eb gjith\u00eb tempujt pagan\u00eb q\u00eb ekzistonin atje. Sh\u00ebn Helena k\u00ebrkonte me k\u00ebmb\u00ebngulje t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt dhe hebrenjt\u00eb t\u00eb gjenin se ku ishte druri jet\u00ebdh\u00ebn\u00ebs i Kryqit. P\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb gjat\u00eb k\u00ebrkimi i saj mbeti pa ndonj\u00eb rezultat thelb\u00ebsor. M\u00eb n\u00eb fund, nj\u00eb \u00e7ifut i vjet\u00ebr i quajtur Juda i zbuloi asaj se Kryqi ishte varrosur n\u00ebn tempullin e Af\u00ebrdit\u00ebs. Perandoresha e shenjt\u00eb urdh\u00ebroi t\u00eb prishej tempulli pagan dhe t\u00eb b\u00ebhej nj\u00eb g\u00ebrmim i madh n\u00eb vend. Shum\u00eb shpejt pun\u00ebtor\u00ebt soll\u00ebn n\u00eb drit\u00eb Golgot\u00ebn dhe varrin e Zotit, s\u00eb bashku me gjetjet e m\u00ebdha. Pran\u00eb vendit u gjet\u00ebn tre kryqe, nj\u00eb tabel\u00eb druri me mbishkrimin e Pilatit dhe kat\u00ebr gozhda. Por ishte e nevojshme t\u00eb dallohej se cili nga tre kryqet ishte ai i Krishtit Shp\u00ebtimtar. N\u00eb at\u00eb moment Patriarku Makarios pa nj\u00eb kortezh funerali q\u00eb po kalonte dhe pati nj\u00eb ide t\u00eb frym\u00ebzuar hyjnore. Ai urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb i ndjeri t\u00eb vendosej me radh\u00eb n\u00eb secilin nga tre kryqet q\u00eb ishin g\u00ebrmuar. Kur trupi i pajet\u00eb u preh n\u00eb Kryqin e Krishtit, t\u00eb vdekurit u ngrit\u00ebn menj\u00ebher\u00eb t\u00eb gjall\u00eb para tyre. Ringjallja e t\u00eb vdekurve informoi t\u00eb gjith\u00eb t\u00eb pranishmit se druri jet\u00ebdh\u00ebn\u00ebs i Zotit ishte gjetur me t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb. Me g\u00ebzim t\u00eb madh Perandoresha Helen dhe Patriarku Makarios ngrit\u00ebn kryqin e shenjt\u00eb p\u00ebrpara turm\u00ebs. M\u00eb pas Sh\u00ebn Eleni hodhi themelet e kish\u00ebs s\u00eb Ngjalljes, nd\u00ebrtimi i s\u00eb cil\u00ebs u urdh\u00ebrua nga Konstandini i Madh, sapo mori vesh p\u00ebr ngjarjet e mrekullueshme. Gjysma e drurit t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb mbeti n\u00eb Jerusalem, ku pjesa m\u00eb e madhe e tij ruhet me nderim edhe sot e k\u00ebsaj dite. Gjysma tjet\u00ebr, bashk\u00eb me gozhdat e ndershme, u \u00e7ua n\u00eb Kostandinopoj\u00eb n\u00ebn kujdesin perandorak. Thonjt\u00eb e grabit\u00ebsve ishin nxir\u00eb dhe ndryshkur, nd\u00ebrsa ato t\u00eb Shp\u00ebtimtarit shk\u00eblqenin mrekullisht. Sh\u00ebn Kostandini vendosi nj\u00eb gozhd\u00eb n\u00eb p\u00ebrkrenaren e tij dhe nj\u00eb tjet\u00ebr n\u00eb frerin e kalit t\u00eb tij. N\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb ai tregoi se po luftonte p\u00ebr fitoren e krishterimit ndaj kund\u00ebrshtar\u00ebve t\u00eb besimit. Gozhda e tret\u00eb u vendos n\u00eb k\u00ebmb\u00ebn e statuj\u00ebs s\u00eb tij, e cila ishte vendosur n\u00eb nj\u00eb kolon\u00eb t\u00eb madhe vjollce pran\u00eb Forumit.
