Ajo vet\u00eb hapi dyert e manastirit p\u00ebr grat\u00eb greke q\u00eb po largoheshin nga haremet e turqve, duke shp\u00ebtuar nderin dhe besnik\u00ebrin\u00eb e tyre me \u00e7mimin e gjakut t\u00eb saj. Ai lindi n\u00eb Athin\u00eb n\u00eb vitin 1522, nga prind\u00ebr t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm dhe t\u00eb pasur Angelos dhe Syriga Benizelou. N\u00ebna e saj ishte shterp\u00eb dhe e priti f\u00ebmij\u00ebn pas lutjeve t\u00eb zjarrta para imazhit t\u00eb Hyjlind\u00ebs. I kan\u00eb v\u00ebn\u00eb emrin Rigula dhe e kan\u00eb edukuar me besim t\u00eb thell\u00eb dhe me \u00e7do edukim t\u00eb mundsh\u00ebm t\u00eb koh\u00ebs. Pran\u00eb manastirit ai nd\u00ebrtoi nj\u00eb spital, bujtina p\u00ebr t\u00eb varf\u00ebrit dhe t\u00eb moshuarit, punishte dhe shkolla, ku djemt\u00eb dhe vajzat merrnin arsim t\u00eb krishter\u00eb. Ai e pajisi manastirin me prona dhe aksione, n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb q\u00eb t\u00eb mund t\u00eb ofronte ndihm\u00eb n\u00eb shkall\u00eb t\u00eb gjer\u00eb p\u00ebr njer\u00ebzit e sprovuar. S\u00eb shpejti manastiri i Agios Andrea u b\u00eb nj\u00eb port i v\u00ebrtet\u00eb p\u00ebr vuajtjet e Athin\u00ebs s\u00eb rob\u00ebruar. Sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtoret e saj dhe shum\u00eb vajza nga \u00e7do klas\u00eb e shoq\u00ebris\u00eb u larguan nga bota dhe ndoq\u00ebn Filote\u00ebn n\u00eb rrug\u00ebn e ngusht\u00eb t\u00eb Bazelit. T\u00eb gjitha motrat kishin t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn prirje, p\u00ebr t\u00eb imituar n\u00ebn\u00ebn e tyre shpirt\u00ebrore n\u00eb virtyt dhe p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi. Kur pushtuesit mor\u00ebn vesh se ku ishin fshehur grat\u00eb greke, sulmuan manastirin dhe e rrah\u00ebn r\u00ebnd\u00eb Sh\u00ebnn\u00ebn, edhe pse ajo tashm\u00eb ishte e s\u00ebmur\u00eb. Ajo u soll para gjykat\u00ebsit, i cili e mbylli n\u00eb nj\u00eb burg t\u00eb err\u00ebt dhe k\u00ebrkoi q\u00eb ajo t\u00eb mohonte Krishtin. Ajo u p\u00ebrgjigj me g\u00ebzim se d\u00ebshira e saj m\u00eb e madhe ishte t\u00eb d\u00ebshmonte p\u00ebr dashurin\u00eb e Zotit t\u00eb saj. Por nuk ishte ende vullneti i Zotit dhe me nd\u00ebrmjet\u00ebsimin e t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve me reputacion ai u lirua nga burgu. Duke marr\u00eb forc\u00eb nga sprova, ajo vazhdoi me zell t\u00eb dyfisht\u00eb dhe vet\u00ebmohim vepr\u00ebn apostolike dhe p\u00ebrpjekjet asketike. Ai arriti p\u00ebrsosm\u00ebrin\u00eb dhe iu k\u00ebrkua nga Zoti dhuntia e mrekullive dhe e kurave p\u00ebr t\u00eb s\u00ebmur\u00ebt. Shk\u00eblqimi i saj i shk\u00eblqyer n\u00eb popull zgjoi urrejtjen e pushtuesve turq. Nj\u00eb nat\u00eb, nd\u00ebrsa kujtimi i d\u00ebshmorit Dionis t\u00eb Areopagitit po kremtohej me vigjilje n\u00eb manastirin e Patisias, pes\u00eb turq u ngjit\u00ebn n\u00eb mur dhe hyn\u00eb n\u00eb oborr. Ata hyn\u00eb n\u00eb tempull, e kap\u00ebn Sh\u00ebnn\u00ebn dhe e fshikulluan me aq brutalitet sa e lan\u00eb gjysm\u00eb t\u00eb vdekur n\u00eb tok\u00eb. Jasht\u00eb tempullit, kolona ku Filothei ishte lidhur dhe fshikulluar nga torturuesit e saj ruhet ende.
