Pak m\u00eb par\u00eb, turqit e kishin arrestuar sepse po m\u00ebsonte grek\u00ebt t\u00eb ruanin besimin dhe respektin t\u00eb diel\u00ebn. Osh\u00ebnar Damianos lindi n\u00eb fshatin Myrichovo t\u00eb Agrafonit, Sh\u00ebn Triada e sotme, rreth nj\u00ebmij\u00eb e pes\u00ebqind e dhjet\u00eb pas Krishtit. Prind\u00ebrit e tij ishin njer\u00ebz t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm dhe rr\u00ebnjos\u00ebn tek ai dashurin\u00eb p\u00ebr Krishtin dhe Kish\u00ebn q\u00eb n\u00eb mosh\u00eb t\u00eb vog\u00ebl. Q\u00eb n\u00eb f\u00ebmij\u00ebri ai d\u00ebshironte jet\u00ebn e vetmuar dhe \u00ebnd\u00ebrronte t\u00eb vishte figur\u00ebn engj\u00ebllore t\u00eb murgut. K\u00ebshtu ai la vendlindjen dhe shkoi n\u00eb malin Athos, ku lul\u00ebzoi tradita orthodhokse. Mb\u00ebrriti n\u00eb manastirin e shenjt\u00eb t\u00eb Filotheut dhe u b\u00eb murg, duke veshur me g\u00ebzim kasot\u00ebn e p\u00ebrulur. Jeta e t\u00eb thjeshtit e mbushte me paqe shpirt\u00ebrore, por d\u00ebshira p\u00ebr m\u00eb shum\u00eb paqe ndizte gjithmon\u00eb brenda tij. Ai k\u00ebrkonte nj\u00eb luft\u00eb m\u00eb rigoroze, larg zhurmave dhe af\u00ebr heshtjes s\u00eb lutjes. K\u00ebshtu ai vendosi t\u00eb largohej nga manastiri dhe t\u00eb k\u00ebrkonte nj\u00eb asket, p\u00ebr t&#x27;iu p\u00ebrkushtuar t\u00ebr\u00ebsisht lutjes dhe studimit t\u00eb fjal\u00ebs hyjnore. K\u00ebshtu ai shkoi te nj\u00eb asket me p\u00ebrvoj\u00eb, i quajtur Dometius, dhe u b\u00eb subjekt i tij me shum\u00eb p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi. Ajo q\u00ebndroi me t\u00eb p\u00ebr gati tre vjet dhe p\u00ebrparoi me shpejt\u00ebsi n\u00eb t\u00eb gjitha virtytet dhe dhuntit\u00eb shpirt\u00ebrore. Plaku i m\u00ebsoi bindjen, lutjen e pand\u00ebrprer\u00eb dhe agj\u00ebrimin e rrept\u00eb, q\u00eb zbut pasionet e mishit. Nj\u00eb dit\u00eb, teksa lutej me zjarr, pati privilegjin t\u00eb d\u00ebgjonte z\u00ebrin e Zotit, i cili iu drejtua me dashuri. Ai i tha se nuk duhet t\u00eb k\u00ebrkonte vet\u00ebm interesin e tij shpirt\u00ebror, por edhe shp\u00ebtimin e v\u00ebllez\u00ebrve t\u00eb tij. Me k\u00ebt\u00eb urdh\u00ebr hyjnor n\u00eb zem\u00ebr, Damiani kuptoi se rruga e tij po ndryshonte p\u00ebrs\u00ebri. Ai la plakun e tij t\u00eb dashur dhe zbriti n\u00eb rajonin e Olimpit, p\u00ebr t&#x27;u predikuar njer\u00ebzve fjal\u00ebn e Zotit. Ai u b\u00ebri thirrje t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve q\u00eb t\u00eb pendohen sinqerisht, t\u00eb l\u00ebn\u00eb padrejt\u00ebsit\u00eb dhe t\u00eb jetojn\u00eb sipas vullnetit t\u00eb Zotit. Por fjal\u00ebt e tij shqet\u00ebsonin disa, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt e shpifnin si g\u00ebnjeshtar dhe g\u00ebnjeshtar para bot\u00ebs. Osh\u00ebnar nuk u pengua nga akuzat dhe vazhdoi rrug\u00ebn me durim dhe lutje. K\u00ebshtu ai u largua nga Olimpi dhe shkoi n\u00eb rajonin e Laris\u00ebs dhe Kissavos, duke predikuar kudo fjal\u00ebn e Krishtit. Q\u00eb andej hapat e \u00e7uan p\u00ebrs\u00ebri n\u00eb Agraf\u00ebn e tij t\u00eb dashur, vendin ku e shihte si f\u00ebmij\u00eb. N\u00eb Karytsa Dopolon themeloi manastirin e Hyjlind\u00ebs Pelekitit, i cili u b\u00eb baza e tij misionare. N\u00eb fakt ai rinovoi me shum\u00eb mundim nj\u00eb manastir q\u00eb kishte p\u00ebsuar d\u00ebme t\u00eb m\u00ebdha nga rrethanat e viteve. K\u00ebshtu ai kaloi n\u00eb nd\u00ebrgjegjen e popullit besimtar si themeluesi dhe babai i ri i k\u00ebtij themeli t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb. Por edhe atje njer\u00ebz t\u00eb pandersh\u00ebm e akuzuan s\u00ebrish si g\u00ebnjeshtar dhe pseudomurg, duke i l\u00ebnduar zemr\u00ebn. Osh\u00ebnar duroi n\u00eb heshtje dhe u nis p\u00ebr n\u00eb Kissavos, ngjitur me fshatin Anatoli, duke k\u00ebrkuar nj\u00eb vend t\u00eb ri luftimi. Atje ai nd\u00ebrtoi nj\u00eb manastir t\u00eb ri p\u00ebr nder t\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Joan Pararend\u00ebsit, me shum\u00eb lutje dhe p\u00ebrpjekje. Turma besimtar\u00ebsh u dynd\u00ebn drejt tij p\u00ebr t\u00eb d\u00ebgjuar predikimin e tij t\u00eb zjarrt\u00eb dhe k\u00ebshillat shpirt\u00ebrore at\u00ebrore. Fjala e tij i forcoi n\u00eb besim grek\u00ebt e rob\u00ebruar dhe u dha atyre forc\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb duruar vuajtjet e skllav\u00ebris\u00eb. N\u00eb nj\u00eb moment Osh\u00ebnar Damianos zbriti n\u00eb fshatin fqinj Vulgarini p\u00ebr pun\u00ebt e manastirit, pa e ditur se \u00e7far\u00eb e priste. Aty u arrestua nga komandanti turk i Laris\u00ebs, i cili kishte d\u00ebgjuar p\u00ebr veprimin dhe predikimin e tij. Ata e akuzuan at\u00eb p\u00ebr pengimin e blerjes dhe shitjes s\u00eb mallrave t\u00eb dielave dhe se u k\u00ebrkonte grek\u00ebve t\u00eb q\u00ebndronin t\u00eb pal\u00ebkundur n\u00eb besimin e vjet\u00ebr. E \u00e7uan n\u00eb burg dhe filluan ta torturojn\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00eb, me q\u00ebllim q\u00eb t&#x27;i p\u00ebrkulnin shpirtin. I kan\u00eb lidhur k\u00ebmb\u00ebt dhe qaf\u00ebn me zinxhir\u00eb t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00eb dhe i kan\u00eb k\u00ebrc\u00ebnuar tmerr\u00ebsisht jet\u00ebn. Por ata u munduan m\u00eb kot, sepse Sh\u00ebn rr\u00ebfeu besimin e tij n\u00eb Krishtin me guxim dhe g\u00ebzim. Pastaj komandanti turk urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb ta vrisnin menj\u00ebher\u00eb dhe pastaj ta hidhnin trupin n\u00eb zjarr. Ushtar\u00ebt e mor\u00ebn dhe e godit\u00ebn fort me hanxhar n\u00eb kok\u00eb, duke e l\u00ebn\u00eb gjysm\u00eb t\u00eb vdekur n\u00eb tok\u00eb. Pastaj e hodh\u00ebn trupin e shenjt\u00eb n\u00eb furr\u00ebn e zjarrit dhe at\u00eb q\u00eb kishte mbetur e hodh\u00ebn n\u00eb lumin Pinios.
