Igumeni i ri gjeorgjian kishte refuzuar titullin e emirit dhe pasurit\u00eb q\u00eb i ofronte zoti mizor persian. D\u00ebshmori i shenjt\u00eb Luka jetoi n\u00eb shekullin e tremb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb dhe vinte nga familja e ndershme dhe e devotshme gjeorgjiane e Muhaisdze. Kur babait t\u00eb tij e zuri gjumi, n\u00ebna e tij la f\u00ebmij\u00ebt e saj dhe shkoi t\u00eb praktikonte n\u00eb nj\u00eb manastir n\u00eb Jerusalem. Kur Luka mbushi nj\u00ebzet vje\u00e7, ai udh\u00ebtoi p\u00ebr n\u00eb Tok\u00ebn e Shenjt\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb takuar n\u00ebn\u00ebn e tij dhe p\u00ebr t\u00eb adhuruar. Ai q\u00ebndroi atje p\u00ebr disa koh\u00eb dhe vendosi t\u00eb q\u00ebndroj\u00eb p\u00ebrgjithmon\u00eb, duke marr\u00eb form\u00ebn e vetmuar. M\u00eb von\u00eb u shugurua dhjak dhe m\u00ebsoi n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb t\u00eb p\u00ebrsosur gjuh\u00ebn arabe. V\u00ebllez\u00ebrit e manastirit e njoh\u00ebn shpejt urt\u00ebsin\u00eb e tij dhe i k\u00ebrkuan q\u00eb t\u00eb merrte frenat e tij si igumen. P\u00ebr tre vjet, Lluka e drejtoi manastirin n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb shembullore, duke i udh\u00ebhequr baballar\u00ebt me men\u00e7uri dhe dashuri. Fama e tij shkoi shpejt p\u00ebrtej mureve t\u00eb manastirit dhe arriti n\u00eb portat e zot\u00ebrve. Por djalli e kishte zili atin e shenjt\u00eb dhe nxiti nj\u00eb persian t\u00eb shquar t\u00eb quajtur Sheikh-Khidar, i cili kishte ndikim t\u00eb madh n\u00eb oborrin e Sulltan Pedukht. Ai sulltan ndoshta identifikohet me Zahir-Rukendin-Bayvar-Budukdar t\u00eb Egjiptit, i cili mbret\u00ebroi n\u00eb shekullin e tremb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb. Pedukht i dha Manastirin e Kryqit t\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb Sheikh-Khidarit dhe ai i trajtoi murgjit gjeorgjian me mizori \u00e7njer\u00ebzore. M\u00eb n\u00eb fund ai i d\u00ebboi t\u00eb gjith\u00eb nga manastiri dhe i burgosi \u200b\u200bdisa baballar\u00eb n\u00eb qeli t\u00eb err\u00ebta. Luka i bekuar e konsideroi detyr\u00ebn e tij ndaj Zotit q\u00eb t\u00eb p\u00ebrballej vet\u00eb me sundimtarin mizor p\u00ebr hir t\u00eb v\u00ebllaz\u00ebris\u00eb s\u00eb tij. V\u00ebllez\u00ebrit dhe motrat e tij t\u00eb krishter\u00eb e paralajm\u00ebruan me ankth dhe i than\u00eb t\u00eb ikte dhe t\u00eb fshihej prej tij. Por Luka nuk u kushtoi v\u00ebmendje k\u00ebshillave t\u00eb tyre, sepse ai parap\u00eblqente vdekjen p\u00ebr Krishtin sesa nj\u00eb jet\u00eb t\u00eb n\u00ebnshtruar ndaj bot\u00ebs. Shenjtori i deklaroi sundimtarit pers se ishte gati t\u00eb pranonte \u00e7do k\u00ebrkes\u00eb p\u00ebr hir t\u00eb v\u00ebllaz\u00ebris\u00eb. Ai udh\u00ebheq\u00ebs i lig nuk k\u00ebrkoi gj\u00eb tjet\u00ebr ve\u00e7se q\u00eb Luka t\u00eb konvertohej n\u00eb fen\u00eb islame. Madje i premtoi se do ta ngrinte n\u00eb pozit\u00ebn e emirit, n\u00ebse pranonte t\u00eb mohonte Krishtin. Por kur shenjtori refuzoi me k\u00ebmb\u00ebngulje, Shejh-Khidari i t\u00ebrbuar menj\u00ebher\u00eb urdh\u00ebroi t&#x27;i prisnin kok\u00ebn. Pasi kreu martirizimin e tmerrsh\u00ebm, koka e prer\u00eb e shenjtorit u kthye nga lindja dhe fal\u00ebnderoi Zotin me nj\u00eb shprehje qet\u00ebsie pa shprehje. Pak m\u00eb von\u00eb, Shejh-Khidari i hutuar urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb trupi i drejt\u00eb i d\u00ebshmorit t\u00eb digjej n\u00eb flak\u00eb.
