N\u00ebna e tyre u q\u00ebndronte pran\u00eb n\u00eb kryqe dhe i nxiti t\u00eb pranonin pa hezitim kuror\u00ebn e martirizimit. Ngjarjet ndodh\u00ebn n\u00eb vendin e Azis\u00eb, n\u00eb nj\u00eb koh\u00eb persekutimi t\u00eb ashp\u00ebr kund\u00ebr Kish\u00ebs s\u00eb Krishtit. Mbret\u00ebrit dhe sundimtar\u00ebt pagan\u00eb kishin l\u00ebshuar nj\u00eb val\u00eb dhune kund\u00ebr besimtar\u00ebve dhe k\u00ebrkuan adhurimin e per\u00ebndive t\u00eb tyre t\u00eb rreme. Brenda k\u00ebsaj klime jetonin dy motrat, Marta dhe Maria, s\u00eb bashku me v\u00ebllain e tyre t\u00eb vog\u00ebl, Lycarion. Dy vajzat ia kishin kushtuar virgj\u00ebrin\u00eb Zotit dhe jetonin me q\u00ebllimin e vet\u00ebm p\u00ebr ta k\u00ebnaqur at\u00eb. N\u00eb zemrat e tyre digjej d\u00ebshira p\u00ebr t\u00eb d\u00ebshmuar dashurin\u00eb e Krishtit dhe p\u00ebr t\u00eb dh\u00ebn\u00eb jet\u00ebn e tyre si prova p\u00ebrfundimtare e besimit. Ata nuk e konsideronin vdekjen si fund, por fillimin e nj\u00eb jete t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb dhe t\u00eb p\u00ebrjetshme pran\u00eb Dh\u00ebndrit t\u00eb tyre. Familja e tyre e vog\u00ebl ishte b\u00ebr\u00eb nj\u00eb liman i vog\u00ebl lutjeje dhe dashurie n\u00eb nj\u00eb bot\u00eb q\u00eb urrente t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt. Nj\u00eb dit\u00eb nga sht\u00ebpia e tyre kaloi nj\u00eb gjeneral pagan me shoq\u00ebrin\u00eb e tij. Marta hapi menj\u00ebher\u00eb der\u00ebn, doli me motr\u00ebn e saj dhe b\u00ebrtiti se ata ishin t\u00eb krishter\u00eb. Por gjenerali nuk u kushtoi r\u00ebnd\u00ebsi fjal\u00ebve t\u00eb tyre dhe vazhdoi rrug\u00ebn pa e kthyer kok\u00ebn. Maria, e varur n\u00eb pem\u00eb, uroi nga lart q\u00eb vet\u00eb n\u00ebna e tyre t\u00eb shp\u00ebtonte bashk\u00eb me frutin e barkut t\u00eb saj. Ai e fal\u00ebnderoi publikisht q\u00eb i solli te Krishti dhe i rriti n\u00eb besimin e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb t\u00eb Kish\u00ebs.
