Shum\u00eb vite m\u00eb von\u00eb, ai vet\u00eb u b\u00eb kryepeshkop i Chernigov dhe sh\u00ebroi mrekullisht pasardh\u00ebsin e tij me nj\u00eb shfaqje t\u00eb vetme. Osh\u00ebnar Theodosios vinte nga familja fisnike e Polonitsky Uglitsky, n\u00eb rajonin p\u00ebrtej Dnieper. Mitropoliti i Kievit Dionysios Balaban e shuguroi at\u00eb kryedhjak t\u00eb Katedrales s\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Sofis\u00eb. M\u00eb pas ai u b\u00eb kujdestar i sht\u00ebpis\u00eb s\u00eb metropolit, por shpirti i tij k\u00ebrkoi paqe. Ajo u t\u00ebrhoq n\u00eb Manastirin e larg\u00ebt Krupitsky af\u00ebr Baturin, i cili ishte i famsh\u00ebm p\u00ebr jet\u00ebn e tij t\u00eb rrept\u00eb t\u00eb vetmuar. Aty u shugurua plak dhe u shqua n\u00eb betejat asketike. Pas nj\u00eb hetimi, shpifja u zbulua dhe shenjtori u shfaj\u00ebsua plot\u00ebsisht. Kryepeshkopi Lazarus Baranovich, i cili e donte v\u00ebrtet at\u00eb, e quajti at\u00eb nj\u00eb dele t\u00eb kopes\u00eb s\u00eb Krishtit dhe profetizoi se emri i tij do t\u00eb shkruhej n\u00eb qiej. Kur Lazari u b\u00eb kryepeshkop i metropolit t\u00eb Kievit, ai em\u00ebroi Theodosius si kryepeshkop t\u00eb tij n\u00eb Kiev. Shenjtori mori pjes\u00eb n\u00eb zgjedhjen e peshkopit Lutsk Gideon si metropolit t\u00eb Kievit dhe u d\u00ebrgua n\u00eb Mosk\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb v\u00ebrtetuar zgjedhjet. Ky mision \u00e7oi n\u00eb ribashkimin e Mitropolis\u00eb s\u00eb Kievit me Kish\u00ebn Ruse. N\u00eb Mosk\u00eb ai u prit me nderime dhe siguroi shum\u00eb p\u00ebrfitime p\u00ebr manastirin Vidubitsky. N\u00eb vitin nj\u00eb mij\u00eb e gjasht\u00ebqind e tet\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e tet\u00eb, shenjtori u b\u00eb arkimandriti i manastirit Eletsky n\u00eb Chernigov, n\u00eb vend t\u00eb t\u00eb ndjerit Joani Goliatovsky. Manastiri ishte n\u00eb nj\u00eb gjendje t\u00eb keqe pas largimit t\u00eb jezuit\u00ebve dhe dominikan\u00ebve. Me ndihm\u00ebn e Zotit dhe nderimin e sundimtarit Mazepa ndaj tij, ai siguroi fshatin Mostsonka dhe anuitete t\u00eb tjera jet\u00ebsore n\u00eb manastir. N\u00eb dy-tre vjet, Eletski u sh\u00ebrua financiarisht dhe shpirt\u00ebrisht. Shenjtori gjithashtu mori pjes\u00eb n\u00eb \u00e7\u00ebshtje t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00ebsishme kishtare dhe shoq\u00ebroi Sh\u00ebn Dhimitrin e Rostovit n\u00eb Mosk\u00eb te Patriarku Joakim. P\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb sh\u00ebndetit t\u00eb dob\u00ebt t\u00eb Kryepeshkopit Llazar, u k\u00ebrkua shugurimi i Teodosit si peshkop. M\u00eb nj\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb shtator t\u00eb vitit nj\u00ebmij\u00eb e gjasht\u00ebqind e n\u00ebnt\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e dy, zgjedhja e tij u ratifikua dhe pak dit\u00eb m\u00eb von\u00eb u shugurua Kryepeshkop i \u00c7ernigovit n\u00eb Katedralen e Fjetjes n\u00eb Kremlin. Ai q\u00ebndroi dy muaj n\u00eb Mosk\u00eb, pasi Patriarku Hadriani e nderoi shum\u00eb dhe ishte i lumtur t\u00eb bashk\u00ebpunonte me t\u00eb. Kopeja e \u00c7ernigovit priti me g\u00ebzim t\u00eb madh eprorin e tyre t\u00eb ri, i cili e respektonte Llazarin e vjet\u00ebr si baba. M\u00eb 3 shtator t\u00eb vitit nj\u00ebmij\u00eb e gjasht\u00ebqind e n\u00ebnt\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e tre, kryepeshkopi Lazaros e zuri gjumi i qet\u00eb, pas tridhjet\u00eb e gjasht\u00eb vjet barit. Theodosius e varrosi me nderime n\u00eb katedralen e Shenjtors Voridos dhe Glebe. Ai mbeti i vet\u00ebm n\u00eb krye t\u00eb krahin\u00ebs dhe kujdesej p\u00ebr kopen\u00eb e tij me dashuri at\u00ebrore. Ai u p\u00ebrpoq me kujdes t\u00eb zgjidhte klerik\u00eb t\u00eb denj\u00eb dhe t\u00eb forconte edukimin e tyre shpirt\u00ebror. Ai ftoi murgj t\u00eb ditur nga Kievi n\u00eb Chernigov, midis tyre Sh\u00ebn Joani Maksimovich, mitropoliti i ardhsh\u00ebm i Tobolsk. Ai themeloi manastirin e grave Pe\u010den\u00edk dhe i bekoi murgeshat q\u00eb t\u00eb jetonin n\u00eb p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi dhe bindje. N\u00eb kodr\u00ebn e Boldinit, pran\u00eb manastirit t\u00eb lasht\u00eb t\u00eb profetit Elia, shenjt\u00ebroi nj\u00eb tempull madh\u00ebshtor t\u00eb Hyjlind\u00ebs. Drejt\u00ebsia e rrept\u00eb, dhembshuria e thell\u00eb p\u00ebr dashurin\u00eb e dob\u00ebt dhe t\u00eb krishter\u00eb p\u00ebr paqen e b\u00ebn\u00eb at\u00eb t\u00eb arritsh\u00ebm p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjith\u00eb. Edhe njer\u00ebzit heterodoks\u00eb iu drejtuan atij p\u00ebr k\u00ebshilla dhe ndihm\u00eb, duke njohur fizionomin\u00eb e tij t\u00eb ndritshme shpirt\u00ebrore. Pak para se t\u00eb binte n\u00eb gjum\u00eb, shenjtori ftoi hieromonkun Joani Maksimovich nga manastiri Svenski n\u00eb Bryansk dhe e vendosi at\u00eb si arkimandrit t\u00eb manastirit Eletski, si pasardh\u00ebsin e tij t\u00eb denj\u00eb. M\u00eb 5 shkurt t\u00eb vitit nj\u00ebmij\u00eb e gjasht\u00ebqind e n\u00ebnt\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e gjasht\u00eb hierarku i madh dha frym\u00ebn paq\u00ebsisht. Kopeja e tij e vajtoi me hidh\u00ebrim dhe e varrosi n\u00eb nj\u00eb kript\u00eb t\u00eb ve\u00e7ant\u00eb t\u00eb katedrales s\u00eb Shenjtors Voridos dhe Gleb.
