Q\u00eb nga ajo koh\u00eb ai jetoi treqind e gjasht\u00ebdhjet\u00eb vjet, duke pritur t\u00eb mbante n\u00eb krah\u00eb Mesian, t\u00eb cilin nuk kishte pranuar ta besonte. Tradita e lasht\u00eb e vendos at\u00eb n\u00eb mesin e shtat\u00ebdhjet\u00eb hebrenjve t\u00eb men\u00e7ur q\u00eb u ftuan n\u00eb Aleksandri nga Ptolemeu Filadelfus, p\u00ebr t\u00eb p\u00ebrkthyer Dhiat\u00ebn e Vjet\u00ebr n\u00eb gjuh\u00ebn greke. Por kur arriti te vargu i famsh\u00ebm q\u00eb fliste p\u00ebr nj\u00eb virgj\u00ebresh\u00eb q\u00eb do t\u00eb mbetej shtatz\u00ebn\u00eb dhe do t\u00eb lindte nj\u00eb djal\u00eb me emrin Emanuel, mendjen e tij e shqet\u00ebsonte dyshimi. E kishte t\u00eb pamundur q\u00eb nj\u00eb grua pa burr\u00eb t\u00eb lindte nj\u00eb f\u00ebmij\u00eb dhe ngriti dor\u00ebn p\u00ebr t\u00eb ndryshuar fjal\u00ebn. At\u00ebher\u00eb engj\u00eblli i Zotit iu shfaq para tij dhe i zbuloi se teksti ishte nj\u00eb profeci p\u00ebr mish\u00ebrimin e Birit t\u00eb Per\u00ebndis\u00eb. M\u00eb pas, lajm\u00ebtari qiellor i dha atij nj\u00eb premtim q\u00eb do t\u00eb sh\u00ebnonte gjith\u00eb jet\u00ebn e p\u00ebrkthyesit t\u00eb vjet\u00ebr. Ai nuk do ta njihte vdekjen, i tha ai, para se t\u00eb shihte me syt\u00eb e tij Krishtin q\u00eb do t\u00eb lindte nga nj\u00eb Virgj\u00ebresh\u00eb e past\u00ebr dhe e pandotur. Q\u00eb nga ai moment Simeoni jetoi me zemr\u00ebn e kthyer n\u00eb pritje, me agj\u00ebrim, lutje dhe prani t\u00eb vazhdueshme n\u00eb tempull. Ai u largua nga \u00e7do lig\u00ebsi dhe mbeti i drejt\u00eb, nderues dhe i ndri\u00e7uar nga Fryma e Shenjt\u00eb, si\u00e7 d\u00ebshmon ungjilli Luka. Vitet kaluan, plaku u plak shum\u00eb, por shpresa nuk iu shua, sepse premtimi i Zotit e mb\u00ebshteti shpirtin e tij. Dyzet dit\u00eb pas Lindjes s\u00eb Zotit, Fryma e njoftoi se ai duhej t\u00eb ngjitej n\u00eb tempullin e Jerusalemit. Me vrull rinor nisi dhe q\u00ebndroi te porta, plot g\u00ebzim t\u00eb brendsh\u00ebm dhe pritshm\u00ebri t\u00eb ndritur. Pas pak u shfaq Jozefi i drejt\u00eb dhe Hyjlind\u00ebse Virgj\u00ebresha, e cila mbajti n\u00eb krah\u00eb Foshnj\u00ebn hyjnore p\u00ebr ligjin e vendosur t\u00eb flijimit. Plaku vrapoi me lot g\u00ebzimi dhe mori Zotin e jet\u00ebs dhe t\u00eb vdekjes n\u00eb duart e tij q\u00eb i dridheshin. Duke par\u00eb fytyr\u00ebn e \u00ebmb\u00ebl t\u00eb F\u00ebmij\u00ebs, ai ngriti shikimin drejt qiellit dhe tha ato fjal\u00eb q\u00eb b\u00ebheshin lutja e \u00e7do mbr\u00ebmjeje t\u00eb Kish\u00ebs. Ai iu lut Despotit q\u00eb ta shkarkonte skllavin e tij n\u00eb paqe, sepse syt\u00eb e tij kishin par\u00eb shp\u00ebtimin e p\u00ebrgatitur p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjith\u00eb popujt e dheut. Ai pa n\u00eb at\u00eb foshnj\u00eb drit\u00ebn q\u00eb do t&#x27;u zbulonte kombeve Per\u00ebndin\u00eb e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb dhe lavdin\u00eb e popullit t\u00eb Izraelit. Pastaj ai bekoi Virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebn dhe Jozefin dhe iu drejtua Hyjlind\u00ebses me nj\u00eb fjal\u00eb solemne profetike. Ai i paratha asaj se F\u00ebmija do t\u00eb b\u00ebhej nj\u00eb shenj\u00eb konflikti, shkaku i r\u00ebnies dhe ringjalljes s\u00eb shum\u00eb njer\u00ebzve n\u00eb Izrael. Pran\u00eb t\u00eb drejtit Simeon q\u00ebndronte n\u00eb at\u00eb koh\u00eb profetesha Ana, e bija e Phanuelit nga fisi i Asherit. Ajo ishte martuar shum\u00eb e re dhe mbeti e ve vet\u00ebm pas shtat\u00eb vitesh jet\u00eb martesore me burrin e saj. Ai u afrua, ra n\u00eb sexhde me lot dhe fal\u00ebnderoi Zotin p\u00ebr m\u00ebshir\u00ebn e tij ndaj popullit t\u00eb tij. Pastaj ai u njoftoi atyre q\u00eb prisnin shpengimin e Jeruzalemit se Mesia i pritur i bot\u00ebs kishte ardhur. Ana u b\u00eb k\u00ebshtu nj\u00eb simbol i t\u00eb gjitha t\u00eb vejave, virgj\u00ebreshave dhe murgeshave, q\u00eb jetojn\u00eb kushtuar Krishtit Dh\u00ebnd\u00ebr. N\u00eb pleq\u00ebri t\u00eb thell\u00eb, Simeoni i drejt\u00eb ia dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin n\u00eb paqe Zotit t\u00eb cilin e kishte mbajtur n\u00eb duar. Tradita thot\u00eb se ai jetoi treqind e gjasht\u00ebdhjet\u00eb vjet, pasi Zoti ia zgjati jet\u00ebn p\u00ebr t\u00eb p\u00ebrmbushur premtimin e engj\u00ebllit.
