Bishat e egra iu afruan trupave t\u00eb tyre, por nuk i prek\u00ebn, sikur u turp\u00ebruan para shenjt\u00ebris\u00eb s\u00eb d\u00ebshmor\u00ebve. Historia e tyre fillon n\u00eb vitet e perandorit romak Numerianus, kur persekutimi kund\u00ebr t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve ishte i t\u00ebrbuar n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb perandorin\u00eb. N\u00eb qytetin e Emesines n\u00eb Sirin\u00eb Hollow jetonte peshkopi Siluanos, s\u00eb bashku me dhjakun Luka dhe lexuesin Mocius. Dikush i b\u00ebri nj\u00eb ankes\u00eb sundimtarit lokal p\u00ebr peshkopin dhe bashk\u00ebpun\u00ebtor\u00ebt e tij n\u00eb sh\u00ebrbimin e kish\u00ebs. Ushtar\u00ebt i kap\u00ebn, i lidh\u00ebn me litar\u00eb dhe i \u00e7uan t\u00eb lidhur p\u00ebrpara gjykat\u00ebs s\u00eb qytetit. Gjykat\u00ebsi i pyeti n\u00ebse besojn\u00eb n\u00eb Krishtin dhe n\u00ebse jan\u00eb gati t\u00eb b\u00ebjn\u00eb flijime p\u00ebr idhujt. T\u00eb tre shenjtor\u00ebt rr\u00ebfyen me z\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb se Krishti \u00ebsht\u00eb i vetmi Per\u00ebndi i v\u00ebrtet\u00eb. N\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn koh\u00eb ata ekzaminuan idhujt dhe i quajt\u00ebn t\u00eb rrem\u00eb dhe t\u00eb pafuqish\u00ebm p\u00ebrpara fuqis\u00eb s\u00eb Zotit. Q\u00ebndrimi i tyre i guximsh\u00ebm e zem\u00ebroi zotin, i cili priste frik\u00eb dhe n\u00ebnshtrim nga t\u00eb burgosurit. Gjykat\u00ebsi fillimisht provoi lajka dhe premtoi se do t\u00eb l\u00ebkundte tre rr\u00ebfimtar\u00ebt e Emes\u00ebs. Kur pa se fjal\u00ebt e tij nuk i preknin fare, urdh\u00ebroi nj\u00eb kamxhik t\u00eb ashp\u00ebr para turm\u00ebs. Pas goditjeve t\u00eb tmerrshme, i hodh\u00ebn t\u00eb rraskapitur n\u00eb nj\u00eb burg t\u00eb err\u00ebt, p\u00ebr t\u00eb thyer q\u00ebndres\u00ebn e tyre. Shenjtor\u00ebt q\u00ebndruan atje p\u00ebr shum\u00eb dit\u00eb, duke duruar dhembjet dhe plag\u00ebt me lutje dhe k\u00ebng\u00eb. Kur zoti i pyeti p\u00ebrs\u00ebri, ai mendoi se shqet\u00ebsimi do t\u00eb kishte ndryshuar mendjen e tyre. Peshkopi, dhjaku dhe lexuesi u paraqit\u00ebn t\u00eb pal\u00ebkundur, me t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtin rr\u00ebfim n\u00eb buz\u00eb. Pastaj gjykat\u00ebsi urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb t\u00eb torturoheshin me uri dhe etje n\u00eb qelin\u00eb e tyre. Ata u privuan nga buka dhe uji p\u00ebr dit\u00eb t\u00eb t\u00ebra, me shpres\u00ebn se rraskapitja fizike do t&#x27;i p\u00ebrkulte m\u00eb n\u00eb fund. Por martirizimet u p\u00ebrs\u00ebrit\u00ebn pa asnj\u00eb rezultat, sepse besimi i tyre nxirrte forc\u00eb nga hiri i Zotit. Zoti, i mundur nga k\u00ebmb\u00ebngulja e tyre, m\u00eb n\u00eb fund vendosi t&#x27;i dor\u00ebzonte ata n\u00eb nj\u00eb vdekje t\u00eb tmerrshme. Ai urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb t&#x27;i hidhnin n\u00eb amfiteat\u00ebr, q\u00eb t&#x27;i gllab\u00ebronin bishat e egra t\u00eb aren\u00ebs. Dit\u00ebn e luftimit t\u00eb bish\u00ebs, tre shenjtor\u00ebt u \u00e7uan t\u00eb lidhur n\u00eb amfiteatrin e Emes\u00ebs, p\u00ebrpara nj\u00eb turme t\u00eb madhe spektator\u00ebsh. Ata hap\u00ebn kafazet dhe l\u00ebshuan kafsh\u00eb t\u00eb ndryshme t\u00eb uritur p\u00ebr t\u00eb nxituar drejt t\u00eb burgosurve. Martir\u00ebt e Krishtit nuk u shqet\u00ebsonin aspak shikimi i kafsh\u00ebve t\u00eb egra dhe goj\u00ebt e tyre t\u00eb hapura. Ata u ngrit\u00ebn, ngrit\u00ebn duart drejt qiellit dhe iu lut\u00ebn Zotit me nj\u00eb z\u00eb. Ata iu lut\u00ebn Krishtit q\u00eb t\u00eb merrte shpirtrat e tyre n\u00eb at\u00eb or\u00eb, pik\u00ebrisht n\u00eb faz\u00ebn e martirizimit t\u00eb tyre. Lutja e tyre u ngjit menj\u00ebher\u00eb n\u00eb fronin e Zotit dhe Zoti e d\u00ebgjoi lutjen e tyre. Ata dor\u00ebzuan shpirtrat e tyre n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb paq\u00ebsore, p\u00ebrpara se kafsh\u00ebt t\u00eb preknin trupat e tyre t\u00eb ndersh\u00ebm. Kur kafsh\u00ebt iu afruan lipsanit, ata q\u00ebndruan rreth tyre me respekt dhe nuk guxuan t&#x27;i thyenin. Turma u shtang nga mrekullia dhe shum\u00eb lavd\u00ebruan fshehurazi Per\u00ebndin\u00eb e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb t\u00eb martir\u00ebve. Nat\u00ebn, t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt e Emes\u00ebs u afruan me kujdes dhe e ngrit\u00ebn lipsanin e shenjt\u00eb nga arena.
