Pak para se t&#x27;i binte koka, veziri e thirri p\u00ebrs\u00ebri tek ai, se mos me lajka dhe premtime se mund ta p\u00ebrkulte. Dhimitri vinte nga nj\u00eb familje e krishter\u00eb dhe jetoi n\u00eb Kostandinopoj\u00eb, n\u00eb vitet e v\u00ebshtira p\u00ebr romanizmin. Ai ishte i pash\u00ebm n\u00eb pamje, i fort\u00eb n\u00eb trup dhe modest n\u00eb sjellje, nj\u00eb djal\u00eb i ri q\u00eb t\u00ebrhiqte v\u00ebmendjen. Ai punonte si ark\u00ebtar n\u00eb nj\u00eb dyqan vere n\u00eb rrethin e Galatas, n\u00eb pron\u00ebsi t\u00eb nj\u00eb t\u00eb krishteri t\u00eb ndersh\u00ebm, Hatzis Panagiotis. Ky dyqan frekuentohej nga disa lazos mizor\u00eb dhe t\u00eb dhunsh\u00ebm nga Ponti, mysliman\u00eb n\u00eb fe. Ata u p\u00ebrpoq\u00ebn disa her\u00eb t\u00eb joshin Dhimitriin e ri n\u00eb besimin e tyre, me fjal\u00eb dhe presion. Por ai q\u00ebndroi i pal\u00ebkundur dhe nuk pranoi t\u00eb hiqte dor\u00eb nga Krishti p\u00ebr hir t\u00eb asnj\u00eb premtimi. I riu mbrojti me guxim pafaj\u00ebsin\u00eb e tij dhe deklaroi se ishte gati t\u00eb vdiste si i krishter\u00eb. M\u00eb kot u p\u00ebrpoq ta joshte me lajka, me premtime t\u00eb pasura dhe me perspektiv\u00ebn e nj\u00eb jete t\u00eb sigurt pran\u00eb tyre. Dhimitri q\u00ebndroi i pal\u00ebkundur dhe p\u00ebrs\u00ebri rr\u00ebfeu dashurin\u00eb e tij ndaj Krishtit para t\u00eb gjith\u00eb t\u00eb pranishm\u00ebve. Pastaj veziri e dor\u00ebzoi n\u00eb duart e vet\u00eb akuzuesve t\u00eb tij, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt e prisnin me urrejtje. E t\u00ebrhoq\u00ebn zvarr\u00eb me dhun\u00eb n\u00eb tavern\u00ebn ku punonte, n\u00eb rrug\u00ebn e njohur t\u00eb p\u00ebrditshm\u00ebris\u00eb s\u00eb tij. Aty ishte mbledhur nj\u00eb turm\u00eb e madhe turqish p\u00ebr ta detyruar t\u00eb mohonte besimin dhe t\u00eb arratisej. Por t\u00eb gjitha p\u00ebrpjekjet e tyre ishin t\u00eb kota, sepse neod\u00ebshmori nuk u p\u00ebrkul as p\u00ebrball\u00eb vdekjes. K\u00ebshtu, m\u00eb nj\u00ebzet e shtat\u00eb janar t\u00eb nj\u00eb mij\u00eb e shtat\u00ebqind e tet\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e kat\u00ebr pas Krishtit, atij iu pre koka para vet\u00eb dyqanit t\u00eb ver\u00ebs. Ai dha d\u00ebshmin\u00eb e Krishtit n\u00eb vendin ku kishte jetuar besimin e tij t\u00eb p\u00ebrditsh\u00ebm. P\u00ebr shum\u00eb net\u00eb, nj\u00eb drit\u00eb qiellore zbriti dhe q\u00ebndroi mbi reliktin e shenjt\u00eb t\u00eb neod\u00ebshmorit. Kjo shenj\u00eb e mrekullueshme u pa nga shum\u00eb banor\u00eb t\u00eb zon\u00ebs dhe ata fol\u00ebn me nj\u00ebri-tjetrin me frik\u00eb dhe k\u00ebnaq\u00ebsi. M\u00eb pas, nj\u00eb i krishter\u00eb i devotsh\u00ebm u sigurua q\u00eb ta blinte trupin e tij t\u00eb ndersh\u00ebm nga turqit, p\u00ebr ta varrosur me respektin e duhur. K\u00ebshtu Dhimitri nuk u varros, por u dor\u00ebzua n\u00eb tok\u00eb me nderimet dhe lutjet e v\u00ebllez\u00ebrve t\u00eb tij n\u00eb besim. Por urrejtja e akuzuesve t\u00eb tij nuk u shua me vdekjen e tij dhe nuk u shua. Pak koh\u00eb m\u00eb von\u00eb, t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebt persona q\u00eb e kishin shpifur u kthyen kund\u00ebr pronarit t\u00eb tavern\u00ebs.
