Pak vite m\u00eb von\u00eb, i nj\u00ebjti asket shp\u00ebtoi me nj\u00eb lutje jet\u00ebn e nj\u00eb armiku polak, ndoshta nj\u00eb prej atyre q\u00eb i kishin djegur manastirin. Osh\u00ebnar Makarios lindi n\u00eb Rusi n\u00eb vitin 1539 dhe n\u00eb rinin\u00eb e tij u b\u00eb murg me emrin Onufri. N\u00eb 1585 ai themeloi Manastirin e Fjetjes s\u00eb Hyjlind\u00ebses, pran\u00eb lumit Oka dhe jo shum\u00eb larg qytetit t\u00eb Belef. Manastiri u rrit n\u00eb heshtje dhe u mbush me v\u00ebllez\u00ebr, derisa nj\u00ebqind e gjasht\u00ebqind e pes\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb u shkat\u00ebrrua plot\u00ebsisht nga trupat e Lisovsky. Kur u kthye n\u00eb apokaid\u00ebt, Osh\u00ebnar nuk u p\u00ebrkul dhe nuk e braktisi vendin e tij t\u00eb luft\u00ebs. Ai mblodhi p\u00ebrs\u00ebri v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit dhe n\u00eb vend t\u00eb tempullit prej druri ngriti nj\u00eb kish\u00eb prej guri p\u00ebr nder t\u00eb hyrjeve t\u00eb Virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebs, me nj\u00eb kambanore mbi port\u00ebn qendrore t\u00eb manastirit. Jeta e Shenjtorit ishte plot me ushtrime t\u00eb v\u00ebshtira, si\u00e7 d\u00ebshmojn\u00eb vet\u00eb kronikat e manastirit, me t\u00eb ftoht\u00eb, vap\u00eb, uri dhe etje. Ai shpesh shkonte thell\u00eb n\u00eb pyll dhe atje, i vet\u00ebm, i jepte or\u00ebt e tij lutjes dhe heshtjes s\u00eb Zotit. Nj\u00eb dit\u00eb, teksa po ecte p\u00ebrgjat\u00eb nj\u00eb shtegu, d\u00ebgjoi nj\u00eb r\u00ebnkim t\u00eb leht\u00eb q\u00eb vinte nga diku af\u00ebr. Ai pa nj\u00eb ushtar polak t\u00eb rraskapitur t\u00eb mb\u00ebshtetur n\u00eb nj\u00eb trung, me shpat\u00ebn e tij t\u00eb shtrir\u00eb pran\u00eb tij n\u00eb tok\u00eb. Ai kishte humbur regjimentin e tij dhe kishte humbur n\u00eb pyllin e dendur, pa uj\u00eb dhe pa shpres\u00eb shp\u00ebtimi. Me nj\u00eb z\u00eb t\u00eb mbytur ky armik, ndoshta nj\u00eb nga shkat\u00ebrruesit e manastirit, i k\u00ebrkoi pak uj\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb jetuar. Dashuria dhe dhembshuria v\u00ebrshuan te murgu, i cili nuk e kujtoi p\u00ebr asnj\u00eb \u00e7ast t\u00eb kaluar\u00ebn. Me nj\u00eb lutje drejtuar Zotit, ai e nguli shkopin e tij n\u00eb tok\u00eb dhe menj\u00ebher\u00eb doli nj\u00eb burim uji i fresk\u00ebt. Ai e ujiti njeriun q\u00eb po vdiste dhe i dha jet\u00eb me duart e tij. Kur jeta e jashtme dhe e brendshme e manastirit u rivendos plot\u00ebsisht, Osh\u00ebnar Onufri u t\u00ebrhoq nga jeta e p\u00ebrbashk\u00ebt e v\u00ebllez\u00ebrve. Ai ia besoi drejtimin e v\u00ebllaz\u00ebris\u00eb nj\u00ebrit prej dishepujve t\u00eb tij dhe mori figur\u00ebn e madhe me emrin e ri Makarios. P\u00ebr vendin e tij t\u00eb paqes ai zgjodhi nj\u00eb vend t\u00eb shkret\u00eb n\u00eb rrjedh\u00ebn e sip\u00ebrme t\u00eb deg\u00ebs Zambynka, pran\u00eb brigjeve t\u00eb Oka. Praktika e tij e rrept\u00eb mbeti e fshehur jo vet\u00ebm nga bota, por edhe nga v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit e tij t\u00eb dashur t\u00eb manastirit. Fjeti i qet\u00eb n\u00eb vitin 1623, n\u00eb mosh\u00ebn tet\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e kat\u00ebr vje\u00e7, pik\u00ebrisht n\u00eb koh\u00ebn kur k\u00ebndonin gjelat. Ai u varros p\u00ebrball\u00eb port\u00ebs s\u00eb manastirit, m\u00eb nj\u00ebzet e dy janar, n\u00eb dit\u00ebn e p\u00ebrkujtimit t\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Timoteut Apostull. M\u00eb von\u00eb, n\u00eb at\u00eb vend u ngrit nj\u00eb tempull kushtuar emrit t\u00eb tij. Nga standardet e vjetra piktoreske nj\u00eb p\u00ebrshkrim i tij mbijeton vitet e fundit. Ai kishte flok\u00eb t\u00eb thinjura, nj\u00eb mjek\u00ebr t\u00eb vog\u00ebl dhe mbi kas\u00ebn e vetmuar mbante figur\u00ebn e madhe t\u00eb shtetit engj\u00ebllor. Nderi i Osius u vendos n\u00eb fund t\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb shtat\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb ose n\u00eb fillim t\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb tet\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb. Sipas tradit\u00ebs, eshtrat e tij q\u00ebndruan t\u00eb ekspozuar p\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb gjat\u00eb, deri n\u00eb vitin 1721 ato u varros\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb kript\u00eb t\u00eb n\u00ebndheshme. Megjithat\u00eb, n\u00eb shekullin e tet\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb, manastiri u shkretua dhe kujtimi i veprave dhe mrekullive t\u00eb tij u harrua pothuajse plot\u00ebsisht nga njer\u00ebzit. Kur n\u00eb vitin 1816, gjat\u00eb nd\u00ebrtimit t\u00eb kish\u00ebs s\u00eb Agios Nikolaos, u gjet lipsani i pathyesh\u00ebm i themeluesit t\u00eb manastirit, ata nuk i njoh\u00ebn menj\u00ebher\u00eb. M\u00eb pas ata kryen nj\u00eb sh\u00ebrbim t\u00eb p\u00ebrgjithsh\u00ebm p\u00ebrkujtimor mbi ta, sikur t\u00eb ishte ndonj\u00eb baba i panjohur q\u00eb flinte. Rivendosja e kujtes\u00ebs liturgjike t\u00eb shenjtorit i atribuohet abatit Jonas, i cili lindi n\u00eb nj\u00ebzet e dy janarit, dit\u00ebn e fest\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. Jonas filloi udh\u00ebtimin e tij t\u00eb vetmuar n\u00eb manastirin e famsh\u00ebm t\u00eb Optin\u00ebs, i cili \u00ebsht\u00eb jo shum\u00eb larg manastirit t\u00eb Zambyn. K\u00ebshtu, providenca hyjnore e lidhi jet\u00ebn e tij me nderin e themeluesit t\u00eb lasht\u00eb. N\u00eb 1875, Abati Ionas mori me g\u00ebzim t\u00eb madh abatin e manastirit t\u00eb Zambyn. K\u00ebrkesa e tij p\u00ebr t\u00eb ringjallur fest\u00ebn e Sh\u00ebn Macarius u forcua nga lutja e zjarrt\u00eb e njer\u00ebzve t\u00eb Belef. Ata njer\u00ebz gjat\u00eb shekujve e kishin mbajtur t\u00eb gjall\u00eb besimin dhe nderimin ndaj asketit t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb. M\u00eb nj\u00ebzet e dy janar t\u00eb nj\u00eb mij\u00eb e tet\u00ebqind e tet\u00ebdhjet\u00eb e tet\u00eb, rifilloi zyrtarisht kremtimi vjetor i kujtimit t\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Makarios. Pak m\u00eb von\u00eb, n\u00eb 1889, ajo u ngrit mbi varrin e tempullit kushtuar emrit t\u00eb tij. Abati Ionas, i cili jetonte n\u00eb manastir dhe vet\u00eb mori pjes\u00eb n\u00eb nd\u00ebrtim, mendoi t\u00eb merrte lipsanin. Kur gjith\u00e7ka ishte pothuajse gati p\u00ebr aktin zyrtar, Osh\u00ebnar Makarios iu shfaq pjes\u00ebmarr\u00ebsve n\u00eb nj\u00eb vizion. Ai i paralajm\u00ebroi ashp\u00ebr q\u00eb t\u00eb mos ecnin p\u00ebrpara me planin e tyre, p\u00ebrndryshe do t\u00eb nd\u00ebshkoheshin. Kujtimi i k\u00ebsaj paraqitjeje u ruajt me respekt t\u00eb thell\u00eb midis murgjve t\u00eb manastirit.
