Q\u00eb n\u00eb mosh\u00eb t\u00eb vog\u00ebl la sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e babait dhe u ngjit n\u00eb malin Athos, ku hyri n\u00eb manastirin serb t\u00eb Hilandario-s. Me kalimin e koh\u00ebs ai u shugurua dhjak dhe m\u00eb pas plak, duke sh\u00ebrbyer me p\u00ebrul\u00ebsi n\u00eb sh\u00ebrbesa t\u00eb ndryshme t\u00eb manastirit. Zelli dhe maturia e tij b\u00ebri q\u00eb baballar\u00ebt ta zgjidhnin at\u00eb abat t\u00eb v\u00ebllaz\u00ebris\u00eb. N\u00eb Sfistovi damaskenit iu desh t\u00eb merrte qiran\u00eb nga nj\u00eb osman, i cili shfryt\u00ebzonte pron\u00ebn q\u00eb i p\u00ebrkiste manastirit. Por burri nuk donte t\u00eb paguante borxhin dhe doli me nj\u00eb plan dinak p\u00ebr t&#x27;i shp\u00ebtuar borxhit. Damaskeni, megjithat\u00eb, u p\u00ebrgjigj me guxim, pa asnj\u00eb gjurm\u00eb frike para gjykat\u00ebsve dhe shpif\u00ebsve t\u00eb tij.
