Ai lindi n\u00eb fshatin Berezniko, af\u00ebr manastirit t\u00eb Kirilit, n\u00eb vitin nj\u00ebmij\u00eb e treqind e shtat\u00ebdhjet\u00eb pas Krishtit dhe u rrit me nderimin q\u00eb i b\u00ebnin prind\u00ebrit e tij t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm. Fama e asketit t\u00eb madh kishte arritur n\u00eb fshatin e tij dhe ndezi n\u00eb shpirtin e f\u00ebmij\u00ebs d\u00ebshir\u00ebn p\u00ebr nj\u00eb jet\u00eb t\u00eb vetmuar. K\u00ebshtu, pa i k\u00ebrkuar leje askujt, doli rrug\u00ebve dhe mb\u00ebrriti n\u00eb manastir, duke iu lutur plakut q\u00eb ta priste. Osh\u00ebnar Kirili pa zjarrin n\u00eb syt\u00eb e t\u00eb riut dhe e mbajti at\u00eb si kumbar. Q\u00eb nga ai moment Majk\u00eblli ia dor\u00ebzoi gjith\u00eb jet\u00ebn t\u00eb moshuarit, me dashuri, heshtje dhe bindje absolute ndaj \u00e7do urdhri. N\u00eb manastir, i n\u00ebnshtruari i ri m\u00ebsonte shkronja, leximin dhe shkrimin dhe tregoi nj\u00eb zell t\u00eb till\u00eb, saq\u00eb i moshuari e bekoi t\u00eb merrej me kopjimin e librave t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb. Me durim dhe lutje u p\u00ebrkul mbi dor\u00ebshkrimet p\u00ebr or\u00eb t\u00eb t\u00ebra, duke u dh\u00ebn\u00eb v\u00ebllez\u00ebrve tekste t\u00eb \u00e7muara q\u00eb ushqejn\u00eb jet\u00ebn shpirt\u00ebrore. Dashuria e tij p\u00ebr t\u00eb m\u00ebsuar shkoi gjithmon\u00eb krah p\u00ebr krah me p\u00ebrul\u00ebsin\u00eb dhe but\u00ebsin\u00eb q\u00eb fitoi pran\u00eb m\u00ebsuesit t\u00eb tij. K\u00ebshtu ai u t\u00ebrhoq n\u00eb nj\u00eb ishull t\u00eb shkret\u00eb n\u00eb liqenin e Voz\u00ebs, duke k\u00ebrkuar \u00ebmb\u00eblsin\u00eb e vetmis\u00eb dhe kungimin e pand\u00ebrprer\u00eb me Zotin n\u00eb heshtjen e natyr\u00ebs. K\u00ebshtu ishulli i shkret\u00eb u shnd\u00ebrrua n\u00eb nj\u00eb vend lutjeje dhe dashurie t\u00eb p\u00ebrbashk\u00ebt, me Martinianon q\u00eb i udh\u00ebzoi v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit me maturi dhe aft\u00ebsi dalluese. M\u00eb von\u00eb, murgjit e manastirit t\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Therapontit, t\u00eb mbetur pa abat, iu drejtuan Sh\u00ebn Osios me lutje t\u00eb vazhdueshme q\u00eb ai t\u00eb merrte at\u00ebsin\u00eb e tyre shpirt\u00ebrore. N\u00eb fillim ai nuk pranoi, pasi e donte qet\u00ebsin\u00eb e ishullit, por k\u00ebmb\u00ebngulja e v\u00ebllez\u00ebrve dhe dashuria e tij p\u00ebr ta m\u00eb n\u00eb fund u qet\u00ebsuan. N\u00eb ato vite t\u00eb trazuara, Princi i Madh Vasili u vu n\u00eb prov\u00eb pasi kush\u00ebriri i tij i par\u00eb Demetrius Semiakas u p\u00ebrpoq ilegalisht t\u00eb uzurponte fronin e Mosk\u00ebs. Osh\u00ebnar Martinianos i q\u00ebndroi pran\u00eb sundimtarit t\u00eb sprovuar me mb\u00ebshtetje shpirt\u00ebrore, fjal\u00eb t\u00eb s\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00ebs dhe mbrojtje t\u00eb guximshme t\u00eb drejt\u00ebsis\u00eb. Pleq\u00ebria dhe pun\u00ebt e pand\u00ebrprera asketike ia kishin rraskapitur trupin dhe nj\u00eb s\u00ebmundje e r\u00ebnd\u00eb ia kishte hequr forc\u00ebn p\u00ebr t\u00eb ecur.
