M\u00eb von\u00eb, i nj\u00ebjti njeri i Per\u00ebndis\u00eb q\u00ebndroi para mbretit Roboam kur faraoni i Egjiptit k\u00ebrc\u00ebnoi se do t\u00eb rrafshonte Jerusalemin. Profeti Samajah lindi n\u00eb Shiloh, n\u00eb koh\u00ebn kur i urti Solomon mbret\u00ebronte mbi popullin e bashkuar t\u00eb Izraelit. Emri i tij do t\u00eb thot\u00eb n\u00eb gjuh\u00ebn hebraike q\u00eb Per\u00ebndia d\u00ebgjon dhe jeta e tij e konfirmoi plot\u00ebsisht k\u00ebt\u00eb em\u00ebrtim. Pas vdekjes s\u00eb Solomonit, n\u00eb fron u ngjit i biri i Roboamit dhe m\u00eb pas ndodhi p\u00ebr\u00e7arja e madhe e popullit hebre. Ai u tha atyre me guxim se Zoti e ndalon rrept\u00ebsisht luft\u00ebn kund\u00ebr v\u00ebllez\u00ebrve t\u00eb tyre, bijve t\u00eb Izraelit. Secili duhej t\u00eb kthehej i qet\u00eb n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e tij, sepse kjo p\u00ebr\u00e7arje ishte b\u00ebr\u00eb me p\u00eblqimin dhe vullnetin e tij. Mbreti dhe njer\u00ebzit iu bind\u00ebn me nderim mesazhit profetik dhe k\u00ebshtu u shmang nj\u00eb luft\u00eb e tmerrshme v\u00ebllavras\u00ebse. Por kaluan disa vjet dhe Roboami gradualisht u largua nga Per\u00ebndia i v\u00ebrtet\u00eb i et\u00ebrve t\u00eb tij. N\u00eb vitin e pest\u00eb t\u00eb mbret\u00ebrimit t\u00eb tij, Shushakimi, mbreti i fuqish\u00ebm i Egjiptit, b\u00ebri nj\u00eb pushtim t\u00eb shpejt\u00eb n\u00eb vendin e Judes\u00eb. Ushtria e madhe e faraonit pushtoi t\u00eb gjitha qytetet e fortifikuara t\u00eb Judes\u00eb dhe k\u00ebrc\u00ebnoi t\u00eb arrinte deri te muret e Jeruzalemit. Njeriu i Per\u00ebndis\u00eb u njoftoi drejtp\u00ebrdrejt atyre se Zoti po i braktiste, sepse ata e kishin braktisur t\u00eb par\u00ebt. K\u00ebshtu ata u dor\u00ebzuan n\u00eb duart e Shusakeimit si pasoj\u00eb e drejt\u00eb e apostazis\u00eb dhe pabesis\u00eb s\u00eb tyre. Por mbreti dhe krer\u00ebt e popullit u p\u00ebrul\u00ebn v\u00ebrtet p\u00ebrpara fjal\u00ebs s\u00eb Per\u00ebndis\u00eb. Me zemra t\u00eb thyera, t\u00eb gjith\u00eb s\u00eb bashku rr\u00ebfyen se Zoti \u00ebsht\u00eb v\u00ebrtet i drejt\u00eb n\u00eb gjykimet e tij. Pastaj Zoti foli p\u00ebrs\u00ebri me profetin Samajah dhe i zbuloi atij vullnetin e tij t\u00eb ri. P\u00ebr shkak se ata ishin t\u00eb p\u00ebrulur, Ai nuk do t&#x27;i shkat\u00ebrronte plot\u00ebsisht, por i \u00e7liroi shpejt nga armiku. Zem\u00ebrimi i tij nuk do t\u00eb ndizet mbi Jerusalemin nga dora e mbretit egjiptian. Shushakimi pla\u00e7kiti Jeruzalemin, mori shum\u00eb thesare nga tempulli dhe pallatet dhe u kthye n\u00eb Egjipt. Por ai nuk e shkat\u00ebrroi plot\u00ebsisht qytetin, as nuk e internoi popullin, fal\u00eb pendimit t\u00eb mbretit. Roboami mbret\u00ebroi p\u00ebr dymb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb vjet t\u00eb tjer\u00eb, dhe zem\u00ebrimi i Zotit u largua nga ai.
