Nj\u00eb her\u00eb ai i dha vi\u00e7in e vet\u00ebm t\u00eb manastirit nj\u00eb fshatari t\u00eb varf\u00ebr q\u00eb kishte humbur t\u00eb gjith\u00eb bag\u00ebtin\u00eb. Ky asket i ndritur lindi n\u00eb Tarsia t\u00eb Bitinis\u00eb, nga prind\u00ebr t\u00eb devotsh\u00ebm dhe t\u00eb pasur, Gjergji dhe Megeto. Osh\u00ebnar Efstratios, me nxitjen e mikut t\u00eb tij Sh\u00ebn Joaniit t\u00eb Madh, t\u00eb cilin Kisha e nderon n\u00eb n\u00ebntor, u largua p\u00ebrkoh\u00ebsisht nga manastiri. Ai u prit nga vetmitar\u00eb t\u00eb njohur t\u00eb koh\u00ebs dhe bashk\u00eb me ta jetoi gjyqet e persekutimit. Ai u ndal p\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb edhe n\u00eb Kostandinopoj\u00eb, ku u burgos dhe duroi torturat e persekutor\u00ebve bashk\u00eb me shum\u00eb t\u00eb tjer\u00eb. M\u00eb pas ai u kthye n\u00eb atdheun e tij, por nuk mundi menj\u00ebher\u00eb t\u00eb mblidhte v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit e shp\u00ebrndar\u00eb dhe t\u00eb rifillonte administrimin e manastirit t\u00eb tij. Sapo Ortodoksia triumfoi dhe ikonat e shenjta u rivendos\u00ebn, Osh\u00ebnari u kthye n\u00eb manastirin e tij t\u00eb dashur. Ai e filloi p\u00ebrs\u00ebri jet\u00ebn e tij asketike si shembull i gjall\u00eb i \u00e7do virtyti monastik p\u00ebr v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit m\u00eb t\u00eb vegj\u00ebl. Dit\u00ebn punonte me v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit, nd\u00ebrsa nat\u00ebn ia kushtonte lutjes dhe pendes\u00ebs. Gjat\u00eb sh\u00ebrbimit t\u00eb Orthros, ai q\u00ebndroi drejt n\u00eb hapin e shenjt\u00eb nga fillimi deri n\u00eb fund t\u00eb sh\u00ebrbimit. Gjat\u00eb gjith\u00eb koh\u00ebs ai p\u00ebrs\u00ebriti mend\u00ebrisht dhe pa nd\u00ebrprerje urimin \u201cZot, m\u00ebshiro\u201d, me acarim dhe lot. Ai vizitonte shpesh qelit\u00eb q\u00eb vareshin nga manastiri p\u00ebr t\u00eb forcuar dhe ngush\u00eblluar v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit n\u00eb betejat e tyre shpirt\u00ebrore. N\u00eb rrug\u00eb ai nuk hezitoi t&#x27;i jepte pallton nj\u00eb lyp\u00ebs q\u00eb vuante nga i ftohti. Ndonj\u00ebher\u00eb ai ia jepte edhe kalin e tij nj\u00eb ushtari q\u00eb kishte humbur t\u00eb tij\u00ebn dhe ishte n\u00eb nevoj\u00eb. Nj\u00eb her\u00eb ai i dhuroi vi\u00e7in e vet\u00ebm t\u00eb manastirit nj\u00eb fshatari t\u00eb varf\u00ebr q\u00eb kishte humbur t\u00eb gjitha kafsh\u00ebt e tij. Kur u kthye nga Kostandinopoja, u shp\u00ebrndau t\u00eb varf\u00ebrve gjith\u00eb argjendin q\u00eb i kishte dh\u00ebn\u00eb perandori. Nj\u00eb dit\u00eb ai takoi nj\u00eb burr\u00eb n\u00eb rrug\u00eb, i cili, nga d\u00ebshp\u00ebrimi p\u00ebr m\u00ebkatet e tij, po p\u00ebrgatitej t\u00eb vriste veten me litar. Osh\u00ebnar Efstratios i kapi dor\u00ebn, e vuri n\u00eb qaf\u00eb dhe i foli me dashuri at\u00ebrore. Ai i tha se q\u00eb nga ai moment barra e m\u00ebkateve i ra mbi t\u00eb dhe se ai vet\u00eb do t\u00eb mbante nj\u00eb fjalim n\u00eb Dit\u00ebn e Gjykimit. Ai e urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb ta hidhte litarin dhe ta mb\u00ebshtette s\u00ebrish shpres\u00ebn n\u00eb bamir\u00ebsin\u00eb e Zotit. Me lutjen e tij t\u00eb zjarrt\u00eb, Osh\u00ebnar sh\u00ebroi t\u00eb s\u00ebmur\u00ebt, ringjalli t\u00eb vdekurit, shuante zjarret dhe kreu shum\u00eb mrekulli paradoksale. N\u00eb udh\u00ebtimin e saj t\u00eb fundit p\u00ebr n\u00eb Konstandinopoj\u00eb, anija u p\u00ebrplas me gur\u00eb dhe shpejt filloi t\u00eb merrte uj\u00eb.
