Nj\u00eb f\u00ebmij\u00eb tre vje\u00e7ar ishte mb\u00ebshtjell\u00eb n\u00eb nj\u00eb tuf\u00eb, me kok\u00ebn midis gjunj\u00ebve dhe k\u00ebmb\u00ebt e hedhura mbi supe. Peshkopi Valentin u mbyll me t\u00eb vet\u00ebm p\u00ebr nj\u00eb nat\u00eb t\u00eb t\u00ebr\u00eb dhe n\u00eb mesnat\u00eb dhoma u p\u00ebrmbyt me drit\u00eb qiellore. Shenjtori jetonte n\u00eb provinc\u00ebn italiane t\u00eb Umbria, n\u00eb qytetin Interamni, q\u00eb sot quhet Terni, dhe kishte marr\u00eb nga Zoti dhurat\u00ebn e sh\u00ebrimit. Duke u lutur dhe thirrur emrin e Jezu Krishtit, ai sh\u00ebroi t\u00eb gjitha llojet e s\u00ebmundjeve dhe i afroi pagan\u00ebt me besimin e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb. Sh\u00ebn Valentini iu p\u00ebrgjigj me besim se n\u00ebse do v\u00ebrtet, djali i tij do t\u00eb jet\u00eb mir\u00eb. Craton i ofroi t’i jepte gjysm\u00ebn e pasuris\u00eb s\u00eb tij, vet\u00ebm n\u00ebse ai mund ta shp\u00ebtonte f\u00ebmij\u00ebn e tij nga vuajtjet. Por peshkopi u habit dhe e pyeti se si nj\u00eb m\u00ebsues kaq i men\u00e7ur nuk mund t’i kuptonte fjal\u00ebt e tij t\u00eb thjeshta. Ai i shpjegoi atij se vet\u00ebm n\u00ebse beson n\u00eb Krishtin do t\u00eb ndodh\u00eb mrekullia, sepse \u00e7do gj\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb e mundur p\u00ebr at\u00eb q\u00eb beson v\u00ebrtet. Shenjtori nuk k\u00ebrkoi para dhe n\u00eb k\u00ebmbim, vet\u00ebm besimin e past\u00ebr dhe t\u00eb pakthyesh\u00ebm t\u00eb babait. Ai e nxiti at\u00eb t\u00eb mohonte t\u00eb gjith\u00eb idhujt dhe t’i drejtohej me gjith\u00eb zem\u00ebr Zotit t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb, t\u00eb paduksh\u00ebm dhe t\u00eb plotfuqish\u00ebm. Kraton u trazua brenda vetes dhe ngadal\u00eb filloi t’ia shpaloste dyshimin peshkopit. Ai i tha shenjtorit se \u00e7do njeri shp\u00ebtohet vet\u00ebm nga besimi i tij dhe besimi i nj\u00ebrit nuk mund t’i sjell\u00eb dobi tjetrit. Ai rr\u00ebfeu se beson n\u00eb Zotin e predikuar nga peshkopi dhe pranoi se vet\u00ebm ai urdh\u00ebron jet\u00ebn dhe vdekjen.
