Disa dit\u00eb m\u00eb von\u00eb, Hilarios i ri p\u00ebrqafoi daj\u00ebn e tij t\u00eb lidhur n\u00eb rrug\u00ebn e martirizimit dhe rr\u00ebfeu me z\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb besimin e tij t\u00eb krishter\u00eb. Dy shenjtor\u00ebt vinin nga fshati Kallipti, af\u00ebr Ankaras\u00eb n\u00eb Azin\u00eb e Vog\u00ebl. M\u00eb pas ai e pyeti d\u00ebshmitarin n\u00ebse dinte p\u00ebr dekretet perandorake q\u00eb k\u00ebrkonin q\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt t&#8217;u b\u00ebnin flijime idhujve. Trim rrfimtari u p\u00ebrgjigj se ai d\u00ebgjoi dekretet e t\u00eb paligjshm\u00ebve, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt \u00e7ojn\u00eb shum\u00eb n\u00eb humbje dhe veten e tyre n\u00eb shkat\u00ebrrim t\u00eb p\u00ebrjetsh\u00ebm. Maksimi u indinjua dhe e pyeti n\u00ebse guxonte t\u00eb akuzonte perandorin dhe t\u00eb blasfemonte ligjet e Rom\u00ebs. Prokli iu p\u00ebrgjigj se nuk kishte aspak frik\u00eb nga torturat, t\u00eb cilat vret vet\u00ebm trupin dhe kurr\u00eb shpirtin. Sundimtari i tregoi instrumentet e tmerrshme t\u00eb tortur\u00ebs dhe i k\u00ebrkoi t\u00eb zgjidhte midis jet\u00ebs dhe vdekjes. Martiri u p\u00ebrgjigj se t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt i frik\u00ebsohen shkeljes s\u00eb urdhrit t\u00eb Zotit m\u00eb shum\u00eb se \u00e7do vuajtje t\u00eb p\u00ebrkohshme. Ai madje shtoi se me hirin e Zotit do ta b\u00ebj\u00eb vet\u00eb sundimtarin t\u00eb shkruaj\u00eb me dor\u00ebn e tij se i vetmi Zot i v\u00ebrtet\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb Per\u00ebndia i Prokliut. Maksimi i t\u00ebrbuar menj\u00ebher\u00eb urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb shenjtori t\u00eb vareshin lakuriq n\u00eb nj\u00eb pem\u00eb dhe t&#8217;i lidhnin nj\u00eb gur t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00eb n\u00eb k\u00ebmb\u00eb. Pastaj me kthetra hekuri ia gris\u00ebn pa m\u00ebshir\u00eb mishin, nd\u00ebrsa ai heshti dhe shikonte vet\u00ebm qiellin. Pastaj e zbrit\u00ebn nga varja dhe e hodh\u00ebn t\u00eb lidhur brenda n\u00eb burg. S\u00eb shpejti sundimtari u nis p\u00ebr n\u00eb qytetin e Kalliptit dhe urdh\u00ebroi d\u00ebshmorit t\u00eb vraponte n\u00eb k\u00ebmb\u00eb pas karroc\u00ebs s\u00eb tij t\u00eb shpejt\u00eb. Pasi kishte kaluar pothuajse gjysma e rrug\u00ebs, Prokli ngriti z\u00ebrin drejt qiellit dhe i k\u00ebrkoi Zotit t\u00eb ndalonte qerren e ndjek\u00ebsit t\u00eb paligjsh\u00ebm. Ai iu lut Zotit q\u00eb t\u00eb mos e lejonte Maksimin t\u00eb vazhdonte udh\u00ebtimin e tij derisa t\u00eb rr\u00ebfente para t\u00eb gjith\u00ebve se nuk ka Zot tjet\u00ebr t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb. Sapo mbaroi namazin, sundimtari mbeti i pal\u00ebvizur brenda karroc\u00ebs s\u00eb tij, sikur i lidhur me litar\u00eb t\u00eb paduksh\u00ebm. As kuajt nuk mund t\u00eb l\u00ebviznin dhe as ai nuk mund t\u00eb zbriste. T\u00eb gjith\u00eb ushtar\u00ebt u mahnit\u00ebn nga mrekullia paradoksale dhe m\u00eb kot u p\u00ebrpoq\u00ebn t\u00eb tundnin qerren. Ata mb\u00ebrthyen kuajt e tjer\u00eb, t\u00ebrhoq\u00ebn fort, por nuk mund t\u00eb l\u00ebviznin asgj\u00eb. Ai menj\u00ebher\u00eb d\u00ebrgoi nj\u00eb sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtor t\u00eb quajtur Hermias te Proclus p\u00ebr ta pyetur at\u00eb sakt\u00ebsisht se \u00e7far\u00eb po b\u00ebnte. Martiri iu p\u00ebrgjigj t\u00eb d\u00ebrguarit se askush nuk do t\u00eb l\u00ebvizte nga ai vend derisa sundimtari t\u00eb rr\u00ebfente me shkrim emrin e Jezu Krishtit. Hermia pyeti se si do ta m\u00ebsonte Prokli rr\u00ebfimin, pasi ai \u00ebsht\u00eb shum\u00eb larg sundimtarit. Shenjtori k\u00ebrkoi q\u00eb rr\u00ebfimi t\u00eb shkruhej n\u00eb let\u00ebr dhe t&#8217;i d\u00ebrgohej menj\u00ebher\u00eb. At\u00ebher\u00eb Maksimi, megjith\u00ebse nuk donte, u detyrua nga fatkeq\u00ebsia e tij t\u00eb merrte let\u00ebr dhe t\u00eb shkruante t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00ebn me dor\u00eb. K\u00ebshtu ai shkroi se ekziston nj\u00eb Zot i v\u00ebrtet\u00eb, ai t\u00eb cilin Prokli e nderon dhe nuk ka Zot tjet\u00ebr jasht\u00eb tij. Sapo ia d\u00ebrgoi shkrimin d\u00ebshmitarit, kuajt dhe ushtar\u00ebt filluan menj\u00ebher\u00eb rrug\u00ebn p\u00ebr n\u00eb qytet. Kur arrit\u00ebn n\u00eb Kallipti, sundimtari u ul p\u00ebrs\u00ebri n\u00eb shesh dhe u p\u00ebrpoq t\u00eb hakmerrej ndaj rr\u00ebfimtarit trim. Ai urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb t\u00eb silleshin pishtar\u00eb t\u00eb ndezur dhe t\u00eb digjnin me to barkun dhe an\u00ebt e Proclit. Aq shum\u00eb ia dogj\u00ebn mishin, saq\u00eb i gjith\u00eb trupi i tij u b\u00eb nj\u00eb plag\u00eb e tmerrshme, por ai mbeti i heshtur. Maksimi u mrekullua nga q\u00ebndrueshm\u00ebria e tij dhe e pyeti n\u00ebse ai i p\u00ebrbuzte k\u00ebshtu torturat e tij. Shenjtori u p\u00ebrgjigj se ai i p\u00ebrbuz torturat e p\u00ebrkohshme dhe i frik\u00ebsohet vet\u00ebm atyre t\u00eb p\u00ebrjetshmes. Sundimtari e pyeti n\u00ebse m\u00eb n\u00eb fund do t&#8217;i n\u00ebnshtrohej per\u00ebndive t\u00eb Rom\u00ebs. Martiri u p\u00ebrgjigj me vendosm\u00ebri se i n\u00ebnshtrohet vet\u00ebm Krishtit, i cili \u00ebsht\u00eb shpresa e tij e p\u00ebrjetshme dhe e pal\u00ebkundur. M\u00eb pas Maksimi urdh\u00ebroi ushtar\u00ebt q\u00eb ta nxirrnin shenjtorin nga qyteti dhe ta lidhnin n\u00eb nj\u00eb pem\u00eb. Q\u00eb andej do t\u00eb q\u00ebllohej me shigjeta derisa t\u00eb jepte shpirtin trim. Rrug\u00ebs p\u00ebr n\u00eb vendin e martirizimit, ushtar\u00ebt u p\u00ebrpoq\u00ebn ta bindin, duke i premtuar kujdes mjek\u00ebsor dhe poste t\u00eb larta. Prokli u p\u00ebrgjigj se ai tashm\u00eb ka nj\u00eb detyr\u00eb n\u00eb qiell, t\u00eb dh\u00ebn\u00eb nga vet\u00eb Krishti. Nd\u00ebrsa p\u00ebrparuan, takuan nj\u00eb djal\u00eb t\u00eb ri me emrin Hilarius, nipi i shenjtorit dhe djali i v\u00ebllait t\u00eb tij. Ai e p\u00ebrqafoi xhaxhain e tij me lot dhe b\u00ebrtiti me t\u00eb madhe se edhe ai \u00ebsht\u00eb i krishter\u00eb. Ushtar\u00ebt e kap\u00ebn menj\u00ebher\u00eb t\u00eb riun dhe e fut\u00ebn n\u00eb burg. Pastaj e \u00e7uan Proklin n\u00eb vendin e ekzekutimit dhe filluan ta gjuanin me shigjeta nga t\u00eb gjitha an\u00ebt. D\u00ebshmori, i shpuar nga shigjetat, e dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin e tij trim n\u00eb duart e Zotit n\u00eb dit\u00ebn e dymb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb t\u00eb muajit korrik.
