N\u00eb nj\u00eb sh\u00ebtitje t\u00eb rast\u00ebsishme n\u00eb m\u00ebngjes, Astion i ri dhe i shk\u00eblqyer takoi hieromonkun Epiktet dhe jeta e tij ndryshoi p\u00ebrgjithmon\u00eb brenda pak or\u00ebsh bisede. Plot shtat\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb vjet m\u00eb von\u00eb, nj\u00eb prift i vjet\u00ebr dhe nj\u00eb murg i ri do t’i pritej koka s\u00eb bashku, n\u00eb Almirida Romake n\u00eb Danub. Mbi nj\u00eb mij\u00eb shpirtra besuan n\u00eb Krishtin kur e pan\u00eb at\u00eb mrekulli me syt\u00eb e tyre. Astion nga ana e tij sh\u00ebroi nj\u00eb burr\u00eb q\u00eb i kishte shtypur k\u00ebmb\u00ebt duke r\u00ebn\u00eb nga nj\u00eb nd\u00ebrtes\u00eb. N\u00eb vitin q\u00eb komandanti ushtarak i rajonit, Latronianos, mb\u00ebrriti n\u00eb Almyridas p\u00ebr nj\u00eb inspektim zyrtar, filloi prova martire e shenjtor\u00ebve. Prift\u00ebrinjt\u00eb pagan\u00eb nxituan menj\u00ebher\u00eb t’i ankohen zyrtarit kund\u00ebr Epiktetit dhe Astionit me zem\u00ebrim t\u00eb madh. Ata i akuzuan dy burrat nga Bitinia p\u00ebr konvertimin e njer\u00ebzve n\u00eb krishterim me arte magjike dhe mjete mashtruese. Ata gjithashtu shtuan se i bind\u00ebn besimtar\u00ebt q\u00eb t\u00eb mos ofronin m\u00eb flijime p\u00ebr per\u00ebndit\u00eb e perandoris\u00eb. Shenjtor\u00ebt u arrestuan menj\u00ebher\u00eb dhe u mor\u00ebn n\u00eb pyetje nga vet\u00eb Latronianus n\u00eb pretorium. K\u00ebshtu ata mor\u00ebn kuror\u00ebn e martirizimit n\u00eb dit\u00ebn e tet\u00eb t\u00eb muajit korrik, at\u00eb vit t\u00eb sprov\u00ebs s\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00eb. N\u00eb fillim eshtrat e tyre t\u00eb ndershme u varros\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb vend t\u00eb panjohur, larg syve t\u00eb pagan\u00ebve. M\u00eb von\u00eb, kur Kisha fitoi lirin\u00eb, ata u transferuan n\u00eb bazilik\u00ebn e nd\u00ebrtuar nga Kostandini i Madh n\u00eb Almirida n\u00eb shekullin e kat\u00ebrt.
