Ky zbulim konfirmoi n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb trondit\u00ebse nj\u00eb tekst t\u00eb vjet\u00ebr p\u00ebr nj\u00eb martir t\u00eb ri nga Selaniku. B\u00ebhet fjal\u00eb p\u00ebr Sh\u00ebn Kirilin, kujtimin e t\u00eb cilit Kisha e nderon n\u00eb dat\u00ebn gjasht\u00eb korrik t\u00eb \u00e7do viti. I vetmi burim q\u00eb ruan jet\u00ebn dhe brezin e tij \u00ebsht\u00eb nj\u00eb dor\u00ebshkrim athonian i manastirit Dionisi. Teksti \u00ebsht\u00eb shkruar me fjal\u00eb dhe daton nga fundi i shekullit t\u00eb shtat\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb deri n\u00eb fillim t\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb tet\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb. Ky i ri lindi n\u00eb Selanik n\u00eb vitin 1544, gjat\u00eb sundimit t\u00eb Sulltan Sulejmanit dhe kishte emrin laik Qirjaku. Babai i tij quhej Peios dhe vinte nga krahina e Pellagonis\u00eb, nd\u00ebrsa familja banonte pran\u00eb kalas\u00eb s\u00eb qytetit. N\u00eb mosh\u00ebn dhjet\u00eb vje\u00e7are, Qirjaku i vog\u00ebl humbi prind\u00ebrit dhe mbeti i vet\u00ebm n\u00eb rrethana t\u00eb v\u00ebshtira. M\u00eb pas kujdestarin\u00eb e tij e mor\u00ebn dy xhaxhallar\u00ebt e tij nga n\u00ebna, nj\u00ebri prej t\u00eb cil\u00ebve ishte mysliman. P\u00ebrfundimisht xhaxhai muhamedan e mori Qirjakuin e vog\u00ebl ekskluzivisht n\u00ebn mbrojtjen e tij dhe p\u00ebrcaktoi rrjedh\u00ebn e jet\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. K\u00ebshtu ai e d\u00ebrgoi at\u00eb te nj\u00eb l\u00ebkur\u00eb l\u00ebkur\u00ebsh muhamedan, q\u00eb t\u00eb mund t\u00eb b\u00ebhej nx\u00ebn\u00ebs tek ai dhe t\u00eb ushtronte at\u00eb zanat. Por xhaxhai tjet\u00ebr i tij, i krishteri i devotsh\u00ebm, i fliste fshehurazi p\u00ebr Krishtin dhe i jepte k\u00ebshilla shpirt\u00ebrore. Pas nxitjes s\u00eb tij, i riu Qirjaku vendosi t\u00eb linte kujdestarin e tij muhamedan dhe t\u00eb ikte larg Selanikut. Ai u takua me disa murgj shenjtor\u00eb q\u00eb ndodheshin ato dit\u00eb n\u00eb qytet dhe u nis me ta fshehurazi p\u00ebr n\u00eb malin Athos. N\u00eb mosh\u00ebn kat\u00ebrmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb vje\u00e7 ai mb\u00ebrriti n\u00eb manastirin e Helandariou dhe u b\u00eb murg, duke marr\u00eb emrin Kirili. Megjithat\u00eb, p\u00ebr shkak se ishte i ri dhe nuk e lejuan t\u00eb q\u00ebndronte brenda n\u00eb Manastir, ai u d\u00ebrgua n\u00eb nj\u00eb pjes\u00eb t\u00eb Helandarios. Atje ai asketoi me zell p\u00ebr tet\u00eb vjet t\u00eb t\u00ebra, duke kultivuar lutjen, bindjen dhe gjendjen e vetmuar. N\u00eb mosh\u00ebn nj\u00ebzet e dy vje\u00e7are ai udh\u00ebtoi p\u00ebrs\u00ebri p\u00ebr n\u00eb Selanik, i shoq\u00ebruar nga dy murgj t\u00eb tjer\u00eb t\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtit manastir, p\u00ebr disa pun\u00eb. Me t\u00eb mb\u00ebrritur n\u00eb qytet, Kirili takoi xhaxhain e tij t\u00eb krishter\u00eb dhe e gjeti veten p\u00ebrs\u00ebri n\u00eb vendet e preferuara t\u00eb f\u00ebmij\u00ebris\u00eb s\u00eb tij. Teksa zbriste nga zona e kalas\u00eb drejt portit, i shoq\u00ebruar nga kush\u00ebriri i tij, ndodhi di\u00e7ka e papritur. N\u00eb rrug\u00eb ai u pa rast\u00ebsisht nga kujdestari i tij i vjet\u00ebr muhamedan, i cili, megjith\u00eb kalimin e shum\u00eb viteve, e njohu menj\u00ebher\u00eb nga tiparet e tij. Ai m\u00eb pas thirri musliman\u00ebt e tjer\u00eb dhe ata e arrestuan n\u00eb vend, me akuz\u00ebn e mohimit t\u00eb Muhamedanizmit dhe shkish\u00ebrimit. Kirili u d\u00ebrgua pa vones\u00eb te gjyqtari turk i Selanikut, i cili donte ta bindte t\u00eb kthehej. Me fjal\u00eb dhe premtime t\u00eb \u00ebmbla u p\u00ebrpoq ta kthente n\u00eb fen\u00eb muhamedane, por murgu i ri q\u00ebndroi i pal\u00ebkundur. Kur pa se argumentet e tij nuk ishin t\u00eb dobishme, gjykat\u00ebsi urdh\u00ebroi q\u00eb t\u00eb mbahej n\u00eb burg deri t\u00eb nes\u00ebrmen. Ai synonte t\u00eb jepte vendimin p\u00ebrfundimtar pas marrjes n\u00eb pyetje t\u00eb m\u00ebtejshme, duke shpresuar se frika e nat\u00ebs do ta p\u00ebrkulte. Por martiri e kaloi nat\u00ebn n\u00eb lutje, duke marr\u00eb forc\u00eb nga Krishti p\u00ebr at\u00eb q\u00eb e priste. T\u00eb nes\u00ebrmen Cirili u soll p\u00ebr her\u00eb t\u00eb dyt\u00eb para gjyqtarit, i cili vazhdoi ta shtypte n\u00eb \u00e7do m\u00ebnyr\u00eb. Her\u00eb i premtonte ndere dhe pasuri dhe her\u00eb e k\u00ebrc\u00ebnonte me tortura mizore dhe vdekje t\u00eb tmerrshme. Por kur e kuptoi se p\u00ebrpjekja e tij ishte krejt\u00ebsisht e kot\u00eb, ai mori vendimin dhe e d\u00ebnoi me vdekje me zjarr. Cirili u drejtua nga nj\u00eb turm\u00eb e t\u00ebrbuar mysliman\u00ebsh fanatik\u00eb dhe nga xhelat\u00ebt n\u00eb vendin e ekzekutimit. Ky vend ndodhej n\u00eb hipodromin e vjet\u00ebr bizantin t\u00eb qytetit, pran\u00eb tempullit t\u00eb Shenjtor\u00ebve Konstandinit dhe Helen\u00ebs. Para se t\u00eb ndizej zjarri, guvernatori turk u p\u00ebrpoq p\u00ebr her\u00eb t\u00eb fundit t\u00eb bindte murgun e ri, si\u00e7 b\u00ebnin at\u00ebher\u00eb. Ai i ofroi rehati materiale, zyra dhe k\u00ebnaq\u00ebsi, n\u00ebse do t\u00eb pranonte t\u00eb hiqte dor\u00eb nga besimi i tij dhe t\u00eb kthehej n\u00eb Muhamedaniz\u00ebm. Por Cirili u p\u00ebrgjigj me guxim se e vetmja pasuri dhe ngush\u00ebllimi i tij ishte Krishti. M\u00eb pas prefekti urdh\u00ebroi xhelat\u00ebt q\u00eb ta hidhnin menj\u00ebher\u00eb n\u00eb pir\u00eb, e cila dogji trupin e t\u00eb riut martir. Kjo ngjarje ka ndodhur m\u00eb 6 korrik 1566, n\u00eb zem\u00ebr t\u00eb Selanikut. Ve\u00e7an\u00ebrisht prek\u00ebse \u00ebsht\u00eb informacioni i fundit q\u00eb na jep sinaxario p\u00ebr at\u00eb q\u00eb pasoi pas vdekjes s\u00eb Cirilit. S\u00eb bashku me trupin e d\u00ebshmorit, musliman\u00ebt hodh\u00ebn n\u00eb zjarr edhe eshtra qensh t\u00eb ngordhur dhe kafsh\u00eb t\u00eb vdekshme. K\u00ebshtu relikti i shenjt\u00eb u p\u00ebrzie me kockat e kafsh\u00ebve dhe u shnd\u00ebrrua n\u00eb hi, n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb q\u00eb t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt t\u00eb mos mund ta nderonin. Kjo d\u00ebshmi e dor\u00ebshkrimit dukej e \u00e7uditshme n\u00eb fillim dhe v\u00ebshtir\u00eb se mund t\u00eb verifikohej me siguri. Por konfirmimi i saj erdhi p\u00ebr mrekulli pas shum\u00eb shekujsh, n\u00eb nj\u00eb epok\u00eb krejt tjet\u00ebr. N\u00eb vitin 1972, pas shembjes s\u00eb tempullit t\u00eb vjet\u00ebr t\u00eb Shenjtors Kostandinit dhe Helen\u00ebs, n\u00eb sheshin e Hipodromit, n\u00eb themelet e tij u gjet nj\u00eb urn\u00eb balte. Brenda saj kishte mbetje kockash dhe rrobash t\u00eb p\u00ebrziera me hi, ashtu si\u00e7 e p\u00ebrshkruante sinaksari i vjet\u00ebr.
