Nj\u00eb engj\u00ebll i Zotit zbriti n\u00eb burgun e err\u00ebt t\u00eb Aleksandris\u00eb dhe sh\u00ebroi plag\u00ebt e thella t\u00eb dhjet\u00eb martir\u00ebve q\u00eb sapo kishin shp\u00ebtuar nga torturat. Disa dit\u00eb m\u00eb von\u00eb, t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtit njer\u00ebz do t\u00eb vdisnin nga uria dhe etja, duke k\u00ebnduar me g\u00ebzim emrin e Jezu Krishtit. Historia e tyre i p\u00ebrket viteve t\u00eb perandorit Maximian, kur persekutimi kund\u00ebr t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve u ndez n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb Egjiptin me nj\u00eb mizori t\u00eb ve\u00e7ant\u00eb. Shenjtor\u00ebt Markianus, Nikandri, Hyperechius, Apollonius, Leonidas, Areius, Gorgios dhe Pambo, s\u00eb bashku me trimat Selenia dhe Irene, erdh\u00ebn nga toka egjiptiane. T\u00eb gjith\u00eb s\u00eb bashku ishin nj\u00eb grup t\u00eb krishter\u00ebsh q\u00eb dinin jo vet\u00ebm t\u00eb besonin n\u00eb Krishtin, por edhe t\u00eb vuanin p\u00ebr hir t\u00eb tij me vullnet dhe g\u00ebzim n\u00eb zemrat e tyre. Kur u denoncuan te prefekti pagan i Aleksandris\u00eb, ata q\u00ebndruan para tij pa asnj\u00eb frik\u00eb. Ata e deklaruan me guxim besimin e tyre, duke refuzuar t\u00eb adhuronin idhujt dhe t\u00eb mohonin Per\u00ebndin\u00eb e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb. Prefekti u p\u00ebrpoq n\u00eb \u00e7do m\u00ebnyr\u00eb t’i p\u00ebrkulte, duke p\u00ebrdorur premtime, lajka dhe k\u00ebrc\u00ebnime t\u00eb tmerrshme p\u00ebr t’i p\u00ebrkulur. Prefekti kishte nj\u00eb shpres\u00eb t\u00eb ve\u00e7ant\u00eb se do t\u00eb arrinte t\u00eb frik\u00ebsonte t\u00eb pakt\u00ebn dy femrat e grupit, Selenia dhe Irini. Ai mendonte se natyra fem\u00ebrore do t’i n\u00ebnshtrohej m\u00eb leht\u00eb k\u00ebrc\u00ebnimeve dhe do t\u00eb pranonte t\u00eb flijonte p\u00ebr idhujt e pajet\u00eb. Por premtimet dhe premtimet u thyen para besimit t\u00eb pal\u00ebkundur t\u00eb dy martir\u00ebve trima t\u00eb Krishtit. K\u00ebshtu prefekti u m\u00ebsua shpejt se kryqi i Zotit mund t’i nxjerr\u00eb grat\u00eb m\u00eb t\u00eb guximshme se burrat m\u00eb mizor\u00eb.
