Ai i shkroi Timotheut III, patriarkut t\u00eb Aleksandris\u00eb, duke i k\u00ebrkuar q\u00eb t\u00eb d\u00ebrgonte nj\u00eb njeri besimtar, me frik\u00eb Per\u00ebndie, t\u00eb mbushur me zell apostolik, si episkop p\u00ebr Kish\u00ebn e Himiarit, e cila ishte e dob\u00ebt dhe e \u00e7organizuar pas persekutimit judeas.<\/p>\n<p>Duke mos pasur mund\u00ebsi t\u00eb gjente nj\u00eb kandidat, patriarku nisi t\u00eb lutej. N\u00eb mbarim t\u00eb nat\u00ebs, ungjillori i shenjt\u00eb Mark, themeluesi dhe mbrojt\u00ebsi i mitropolis\u00eb s\u00eb Afrik\u00ebs, iu shfaq atij dhe i tregoi zgjedhjen e Per\u00ebndis\u00eb, q\u00eb ishte i riu italian Grigjenti, i cili ndodhej n\u00eb Aleksandri n\u00eb ato dit\u00eb me nj\u00eb mikun e tij t\u00eb krishter\u00eb. Shum\u00eb i g\u00ebzuar, patriarku d\u00ebrgoi t\u00eb gjenin Grigjentin, e informoi p\u00ebr zgjedhjen e Per\u00ebndis\u00eb dhe, pasi kaloi disa dit\u00eb me t\u00eb n\u00eb nj\u00eb bised\u00eb t\u00eb ngroht\u00eb at\u00ebrore, e ngriti n\u00eb rangun e episkopit dhe e d\u00ebrgoi me nj\u00eb shpur\u00eb t\u00eb mjaftueshme n\u00eb mbret\u00ebrin\u00eb e Himyarit. Bariu i ri u fron\u00ebzua episkop i Safarit n\u00eb mes t\u00eb g\u00ebzimit t\u00eb madh t\u00eb banor\u00ebve. Asgj\u00eb nuk dukej se ishte e mjaftueshme p\u00ebr t\u00eb hedhur posht\u00eb kok\u00ebfort\u00ebsin\u00eb e kund\u00ebrshtarit t\u00eb tij, i cili, pasi i shteroi t\u00eb gjitha argumentet e tij, tha me z\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb: \u201cP\u00ebrse duhet t\u00eb harxhojm\u00eb m\u00eb tep\u00ebr koh\u00eb me argumente q\u00eb nuk na vlejn\u00eb? N\u00ebse Jisui, q\u00eb u kryq\u00ebzua prej st\u00ebret\u00ebrve tan\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb, si ti thua, i gjall\u00eb dhe p\u00ebr m\u00eb tep\u00ebr Biri i Per\u00ebndis\u00eb, le ta shikoj At\u00eb dhe do t\u00eb besoj tek Ai!\u201d. Pastaj dheu u l\u00ebkund, qielli u hap dhe Krishti u shfaq Vet\u00eb n\u00eb t\u00ebr\u00eb lavdin\u00eb, q\u00eb ka p\u00ebr ta shoq\u00ebruar n\u00eb Ardhjen e Dyt\u00eb, duke i rr\u00ebzuar p\u00ebrtok\u00eb dhe duke i verbuar jobesimtar\u00ebt por, n\u00eb an\u00ebn tjet\u00ebr duke i mbushur me drit\u00eb dhe g\u00ebzim t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt, si nj\u00eb parashijim i t\u00eb mirave t\u00eb jet\u00ebs s\u00eb p\u00ebrjetshme.<br \/>\nShenjtori u shpjegoi hebrenjve t\u00eb tmerruar se ata u verbuan p\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb pabesis\u00eb s\u00eb tyre dhe se do t\u00eb binin n\u00eb err\u00ebsir\u00ebn e p\u00ebrjetshme n\u00eb Dit\u00ebn e Gjyqit, n\u00ebse nuk pendoheshin dhe nuk besonin te Shp\u00ebtimtari. Nj\u00eb prej tyre vendosi t\u00eb pranonte Pag\u00ebzimin e shenjt\u00eb dhe doli prej banj\u00ebs s\u00eb rilindjes plot g\u00ebzim, duke rigjetur p\u00ebrs\u00ebri drit\u00ebn e syve trupor\u00eb, pasi u ndri\u00e7ua me drit\u00ebn shpirt\u00ebrore. Ai u ndoq nga m\u00eb shum\u00eb se 5.000 hebrenj dhe nga vet\u00eb Hebrani, i cili, ngaq\u00eb shfaqi nj\u00eb pendim shembullor, mori emrin e Leonit dhe u b\u00eb nj\u00eb prej k\u00ebshilltar\u00ebve m\u00eb t\u00eb af\u00ebrt t\u00eb mbretit.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00eb vazhdim, sh\u00ebn Grigjenti hartoi nj\u00eb kod ligjesh q\u00eb rregullonte sjelljen dhe zakonet e t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve. Kishat u shum\u00ebfishuan dhe mbreti, n\u00ebn drejtimin e tij shpirt\u00ebror, hapi spitale t\u00eb shumta dhe fondacione bamir\u00ebsie. Pas vdekjes s\u00eb mbretit, biri i tij, Erdidos, vazhdoi me devotshm\u00ebri t\u00eb madhe vepr\u00ebn e nd\u00ebrmarr\u00eb nga i ati.<\/p>\n<p>Pasi i mbushi t\u00eb gjith\u00eb me mrekulli dhe hire shpirt\u00ebrore gjat\u00eb viteve t\u00eb shumta t\u00eb episkopat\u00ebs s\u00eb tij, Grigjenti, ky apostull i ri, fjeti n\u00eb Zotin me nj\u00eb vdekje t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb m\u00eb 19 n\u00ebntor 552 dhe u vajtua nga i gjith\u00eb populli i mbledhur n\u00eb funeralin e tij. Kisha e Mbret\u00ebris\u00eb s\u00eb Arabis\u00eb s\u00eb Re vazhdoi ekzistenc\u00ebn e saj n\u00eb paqe, derisa u zhduk p\u00ebrfundimisht nga batica myslimane (rreth vitit
