Ajo ishte vajza e nj\u00eb pagani t\u00eb pasur q\u00eb quhej Theokli. Thekla u fejua n\u00eb mosh\u00ebn 18-vje\u00e7are me nj\u00eb burr\u00eb t\u00eb quajtur Thamiris, i cili e donte tej mase. Ishte koha kur sh\u00ebn Pavli erdhi nga Antiokia, q\u00ebndroi n\u00eb Ikonium, n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e Onesiforit, nj\u00eb fqinj i Thekl\u00ebs dhe u m\u00ebsonte aty fjal\u00ebn e Per\u00ebndis\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>T\u00eb gjith\u00eb atyre q\u00eb e d\u00ebgjonin me g\u00ebzim t\u00eb madh, ai u thoshte: \u201cT\u00eb bekuar jan\u00eb t\u00eb pastrit n\u00eb zem\u00ebr, sepse ata do t\u00eb shikojn\u00eb Per\u00ebndin\u00eb. T\u00eb bekuar jan\u00eb ata q\u00eb ruajn\u00eb past\u00ebrtin\u00eb e mishit t\u00eb tyre, sepse ata do t\u00eb jen\u00eb tempulli i Per\u00ebndis\u00eb. T\u00eb bekuar jan\u00eb ata q\u00eb kan\u00eb hequr dor\u00eb nga kjo bot\u00eb, sepse ata do t\u00eb pranohen nga Per\u00ebndia. T\u00eb bekuar jan\u00eb ata q\u00eb e kan\u00eb frik\u00eb fjal\u00ebn e Per\u00ebndis\u00eb, se ata do t\u00eb ngush\u00ebllohen. T\u00eb bekuar jan\u00eb ata q\u00eb p\u00ebrqafojn\u00eb urt\u00ebsin\u00eb e Jisu Krishtit, se ata do t\u00eb quhen bijt\u00eb e t\u00eb Shum\u00eblartit. T\u00eb bekuar jan\u00eb ata q\u00eb kan\u00eb ruajtur pag\u00ebzimin e tyre, se ata do t\u00eb gjejn\u00eb prehje me Atin dhe Birin. T\u00eb bekuar jan\u00eb ata q\u00eb kan\u00eb kuptuar njohjen e Jisu Krishtit, se ata do t\u00eb jen\u00eb n\u00eb drit\u00eb. T\u00eb bekuar jan\u00eb ata q\u00eb kan\u00eb hedhur tej dukjet e jashtme t\u00eb k\u00ebsaj bote p\u00ebr hir t\u00eb dashuris\u00eb s\u00eb Per\u00ebndis\u00eb, se ata do t\u2019i gjykojn\u00eb engj\u00ebjt dhe do t\u00eb lavd\u00ebrohen n\u00eb t\u00eb djatht\u00eb t\u00eb Atit. T\u00eb bekuar jan\u00eb trupat e t\u00eb virgj\u00ebrve, se fjala e Atit do t\u2019i justifikoj\u00eb ata n\u00eb dit\u00ebn e Birit t\u00eb Tij dhe do t\u00eb g\u00ebzojn\u00eb prehje t\u00eb p\u00ebrjetshme\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Kur d\u00ebgjoi fjal\u00ebt hyjnore t\u00eb Pavlit, pas nj\u00eb perdeje, ku kishte q\u00ebndruar e fshehur p\u00ebr tri dit\u00eb me radh\u00eb, Thekla, duke ndjer\u00eb g\u00ebzim t\u00eb jasht\u00ebzakonsh\u00ebm, u t\u00ebrhoq pa kthim drejt besimit. Kur pan\u00eb se ajo nuk mendonte m\u00eb asgj\u00eb tok\u00ebsore dhe ishte dh\u00ebn\u00eb me shpirt pas fjal\u00ebve t\u00eb atij t\u00eb huaji q\u00eb k\u00ebshillonte shenjt\u00ebrimin e martes\u00ebs, Theokli dhe Thamirisi u shqet\u00ebsuan tej mase. I t\u00ebr\u00eb qyteti ndodhej n\u00eb turbullim t\u00eb madh, prandaj edhe Pavlin e arrestuan dhe e \u00e7uan te guvernatori, i cili urdh\u00ebroi ta lidhnin me zinxhir\u00eb dhe ta fusnin n\u00eb burg. At\u00eb nat\u00eb Thekla doli p\u00ebr ta k\u00ebrkuar sh\u00ebn Pavlin dhe kur m\u00ebsoi se ndodhej n\u00eb burg, i shkoi atje, ia fali gardianit byzylyk\u00ebt e saj t\u00eb art\u00eb dhe q\u00ebndroi n\u00eb k\u00ebmb\u00ebt e Pavlit, duke puthur zinxhir\u00ebt e tij, nd\u00ebrsa ai i fliste asaj p\u00ebr veprat e fuqishme t\u00eb Per\u00ebndis\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Kur Thekl\u00ebn e gjet\u00ebn n\u00eb shoq\u00ebrin\u00eb e Pavlit, t\u00eb dy i \u00e7uan p\u00ebrpara guvernatorit. Meq\u00eb ajo nuk u p\u00ebrgjigjej pyetjeve t\u00eb tij, n\u00ebna e Thekl\u00ebs thirri me t\u00eb madhe: \u201cDigjeni k\u00ebt\u00eb armike t\u00eb martes\u00ebs n\u00eb mes t\u00eb amfiteatrit si nj\u00eb shembull p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjitha grat\u00eb\u201d. P\u00ebr ta k\u00ebnaqur turm\u00ebn, guvernatori e rrahu Pavlin me kamxhik dhe e \u00e7oi jasht\u00eb qytetit, kurse Thekl\u00ebn e d\u00ebnoi t\u00eb digjej e gjall\u00eb. E \u00e7uan t\u00eb zhveshur n\u00eb vendin e ekzekutimit, nd\u00ebrsa djem dhe vajza t\u00eb reja mblodh\u00ebn dru p\u00ebr zjarrin. At\u00ebher\u00eb, Thekla pa Shp\u00ebtimtarin t\u2019i shfaqej me pamjen e Pavlit, dhe u mbush me fuqin\u00eb e Tij hyjnore. Duke e armatosur veten me shenj\u00ebn e Kryqit, ajo u ngjit sip\u00ebr turr\u00ebs s\u00eb druve. Flak\u00ebt u lart\u00ebsuan, por at\u00eb nuk e prek\u00ebn. I prekur nga dashuria e shenjtores, Per\u00ebndia d\u00ebrgoi shi qiellor p\u00ebr t\u2019i qet\u00ebsuar flak\u00ebt, duke e mbushur amfiteatrin me uj\u00eb. Thekla u soll nga Per\u00ebndia pran\u00eb tij atje dhe t\u00eb dy u larguan p\u00ebr n\u00eb Antioki.<\/p>\n<p>Kur ata hyn\u00eb n\u00eb qytet, Aleksandri nj\u00eb nga fisnik\u00ebt e qytetit, i mahnitur nga bukuria e Thekl\u00ebs, rendi ta puth\u00eb n\u00eb mes t\u00eb rrug\u00ebs. Por ajo e mbrojti veten e saj me forc\u00eb, duke i grisur mantelin dhe duke i prishur kuror\u00ebn. P\u00ebr t\u2019u hakmarr\u00eb nga ky veprim, Aleksandri e dor\u00ebzoi te guvernatori i qytetit. Kur i vun\u00eb nj\u00eb kazan t\u00eb mbushur me uj\u00eb dhe gjarp\u00ebrinj t\u00eb rreziksh\u00ebm, duke qen\u00eb e gatshme p\u00ebr nj\u00eb mundim t\u00eb ri, shenjtorja thirri: \u201cTani \u00ebsht\u00eb koha p\u00ebr t\u00eb marr\u00eb banj\u00ebn e rilindjes\u201d. Dhe, pasi u hodh n\u00eb uj\u00eb, thirri: \u201cN\u00eb em\u00ebr t\u00eb Jisu Krishtit, po e pag\u00ebzoj veten time n\u00eb dit\u00ebn time t\u00eb fundit\u201d. Disa hodh\u00ebn barishte dhe t\u00eb tjera nard, kasi dhe kanell\u00eb, duke e mbushur amfiteatrin me parfum, k\u00ebshtu q\u00eb kafsh\u00ebt u trullos\u00ebn dhe nuk i b\u00ebn\u00eb gj\u00eb shenjtores. Pastaj Thekl\u00ebn e lidh\u00ebn n\u00eb brir\u00ebt e dy buajve, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt i t\u00ebrbuan me hekura t\u00eb nxeht\u00eb. Por nj\u00eb zjarr ra nga qielli dhe i dogji litar\u00ebt q\u00eb e mbanin t\u00eb lidhur pas buajve, k\u00ebshtu q\u00eb shenjtorja nuk u d\u00ebmtua nga t\u00ebrbimi i tyre. Duke par\u00eb se t\u00ebr\u00eb lig\u00ebsit\u00eb e tyre nuk soll\u00ebn asnj\u00eb d\u00ebm te sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtorja e Per\u00ebndis\u00eb, guvernatori dhe Aleksandri e lan\u00eb t\u00eb lir\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>P\u00ebr disa dit\u00eb, Thekla q\u00ebndroi n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e Trifen\u00ebs, nj\u00eb zonj\u00eb e pasur e qytetit, q\u00eb e kishte pranuar at\u00eb si bij\u00ebn e saj qysh nga fillimi i mundimeve. Por Thekla mendonte t\u00eb gjente Pavlin p\u00ebrs\u00ebri dhe k\u00ebshtu shkoi n\u00eb Mir\u00eb. Bashk\u00eb me sh\u00ebn Pavlin ajo u kthye n\u00eb Ikonium p\u00ebr t\u00eb shpallur veprat e Per\u00ebndis\u00eb. Aty gjeti Thamirisin t\u00eb vdekur dhe n\u00ebn\u00ebn e saj t\u00eb shurdh\u00ebt p\u00ebr lajmin e mir\u00eb t\u00eb shp\u00ebtimit, dhe p\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb arsye u largua p\u00ebr n\u00eb Seleuci. Atje jetoi 72 vjet n\u00eb asketiz\u00ebm n\u00eb Malin Kalamon, jo larg qytetit, duke b\u00ebr\u00eb nj\u00eb luft\u00eb t\u00eb eg\u00ebr kund\u00ebr demon\u00ebve. Ajo u b\u00eb e famshme p\u00ebr mrekullit\u00eb q\u00eb kryente.
