Kuraja dhe aft\u00ebsia oratorike t\u00ebrhoq\u00ebn v\u00ebmendjen e perandorit Licinius (rreth 320), i cili e caktoi kapiten t\u00eb p\u00ebrgjithsh\u00ebm dhe guvernator t\u00eb qytetit t\u00eb Herakleas n\u00eb Pont. Kur mori detyr\u00ebn, Theodhori ua b\u00ebri t\u00eb ditur t\u00eb gjith\u00ebve se ishte i krishter\u00eb dhe nj\u00eb pjes\u00eb e madhe e qytetit u konvertua n\u00eb besimin e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb p\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb fjal\u00ebve t\u00eb tij shum\u00eb t\u00eb frym\u00ebzuara. Thuhet se ai e siguroi v\u00ebrtet\u00ebsin\u00eb e besimit t\u00eb krishter\u00eb q\u00eb predikonte duke vrar\u00eb nj\u00eb dragua, q\u00eb terrorizonte banor\u00ebt e zon\u00ebs. I informuar p\u00ebr k\u00ebto ngjarje q\u00eb kishin lidhje me t\u00eb zgjedhurin e tij, perandori e thirri Theodhorin. Por ai u p\u00ebrgjigj duke e ftuar Liciniusin q\u00eb t\u00eb vinte n\u00eb Heraklea, me idhujt e tij t\u00eb art\u00eb e t\u00eb argjendt\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Theodhori i b\u00ebri nj\u00eb pritje madh\u00ebshtore perandorit, i inkurajuar nga nj\u00eb vizion, ku i b\u00ebhej e ditur se tani ishte koha p\u00ebr t\u00eb d\u00ebshmuar Krishtin duke derdhur gjakun. Licinusi lavd\u00ebroi rregullin e madh q\u00eb ekzistonte n\u00eb qytet dhe i tha guvernatorit t\u00eb shfaqte nderimin e tij ndaj per\u00ebndive t\u00eb tij, duke i ofruar atyre nj\u00eb sakrific\u00eb. Theodhori i k\u00ebrkoi dhe i mori idhujt e art\u00eb n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e tij, q\u00eb t\u2019i b\u00ebnte gati p\u00ebr sakrific\u00ebn publike t\u00eb s\u00eb nes\u00ebrmes. E kaloi nat\u00ebn duke i cop\u00ebtuar dhe n\u00eb m\u00ebngjes ua shp\u00ebrndau arin t\u00eb varf\u00ebrve. Kur erdhi ora e caktuar p\u00ebr sakrific\u00ebn, nj\u00eb centurion shkoi i shqet\u00ebsuar te perandori dhe i b\u00ebri t\u00eb ditur se kishin gjetur nj\u00eb endacak q\u00eb kishte kok\u00ebn e art\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00eb statuje t\u00eb hyjnesh\u00ebs Artemida.<\/p>\n<p>Perandori, q\u00eb nuk mblidhte dot veten, urdh\u00ebroi t\u2019ia sillnin aty Theodhorin dhe ta rrihnin me kamxhik t\u00eb b\u00ebr\u00eb me deje demi 700 her\u00eb n\u00eb kurriz dhe 50 her\u00eb n\u00eb stomak dhe pastaj ta godisnin n\u00eb zverk me nj\u00eb kamxhik l\u00ebkure me zara plumbi. Pastaj i rrop\u00ebn l\u00ebkur\u00ebn dhe, pasi i vun\u00eb pishtar\u00eb t\u00eb ndezur n\u00eb plag\u00eb ia rrop\u00ebn mishin me copa tullash. Gjat\u00eb k\u00ebtyre torturave shenjtori thoshte vet\u00ebm: \u201cLavdi m\u00eb Ty, o Per\u00ebndi!\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>E fut\u00ebn p\u00ebrs\u00ebri n\u00eb burg dhe e lan\u00eb 7 dit\u00eb pa ngr\u00ebn\u00eb, m\u00eb pas e mb\u00ebrthyen mbi nj\u00eb kryq jasht\u00eb qytetit. Ushtar\u00ebt e pam\u00ebshirsh\u00ebm i fut\u00ebn n\u00eb bark nj\u00eb shuf\u00ebr hekuri q\u00eb i \u00e7au zorr\u00ebt dhe f\u00ebmij\u00ebt zbaviteshin duke e gjuajtur me shigjeta e, n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb, i nxor\u00ebn edhe syt\u00eb. I duruar gjat\u00eb torturave dhe zem\u00ebrgjer\u00eb me xhelat\u00ebt, sipas shembullit t\u00eb Zotit dhe Per\u00ebndis\u00eb Jisu, Theodhori q\u00ebndroi i pal\u00ebkundur n\u00eb lutjen e tij dhe e inkurajoi sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtorin e tij, Varusin, q\u00eb t\u00eb linte edhe me shkrim detajet e martirizimit t\u00eb tij.<\/p>\n<p>E lan\u00eb t\u00eb varur n\u00eb kryq gjat\u00eb gjith\u00eb nat\u00ebs, derisa nj\u00eb engj\u00ebll i Per\u00ebndis\u00eb erdhi p\u00ebr ta zgjidhur, e sh\u00ebroi nga t\u00eb gjitha plag\u00ebt dhe e inkurajoi t\u00eb q\u00ebndronte i pal\u00ebkundur deri n\u00eb fund t\u00eb betej\u00ebs s\u00eb tij. N\u00eb m\u00ebngjes, kur ushtar\u00ebt mb\u00ebrrit\u00ebn atje, shkuan te kryqi p\u00ebr ta zgjidhur kufom\u00ebn, por, kur e pan\u00eb krejt\u00ebsisht t\u00eb sh\u00ebruar, u konvertuan n\u00eb t\u00eb krishter\u00eb, duke t\u00ebrhequr me vete edhe pjes\u00ebn tjet\u00ebr t\u00eb kohort\u00ebs, ashtu si edhe ushtar\u00ebt e tjer\u00eb q\u00eb erdh\u00ebn p\u00ebr t\u2019i nd\u00ebshkuar.<\/p>\n<p>Pas gjith\u00eb k\u00ebtyre mrekullive, qyteti u ngrit n\u00eb revolt\u00eb. Licinusi d\u00ebrgoi ushtar\u00eb t\u00eb tjer\u00eb p\u00ebr ta ekzekutuar pa humbur koh\u00eb Theodhorin, si shkakun e gjith\u00eb k\u00ebtyre rr\u00ebmujave. Disa t\u00eb krishter\u00eb donin ta pengonin k\u00ebt\u00eb gj\u00eb, por shenjtori, duke e ndier se kishte ardhur ora p\u00ebr t\u2019u bashkuar me Krishtin, i ndaloi dhe shkoi i g\u00ebzuar para xhelat\u00ebve. Pasi u armatos me shenj\u00ebn e Kryqit jet\u00ebdh\u00ebn\u00ebs, uli kok\u00ebn dhe mori me nj\u00eb goditje t\u00eb shpat\u00ebs kuror\u00ebn e fitores.<\/p>\n<p>Sipas udh\u00ebzimeve t\u00eb shenjtit, t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt e \u00e7uan lipsanin e shenjt\u00eb me nj\u00eb kortezh triumfal n\u00eb sht\u00ebpin\u00eb e tij at\u00ebrore, n\u00eb Efkaita.
