Ruante vigjilenc\u00eb konstante, dit\u00eb e nat\u00eb, para Per\u00ebndis\u00eb. P\u00ebrparoi shum\u00eb dhe u hirotonis prift. Pas nj\u00eb ndalese n\u00eb Konstandinopoj\u00eb, ku u burgos dhe vuajti me shum\u00eb t\u00eb tjer\u00eb keqtrajtimet e persekutor\u00ebve, u kthye n\u00eb atdhe, por nuk mundi t\u2019i mblidhte murgjit e shp\u00ebrndar\u00eb dhe t\u00eb merrte drejtimin e manastirit t\u00eb tij, deri pas triumfit t\u00eb Orthodhoksis\u00eb (842).<\/p>\n<p>Sh\u00ebn Efstrati ishte shembull i gjall\u00eb i virtyteve murg\u00ebrore. Dit\u00ebn e kalonte me v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit n\u00eb pun\u00ebt e dor\u00ebs, dhe pjes\u00ebn m\u00eb t\u00eb madhe t\u00eb nat\u00ebs, me lutje dhe metani. Gjat\u00eb Sh\u00ebrbes\u00ebs s\u00eb M\u00ebngjesores rrinte m\u00eb k\u00ebmb\u00eb n\u00eb shenjt\u00ebrore dhe, q\u00eb nga fillimi e deri n\u00eb fund, p\u00ebrs\u00ebriste me vete: \u201cM\u00ebshiro, o Zot\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Vizitonte shpesh qelit\u00eb q\u00eb vareshin nga manastiri, p\u00ebr t\u00eb inkurajuar v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit. Nj\u00ebher\u00eb ia dhuroi vi\u00e7in e vet\u00ebm t\u00eb manastirit nj\u00eb fshatari shum\u00eb t\u00eb varf\u00ebr, t\u00eb cilit i kishte humbur bag\u00ebtia. Kur u kthye nga Konstandinopoja, u shp\u00ebrndau t\u00eb varf\u00ebrve t\u00eb atyre an\u00ebve argjendin q\u00eb perandori i dhuroi p\u00ebr t\u00eb mbajtur manastirin.<\/p>\n<p>Nj\u00eb dit\u00eb, ndeshi n\u00eb rrug\u00eb nj\u00eb burr\u00eb, i cili, i d\u00ebshp\u00ebruar p\u00ebr m\u00ebkatet e tij, po b\u00ebhej gati t\u00eb vriste veten. Sh\u00ebn Efstrati ia mori dor\u00ebn, e vuri mbi qaf\u00ebn e tij dhe i tha: \u201cBarra e m\u00ebkateve t\u00eb tua q\u00eb sot e tutje r\u00ebndon mbi mua, biri im. Dit\u00ebn e Gjykimit, un\u00eb do t\u00eb jap llogari p\u00ebr ty. Nd\u00ebrsa ti, hidhe tutje k\u00ebt\u00eb litar dhe shpreso te Per\u00ebndia\u201d.<br \/>\nMe lutjen e tij, sh\u00ebn Efstrati sh\u00ebroi t\u00eb s\u00ebmur\u00eb, ngjalli t\u00eb vdekur, shoi zjarre dhe kreu shum\u00eb mrekulli, duke d\u00ebftuar se, n\u00ebp\u00ebrmjet nd\u00ebrmjetimit t\u00eb tij, Per\u00ebndia ishte i pranish\u00ebm me fuqi mes njer\u00ebzve.<\/p>\n<p>Gjat\u00eb udh\u00ebtimit q\u00eb kreu p\u00ebr her\u00eb t\u00eb fundit n\u00eb Konstandinopoj\u00eb, anija u p\u00ebrplas me shk\u00ebmbinj. besnik\u00ebrin\u00eb e tradit\u00ebs s\u00eb shenjt\u00eb; pastaj, duke ngritur duart dhe syt\u00eb drejt qiellit, dor\u00ebzoi shpirtin te Per\u00ebndia n\u00eb mosh\u00ebn 95-vje\u00e7are, pasi
