\n\tAti yn\u00eb i shenjt\u00eb Marku u dor\u00ebzua episkop i qytetit t\u00eb Arethus\u00ebs n\u00eb Siri, n\u00eb koh\u00ebn e mbret\u00ebrimit t\u00eb sh\u00ebn Konstandinit t\u00eb Madh. I shtyr\u00eb nga zelli hyjnor, shk\u00eblqeu n\u00eb luft\u00ebn kund\u00ebr idhujtaris\u00eb dhe shkat\u00ebrroi me duart e veta nj\u00eb tempull pagan e n\u00eb vend t\u00eb tij ngriti nj\u00eb kish\u00eb. Gjat\u00eb viteve t\u00eb trazuara q\u00eb pasuan Sinodin e Nikeas, u t\u00ebrhoq n\u00eb rangjet e episkop\u00ebve gjysm\u00ebarian\u00eb, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt, pa mohuar hyjnin\u00eb e Fjal\u00ebs, nuk e pranonin futjen e termit \u201ci bashk\u00ebsubstancsh\u00ebm\u201d (homousios) n\u00eb Simbolin e Besimit. Mori pjes\u00eb n\u00eb sinodet e Sardik\u00ebs (343) dhe t\u00eb Sirmiumit (351), dhe madje hartoi edhe nj\u00eb formular t\u00eb besimit, i cili k\u00ebrkonte t\u00eb pajtonte partit\u00eb kund\u00ebrshtare, me q\u00ebllim q\u00eb t\u00eb rivendoste unitetin e Kish\u00ebs (359). Ai tallej me posht\u00ebrsit\u00eb q\u00eb b\u00ebnin dhe shqet\u00ebsimet q\u00eb kishin p\u00ebr gj\u00ebrat tok\u00ebsore. T\u00eb mundur, pagan\u00ebt e lan\u00eb m\u00eb n\u00eb fund dhe disa nga ata, t\u00eb frym\u00ebzuar nga durimi dhe fjal\u00ebt e tij, u kthyen te Krishti.
