He will be remembered as a distinguished theologian with open horizons, a professor with prominent writings,\u00a0 a religious leader who worked steadfastly for the defense of the faith, the promotion of the Christian witness, for inter-religious dialogue, and for the consolidation of world peace. \u201c<em>Blessed are those who pass away, who die in the Lord.
