I ati ishte prift, nd\u00ebrsa gjyshi,<br \/>\nedhe ai prift, u burgos n\u00eb kampin fam\u00ebkeq t\u00eb Solovkit dhe u persekutua<br \/>\np\u00ebr besimin nga regjimi bolshevik.<br \/>\nAi vazhdoi studimet n\u00eb Seminarin e Leningradit dhe m\u00eb pas n\u00eb<br \/>\nAkademin\u00eb Teologjike, ku u gradua cum laude n\u00eb vitin 1970.<br \/>\nM\u00eb 3 prill 1969, Mitropoliti Nikodim i Leningradit e qethi murg me<br \/>\nemrin Kirill dhe e dor\u00ebzoi hierodhjakon.<br \/>\nN\u00eb vitin 1971 u ngrit n\u00eb rangun e arkimandritit.<br \/>\nNga viti 1974 deri m\u00eb 1984 ishte Rektor i Seminarit t\u00eb Leningradit<br \/>\ndhe i Akademis\u00eb Teologjike.<br \/>\nM\u00eb 14 mars 1976, u dor\u00ebzua episkop.<br \/>\nPatriarku Kirill i Mosk\u00ebs dhe i Gjith\u00eb Rusive<\/p>\n<p>N\u00eb vitin 1989 u caktua drejtues i departamentit p\u00ebr marr\u00ebdh\u00ebniet<br \/>\nme jasht\u00eb t\u00eb Kish\u00ebs Ruse dhe an\u00ebtar i p\u00ebrhersh\u00ebm i Sinodit t\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb.<br \/>\nM\u00eb  27 janar, Asambleja Lokale e Kish\u00ebs Ruse e zgjodhi Patriark<br \/>\nt\u00eb Mosk\u00ebs dhe t\u00eb Gjith\u00eb Rusis\u00eb.<br \/>\nQ\u00eb nga dor\u00ebzimi i tij, ka mbajtur nj\u00eb s\u00ebr\u00eb funksionesh nga m\u00eb t\u00eb<br \/>\nlartat e Kish\u00ebs Ruse, duke qen\u00eb shum\u00eb aktiv edhe n\u00eb vepr\u00ebn shpirt\u00ebrore,<br \/>\nsi autor i shum\u00eb librave, kumtesave dhe \u00ebsht\u00eb nderuar p\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb me<br \/>\nshum\u00eb tituj e \u00e7mime.
