Sotir Zaharija Kamami lindi n\u00eb vitin 1894. Ai vinte nga nj\u00eb familje me tradita qytetare, e vendosur n\u00eb lagjen “Kala”. Familja e tij ishte nj\u00eb familje e devotshme orthodhokse dhe rrezatonte besim t\u00eb thell\u00eb e t\u00eb pal\u00ebkundur.<\/p>\n

Sotirin, prind\u00ebrit e d\u00ebrguan me shpenzimet e tyre n\u00eb Seminarin Orthodhoks t\u00eb Oharit. Q\u00eb i vog\u00ebl, i nxitur nga jati, i cili sh\u00ebrbente n\u00eb kish\u00eb si kandillonaft, ishte i t\u00ebrhequr nga besimi orthodhoks dhe iu p\u00ebrkushtua sh\u00ebrbimit ndaj Zotit dhe p\u00ebr\u00e7imit t\u00eb fjal\u00ebs s\u00eb Per\u00ebndis\u00eb te besimtar\u00ebt. Pas mbarimit t\u00eb seminarit u dor\u00ebzua prift.<\/p>\n

Pas dor\u00ebzimit prift, at\u00eb Sotiri u caktua nga Episkopata e Kor\u00e7\u00ebs (e cila mbulonte edhe enorin\u00eb e Elbasanit), t\u00eb sh\u00ebrbente, edhe me k\u00ebrkes\u00eb t\u00eb tij, fillimisht n\u00eb Manastirin e Sh\u00ebn Joan Vladimirit, ku kaloi dhe pjes\u00ebn m\u00eb t\u00eb madhe t\u00eb sh\u00ebrbes\u00ebs. N\u00eb vitet e fundit, sh\u00ebrbeu si prift edhe n\u00eb kish\u00ebn e Shelcanit edhe at\u00eb t\u00eb Sht\u00ebrmenit.<\/p>\n

Papa Sotiri, me ndershm\u00ebrin\u00eb dhe pun\u00ebn e p\u00ebrkushtuar t\u00eb tij, fitoi e g\u00ebzoi respektin dhe vler\u00ebsimet e besimtar\u00ebve orthodhoks\u00eb elbasanas, dhe jo vet\u00ebm t\u00eb tyre, por edhe t\u00eb mysliman\u00ebve, si njeri i cili ndihmonte materialisht pa dallim fetar familjet e vobekta t\u00eb qytetit dhe zonave ku shkoi, me ndihmat e kish\u00ebs ku sh\u00ebrbente.<\/p>\n

P\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb kushteve t\u00eb v\u00ebshtira t\u00eb koh\u00ebs dhe vendit ku sh\u00ebrbeu, mori nj\u00eb t\u00eb ftohur t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00eb, i cili ia shkurtoi jet\u00ebn n\u00eb vitin 1928.<\/p>\n
