On the happy occasion of the Twentieth Anniversary of your enthronement as Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and All Albania, I send warm good wishes, together with my esteem and fraternal affection. From my heart, I join in Your Beatitude\u2019s prayers of thanksgiving for the many blessings that the Lord has poured out upon you and your ministry during these years. I ask Almighty God, the source of every gift, to grant you health, spiritual joy and abundant new graces in all that you do.<\/p>\n
I still have fond memories of our various meetings, the most recent being last year at Assisi on the occasion of the Day of reflection, dialogue and prayer for peace and justice in the world. I am deeply grateful to you for taking part in that joint pilgrimage bearing common witness that only in the search for God and for truth can true peace be built. I am aware that these concerns have always been at the centre of Your Beatitude\u2019s ministry, study and prayer and that, on the basis of these convictions, you have worked to rebuild the Orthodox Church in Albania in the wake of the terrible dictatorship that tried to eliminate all reference to God. For me it is a source of great consolation that Orthodox and Catholics in Albania today cultivate excellent relations and that the Orthodox Church of Albania participates<\/p>\n
