Patriarku i ri u lind n\u00eb Kret\u00eb, n\u00eb Heraklion, n\u00eb vitin 1954. Ai u diplomua p\u00ebr theologji n\u00eb Universitetin e Selanikut. U dor\u00ebzua dhjak n\u00eb vitin 1975 dhe prift n\u00eb vitin 1978. Nga viti 1985 ai ishte caktuar Eksark i Patriarkan\u00ebs s\u00eb Aleksandris\u00eb n\u00eb Odes\u00eb. N\u00eb vitin 1990 u zgjodh Episkop i Kiren\u00ebs dhe u caktua p\u00ebrfaq\u00ebsues patriarkal n\u00eb Athin\u00eb deri n\u00eb mars 1997, kur u caktua Patriark Vikar i Aleksandris\u00eb. N\u00eb shtator 1997 u zgjodh Mitropolit i Kamerunit dhe n\u00eb tetor 2002 Mitropolit i Zimbabves.<\/p>\n

Fron\u00ebzimi i Patriarkut t\u00eb ri t\u00eb Aleksandris\u00eb u krye m\u00eb 24 tetor, n\u00eb Kish\u00ebn Katedrale t\u00eb Ungjill\u00ebzimit t\u00eb Hyjlind\u00ebses, n\u00eb Aleksandri. N\u00eb t\u00eb mor\u00ebn pjes\u00eb rreth 2000 besimtar\u00eb, q\u00eb kishin mbushur kish\u00ebn dhe galerit\u00eb e saj, si dhe mjaft autoritete t\u00eb ftuara. Mor\u00ebn pjes\u00eb edhe Kryepiskopi i Greqis\u00eb, Kristodhulos dhe Kryepiskopi i Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb, Anastasi. Ishin t\u00eb pranish\u00ebm edhe mjaft hierark\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb nga Kishat e tjera Orthodhokse dhe p\u00ebrfaq\u00ebsues nga kishat Kopte e Katolike.<\/p>\n

N\u00eb nj\u00eb intervist\u00eb dh\u00ebn\u00eb gazet\u00ebs greke “Elefterotipia”, menj\u00ebher\u00eb pas zgjedhjes, Patriarku Theodhor II deklaroi se d\u00ebshiron t\u00eb marr\u00eb p\u00ebr model Kryepiskopin Anastas t\u00eb Tiran\u00ebs, i cili p\u00ebrpara se t\u00eb b\u00ebhej primat i Kish\u00ebs Orthodhokse Autoqefale t\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb i kishte kushtuar shum\u00eb vite vepr\u00ebs misionare n\u00eb Afrik\u00ebn e zez\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Patriarku i Aleksandris\u00eb z\u00eb historikisht, sipas urdhrit kanonik, vendin e dyt\u00eb mes Kishave Orthodhokse, menj\u00ebher\u00eb pas Patriarkut Ekumenik.
