Konsiderohen si nd\u00ebrtues t\u00eb manastirit Valaam, q\u00eb ndodhet n\u00eb ishullin e vog\u00ebl, n\u00eb veriper\u00ebndim t\u00eb liqenit Ladoga n\u00eb Kareli, vend nd\u00ebrmjet Finland\u00ebs dhe Rusis\u00eb, i cili nga viti 1947 zot\u00ebrohet pothuajse plot\u00ebsisht prej Rusis\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Ka shum\u00eb variante n\u00eb lidhje me koh\u00ebn kur themeluan institucionin e tyre t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb. M\u00eb e mundshmja \u00ebsht\u00eb se starec Sergji u vendos n\u00eb ishullin e Valaamit m\u00eb 1329, ku m\u00eb 1393 i erdhi osh\u00ebnar Gjermanoi.<\/p>\n<p>Manastiri u shkat\u00ebrrua nga ushtria suedeze n\u00eb shek. XVII bashk\u00eb me manastirin e sh\u00ebn Arsenit t\u00eb Konevic\u00ebs (12 qershor). Por, m\u00eb 1718 v\u00ebllez\u00ebrit e manastirit t\u00eb sh\u00ebn Kirillit t\u00eb Liqenit t\u00eb Bardh\u00eb (9 qershor) rind\u00ebrtuan manastirin e Valaamit.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00eb 11 shtator t\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtit vit lipsanet e shenjta t\u00eb t\u00eb dy igumen\u00ebve \u00e7udib\u00ebr\u00ebs u trasferuan n\u00eb manastirin e tyre t\u00eb rind\u00ebrtuar dhe pik\u00ebrisht n\u00eb kish\u00ebn e tij &#8220;Metamorfoza e Shp\u00ebtimtarit&#8221;.
