Shkoll\u00ebn fi-<br \/>\nllore e kreu n\u00eb fshatin e lindjes.<br \/>\nGjergji dallohej p\u00ebr urt\u00ebsi e<br \/>\nzgjuarsi, prandaj prind\u00ebrit u<br \/>\nkujdes\u00ebn p\u00ebr arsimimin e tij t\u00eb<br \/>\nm\u00ebtejsh\u00ebm. K\u00ebshtu, ai mbaroi<br \/>\ngjimnazin \u201cZosimea\u201d t\u00eb Janin\u00ebs,<br \/>\nku kishin m\u00ebsuar shum\u00eb at-<br \/>\ndhetar\u00eb t\u00eb d\u00ebgjuar shqiptar\u00eb.<br \/>\nM\u00eb  1922  emigroi n\u00eb SHBA,<br \/>\nku jetoi e punoi n\u00eb Boston e Fi-<br \/>\nladelfla p\u00ebr 12  vjet. Atje kreu nj\u00eb<br \/>\nshkoll\u00eb fetare dhe u dor\u00ebzua<br \/>\nprift. Punoi me  Imzot Theofan<br \/>\nNolin dhe kishte miq\u00ebsi t\u00eb<br \/>\nngusht\u00eb me  t\u00eb. Ishte an\u00ebtar dhe<br \/>\nveprimtar i shquar i Shoq\u00ebris\u00eb<br \/>\n\u201cVatra\u201d.<br \/>\nU  kthye n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri n\u00eb vitin<br \/>\n1934, duke i ruajtur lidhjet me<br \/>\nImzot Nolin dhe patriot\u00eb t\u00eb tjer\u00eb<br \/>\nt\u00eb kurbetit. Filloi pun\u00ebn si prift<br \/>\nn\u00eb Lek\u00ebl dhe sh\u00ebrbeu n\u00eb<br \/>\nt\u00eb gjith\u00eb zon\u00ebn, si: n\u00eb<br \/>\nLabov\u00eb, T\u00ebrbuq, Hu-<br \/>\nndkuq, Kod\u00ebr, Peshtan<br \/>\netj. T\u00eb gjith\u00eb e donin dhe<br \/>\ne respektonin p\u00ebr serio-<br \/>\nzitetin n\u00eb kryerjen e<br \/>\nsh\u00ebrbesave fetare, p\u00ebr<br \/>\naf\u00ebrsin\u00eb q\u00eb tregonte me<br \/>\nnjer\u00ebzit, pavar\u00ebsisht<br \/>\nnga besimi i tyre, p\u00ebr<br \/>\ngjykimet e pjekura q\u00eb<br \/>\njepte n\u00eb zgjidhjen e pro-<br \/>\nblemeve e shqet\u00ebsimeve<br \/>\nq\u00eb dilnin etj. Kudo vinte<br \/>\ndashurin\u00eb dhe drejt\u00eb-<br \/>\nsin\u00eb e Zotit Krisht.<br \/>\nPushtimin fashist t\u00eb<br \/>\nShqip\u00ebri-s\u00eb nga Italia e<br \/>\npriti me  indinjat\u00eb t\u00eb the-<br \/>\nll\u00eb. Duke  par\u00eb autori-<br \/>\ntetin dhe respektin q\u00eb<br \/>\nkishte n\u00eb popull, gjat\u00eb<br \/>\nLuft\u00ebs e zgjodh\u00ebn n\u00eb K\u00ebshillin<br \/>\nKrahinor. Ai \u00ebnd\u00ebrronte dhe<br \/>\nshpresonte p\u00ebr nj\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri t\u00eb<br \/>\nlir\u00eb e demokratike. Vendosja e<br \/>\nregjimit komunist pas \u00e7lirimit<br \/>\nia vrau zemr\u00ebn, sepse e dinte,<br \/>\nq\u00eb n\u00ebn shembullin e bolshevi-<br \/>\nzmit rus, edhe  k\u00ebtu do t\u00eb humbi-<br \/>\nsnin liria e nd\u00ebrgjegjes dhe ajo<br \/>\ne pron\u00ebs.<br \/>\nRegjimi ateist nuk po e<br \/>\nshikonte me  sy t\u00eb mir\u00eb. At Gje \u00ad<br \/>\nrgji ishte njeri i ditur dhe i arsi-<br \/>\nmuar. Ai zot\u00ebronte disa gjuh\u00eb t\u00eb<br \/>\nhuja, si: greqisht, anglisht,<br \/>\nfr\u00ebngjisht, italisht etj. Dhe<br \/>\nnjer\u00ebzit e ditur regjimi i kon-<br \/>\nsideronte armiq t\u00eb tij. Aq m\u00eb<br \/>\ntep\u00ebr q\u00eb At Gjergji kishte qen\u00eb<br \/>\nn\u00eb Amerik\u00eb dhe mbante ko-<br \/>\nrrespodenc\u00eb me  patriot\u00ebt e<br \/>\natjesh\u00ebm. Po k\u00ebshtu, kishte<br \/>\nstudiuar n\u00eb Greqi. T\u00eb gjitha k\u00eb-<br \/>\nto mjaftonin p\u00ebr ta arrestuar m\u00eb<br \/>\n27  dhjetor 1946, me  akuz\u00ebn sta-<br \/>\nndarte p\u00ebr shum\u00eb intelektual\u00eb<br \/>\ne klerik\u00eb orthodhoks\u00eb, si \u201cba-<br \/>\nshk\u00ebpun\u00ebtor i grek\u00ebve, anglo-<br \/>\namerikan\u00ebve, kund\u00ebrshtar i<br \/>\nregjimit\u201d etj.<br \/>\nN\u00eb burgun e tmerrsh\u00ebm t\u00eb<br \/>\nKalas\u00eb s\u00eb Gjirokastr\u00ebs, ku mu-<br \/>\nret e gurt\u00eb kullonin lag\u00ebshtir\u00eb<br \/>\ne visheshin me  akull, i b\u00ebn\u00eb<br \/>\ntortura nga m\u00eb \u00e7njer\u00ebzoret. T\u00eb<br \/>\ngjitha i p\u00ebrballoi me  Zotin<br \/>\nKrisht n\u00eb zem\u00ebr dhe me  shpre-<br \/>\ns\u00ebn e patundur, se Ai do ta shp\u00eb-<br \/>\nrblente n\u00eb Mbret\u00ebrin\u00eb e tij. At<br \/>\nGjergji, n\u00eb at\u00eb ferr ku e hetonin,<br \/>\nkishte nj\u00eb Kryq dhe tek ai si-<br \/>\nmbol i Krishtit i mbante syt\u00eb<br \/>\ndhe mendjen kur e rrihnin dhe<br \/>\nmasakronin me  eg\u00ebrsi. N\u00ebp\u00ebr-<br \/>\nmjet Kryqit fuqia e Krishtit<br \/>\nrridhte tek ai dhe e b\u00ebnte t\u00eb<br \/>\nfort\u00eb t\u00eb p\u00ebrballonte ato v\u00ebshti-<br \/>\nr\u00ebsi t\u00eb tmerrshme. Per\u00ebndia i<br \/>\np\u00ebrt\u00ebrinte nj\u00eb frym\u00eb t\u00eb patun\u00ad<br \/>\ndur. Atje n\u00eb burg kreu sh\u00ebrbe-<br \/>\ns\u00ebn p\u00ebr dy nacionalist\u00eb t\u00eb vde-<br \/>\nkur nga torturat, pavar\u00ebsisht se<br \/>\nnjeri prej tyre ishte i besimit<br \/>\ntjet\u00ebr.<br \/>\nN\u00eb gjyqin q\u00eb u zhvillua n\u00eb<br \/>\nfund t\u00eb vitit 1947 At Gjergj Suli<br \/>\nd\u00ebnohet me  vdekje dhe pushka-<br \/>\ntohet m\u00eb 14 janar 1948. Xhela-<br \/>\nt\u00ebt e kuq habiteshin me  q\u00ebndri-<br \/>\nmin e pamposhtur t\u00eb At Gjergjit.<br \/>\nAta tmerroheshin m\u00eb tep\u00ebr nga<br \/>\nKryqi q\u00eb ai b\u00ebnte vazhdimisht.<br \/>\nAt\u00eb kryq ai e b\u00ebri edhe  at\u00eb nat\u00eb<br \/>\nt\u00eb ftoht\u00eb t\u00eb janarit 1948, para<br \/>\npushkatimit. N\u00ebp\u00ebr at\u00eb Kryq t\u00eb<br \/>\nShenjt\u00eb shpirti i tij u ngjit lart<br \/>\ne shkoi pran\u00eb Zotit Per\u00ebndi, p\u00ebr<br \/>\nt\u2019u qet\u00ebsuar pas gjith\u00eb atyre q\u00eb<br \/>\nprovoi.<br \/>\nPersekutimet vazhduan p\u00ebr<\/p>\n<p>familjen e At Gjergjit deri n\u00eb<br \/>\nvitin 1991. E shoqja, n\u00ebn\u00eb Va-<br \/>\nsilia dhe f\u00ebmij\u00ebt e tyre, q\u00eb ishin<br \/>\nmodel n\u00eb pun\u00eb dhe n\u00eb jet\u00eb, Jo-<br \/>\nsifi, Jeta e Thomai, trajtoheshin<br \/>\nme  p\u00ebrbuzje dhe eg\u00ebrsi, si nje-<br \/>\nr\u00ebzit e armikut, duke ua nda-<br \/>\nluar arsimimin dhe, duke i \u00e7uar<br \/>\nn\u00eb pun\u00ebt m\u00eb t\u00eb v\u00ebshtira.
