Thon\u00eb se Sh\u00ebn Markiani shkonte net\u00ebve n\u00eb lagjet e varf\u00ebra t\u00eb qytetit ku jetonte dhe mblidhte kufomat e t\u00eb vdekurve t\u00eb braktisur. I lante me duart e tij, i mb\u00ebshtillte me savane dhe i \u00e7onte n\u00eb Kish\u00eb p\u00ebr t’u b\u00ebr\u00eb sh\u00ebrbes\u00ebn dhe t\u00eb nes\u00ebrmen n\u00eb m\u00ebngjes i varroste. E kishte b\u00ebr\u00eb, gjithashtu, zakon q\u00eb t’i p\u00ebrqafonte para se t’i linte vet\u00ebm n\u00eb Kish\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Dikur ndodhi ky paradoks: I vdekuri ishte nj\u00eb plak i shum\u00ebvuajtur, i munduar nga jeta. Dukej sikur e kishte pritur vdekjen i leht\u00ebsuar. Sh\u00ebn Markiani i b\u00ebri sh\u00ebrbimet me gjith\u00eb zem\u00ebr, thua se i vdekuri e ndjente. N\u00eb fund e vendosi n\u00eb krevatin e t\u00eb vdekurve n\u00eb narthika t\u00eb kish\u00ebs. Kur ishte gati p\u00ebr t\u00eb ikur, u kthye nga i vdekuri dhe i tha:<\/p>\n

At\u00ebhere i vdekuri, me mir\u00ebnjohje, duke iu bindur ftes\u00ebs s\u00eb bamir\u00ebsit t\u00eb vet, u ngrit n\u00eb arkivol, shk\u00ebmbeu me t\u00eb p\u00ebrqafim v\u00ebllaz\u00ebror dhe ra p\u00ebrs\u00ebri n\u00eb gjumin e p\u00ebrjetsh\u00ebm. Shenjtori doli pa zhurm\u00eb nga kisha, sikur t\u00eb kishte ndodhur gj\u00ebja m\u00eb e natyrshme n\u00eb bot\u00eb.
