Prind\u00ebrit e Sh\u00ebn Aleksit, Eufimati dhe Agllaia ishin aristokrat\u00eb dhe jetonin n\u00eb Rom\u00eb n\u00eb koh\u00ebn e Perandorit Honori (395-423). Ata nuk lindnin f\u00ebmij\u00eb dhe lindja e Sh\u00ebn Aleksit ishte fryt i lutjes s\u00eb tyre drejtuar Per\u00ebndis\u00eb q\u00eb tu falte f\u00ebmij\u00eb. Aleksi, i zgjuar dhe i arsimuar, q\u00eb n\u00eb mosh\u00eb t\u00eb re ka nj\u00eb d\u00ebshir\u00eb t\u00eb brendshme p\u00ebr jet\u00ebn monakale. Gjat\u00eb k\u00ebsaj kohe mbreti dhe prifti t\u00eb nxitur mbinatyrsh\u00ebm e gjet\u00ebn “njeriun e Per\u00ebndis\u00eb”. Arrit\u00ebn te lipsani i tij i shenjt\u00eb.
