Fillimisht sherbimi do te jete ne anglisht dhe frengjisht, i planifikuar qe ne te ardhmne te shtohet edhe ne gjermanisht e spanjisht.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsoret e ENI-t, qe e ka qendren ne komitetin drejtues te Sherbimit Ekumenik ne Gjeneve, jane: Keshilli Boteror i Kishave, Federata Boterore e Luterianeve, Aleanca Boterore e Kishave te Reformuara dhe Konferenca Europiane e Kishave.<\/p>\n<p>ENI eshte ngritur mbi nje buxhet relativisht te vogel, prej 1 milion frangash zviceriane dhe ka 4 gazetare ne Gjeneve dhe nje rrjet modest bashkepunetoresh, por organizatat sponsorizuese shpresojne qe sherbimi do te zgjerohet 2 here ne 4 vitet e ardhshme.<\/p>\n<p>Krijimi i ENI-t shenon nje hap te rendesishem per historine e lajmeve ekumenike, e cila fillon 60 vjet me pare me vendosjen e &#8220;serive informative&#8221; te Sherbimit Nderkombetar Informativ te Shtypit te Krishtere (ICPIS). Ne 1947 ICPIS u shnderrua ne Sherbimin e Shtypit Ekumenik. Botimi i fundit i Sherbimit te Shtypit Ekumenik u publikua me 31 gusht e pas kesaj iu kalua ENI-t.<\/p>\n<p>Qellimi i ENI-t eshte prezantimi i lajmeve me nje ndjeshmeri te vecante per gjuhet, kulturat e traditat e ndryshme qe perbejne komunitetin boteror te krishtere.
