(25 May 2014)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&nbsp; 50 years after the meeting between the Ecumenical Patriarch Athenagoras and Pope Paul VI, their predecessors, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Pope Francis, met on Sunday afternoon, May 25, in the city of Jerusalem, where the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified and resurrected.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Initially a private meeting took place between the two Christian leaders, who exchanged gifts for the occasion and signed a joint 10 point-statement.
