I lumuri Klement jetoi n\u00eb Rom\u00eb n\u00eb koh\u00ebn e sundimeve t\u00eb nj\u00ebpasnj\u00ebshme t\u00eb Dometianit (81), Nerv\u00ebs (98) dhe Trajanit (117). Sipas disave, vinte nga nj\u00eb familje princash dhe u b\u00eb dishepull i apostujve dhe i vet\u00eb sh\u00ebn Petros: \u201cPredikimi i tyre jehonte n\u00eb vesh\u00ebt e tij, tradita e tyre ishte ende para syve t\u00eb tij\u201d, shkroi p\u00ebr t\u00eb sh\u00ebn Irineu. Kishte zell apostolik dhe e hirotonis\u00ebn episkop t\u00eb Rom\u00ebs (rreth 91), pas sh\u00ebn Linit dhe sh\u00ebn Anaklitit. Disa thon\u00eb se ai ishte episkopi i par\u00eb i Rom\u00ebs. I p\u00ebrulur dhe i but\u00eb, i zhytur n\u00eb njohjen e Shkrimeve t\u00eb Shenjta, por dhe n\u00eb dijet helene, dinte t\u00eb bindte judenjt\u00eb dhe pagan\u00ebt duke iu folur p\u00ebr m\u00ebshir\u00ebn e pafundme dhe p\u00ebr Mbret\u00ebrin\u00eb e p\u00ebrjetshme, premtuar atyre q\u00eb p\u00ebrqafojn\u00eb me besim rrug\u00ebn e pendimit.<\/p>\n

\u00cbsht\u00eb autori i nj\u00eb letre t\u00eb shquar drejtuar Korintasve, q\u00eb dikur ishte renditur n\u00eb Kanonin e Shkrimeve t\u00eb Shenjta, ku i nxit an\u00ebtar\u00ebt e rinj t\u00eb komunitetit t\u00eb atjesh\u00ebm, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt kishin b\u00ebr\u00eb kryengritje kund\u00ebr pleqve, t\u00eb ruanin unitetin e Kish\u00ebs, duke respektuar hierarkin\u00eb q\u00eb u caktua nga apostujt. I atribuojn\u00eb edhe shkrime t\u00eb tjera: Kanonet e Apostujve t\u00eb Shenjt\u00eb, Kushtetutat Apostolike dhe nj\u00eb let\u00ebr t\u00eb dyt\u00eb Let\u00ebr drejtuar Korintasve; por v\u00ebrtet\u00ebsia e tyre \u00ebsht\u00eb e dyshimt\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Gjat\u00eb predikimeve t\u00eb tij, sh\u00ebn Klementi arriti t\u00eb kthente Theodhor\u00ebn, gruan e prefektit Sisin, mik i ngusht\u00eb i perandorit Nerva dhe e drejtoi Sisinin n\u00eb Pag\u00ebzimin e Shenjt\u00eb, pasi m\u00eb p\u00ebrpara e kishte sh\u00ebruar nga verb\u00ebria. Kur konti Puplius e pa k\u00ebt\u00eb, si dhe p\u00ebrhapjen e Krishterimit n\u00eb rrethe pagan\u00ebsh, e d\u00ebboi me urdh\u00ebr t\u00eb perandorit Trajan n\u00eb Kersonin Tavrik (gadishullin Tavrik (Krime)), krahin\u00eb e eg\u00ebr q\u00eb ndodhej n\u00eb skajet e larg\u00ebta lindore t\u00eb perandoris\u00eb. Episkopi i shenjt\u00eb u gjet mes 2 000 t\u00eb krishter\u00ebsh t\u00eb d\u00ebnuar n\u00eb pun\u00eb t\u00eb r\u00ebnda n\u00eb nxjerrjen e mermerit. I ngush\u00eblloi dhe b\u00ebri q\u00eb t\u00eb buronte uj\u00eb nga shkret\u00ebtira. Edhe atje fjala e tij ktheu pagan\u00eb dhe tregohet se p\u00ebr nj\u00eb vit nd\u00ebrtoi 75 kisha. Shum\u00eb vite m\u00eb von\u00eb, m\u00eb 860, apostulli i sllav\u00ebve, sh\u00ebn Kirili (11 maj), u d\u00ebrgua nga patriarku i Konstandinopoj\u00ebs, sh\u00ebn Foti, n\u00eb Kerson q\u00eb t\u00eb pag\u00ebzonte atje popullsin\u00eb sllave. Ai gjeti edhe lipsanin e sh\u00ebn Klementit dhe nj\u00eb pjes\u00eb t\u00eb tij e transferoi n\u00eb Bizant. M\u00eb pas, ai \u00e7oi lipsanin e shenjtorit n\u00eb Rom\u00eb, te papa Adriani II. Kjo lidhje e krijuar me nj\u00eb nga episkop\u00ebt e par\u00eb t\u00eb Rom\u00ebs do t\u00eb ishte e nj\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00ebsie t\u00eb madhe p\u00ebr devotshm\u00ebrin\u00eb ruse dhe do t\u00eb lejonte t\u00eb rr\u00ebnjosej edhe m\u00eb shum\u00eb n\u00eb tradit\u00ebn apostolike.<\/p>\n

– Hierod\u00ebshmor Petro i Aleksandris\u00eb \u2013<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I stolisur me dije dhe urt\u00ebsi, sh\u00ebn Petroja drejtoi Shkoll\u00ebn Katekiste t\u00eb Aleksandris\u00eb, para se t\u00eb b\u00ebhej episkop i mitropolis\u00eb s\u00eb Egjiptit, n\u00eb vitin 300, pas sh\u00ebn Theonait. Tre vjet me von\u00eb, ediktet q\u00eb urdh\u00ebronin persekutimin dhe p\u00ebrndjekjen e t\u00eb gjith\u00eb t\u00eb krishter\u00ebve e detyruan t\u00eb largohej, p\u00ebr t\u00eb vazhduar, n\u00eb fsheht\u00ebsi, t\u00eb inkurajonte besimtar\u00ebt q\u00eb t\u00eb ruanin besimin. Duke p\u00ebrfituar nga mungesa e tij, Militi (ose Meleti), episkopi i Likopolit, pushtoi fronin e Aleksandris\u00eb, me pretekstin se Petroja e kishte braktisur nga frika e p\u00ebrndjekjes. Militi mori pushtetet juridike kishtare dhe dor\u00ebzoi prift\u00ebrinj ndjek\u00ebsit e tij n\u00eb krahina t\u00eb ndryshme t\u00eb Egjiptit, duke krijuar k\u00ebshtu nj\u00eb kish\u00eb skizmatike, q\u00eb do b\u00ebhej shkaku i p\u00ebr\u00e7arjeve t\u00eb dhimbshme p\u00ebr m\u00eb shum\u00eb se nj\u00eb shekull. Uzurpatori, me shpirt fanatik, e kritikoi sh\u00ebn Petron p\u00ebr q\u00ebndrimin e tij tolerant ndaj atyre q\u00eb ishin dor\u00ebzuar gjat\u00eb persekutimit, por q\u00eb, duke u penduar, donin t\u00eb riktheheshin n\u00eb kungimin e Kish\u00ebs.<\/p>\n

Disa vite m\u00eb von\u00eb, i erdhi radha Militit ta nxirrnin p\u00ebrpara sprov\u00ebs s\u00eb besimit, por ai u t\u00ebrhoq para k\u00ebrc\u00ebnimit dhe vuajtjeve dhe u sakrifikoi idhujve. Q\u00eb me formimin e k\u00ebsaj kishe skizmatike t\u00eb Militit, lindi herezia e frikshme e Ariosit. Thuhet se sh\u00ebn Petroja, pasi e kap\u00ebn dhe e nxor\u00ebn p\u00ebr ta gjykuar, refuzoi ta pranonte Ariosin heretik n\u00eb kungim. Kur e pyet\u00ebn p\u00ebr arsyen, ai tha se nat\u00ebn e m\u00ebparshme kishte par\u00eb Krishtin t\u2019i shfaqej me pamjen e nj\u00eb f\u00ebmije 12-vje\u00e7ar me bukuri ndri\u00e7uese, q\u00eb mbante nj\u00eb tunik\u00eb liri t\u00eb grisur nga lart deri posht\u00eb. F\u00ebmija i varf\u00ebr mbante dy copat, duke u p\u00ebrpjekur t\u00eb fshihte me lot lakuriq\u00ebsin\u00eb e tij. Petroja e pyeti: \u201cO Zot, kush e grisi tunik\u00ebn t\u00ebnde?\u201d Ai iu p\u00ebrgjigj: \u201cAriosi m\u00eb zhveshi, prandaj kujdes se mos e pranon n\u00eb kungat\u00eb dhe k\u00ebshillo prift\u00ebrinjt\u00eb, Akilin dhe Aleksandrin, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt do t\u00eb pasojn\u00eb fronin e Aleksandris\u00eb, t\u00eb ruajn\u00eb besimin e shenjt\u00eb orthodhoks kund\u00ebr sulmeve\u201d.<\/p>\n

Duke forcuar, pra, bes\u00ebn orthodhokse dhe duke inkurajuar ata q\u00eb ishin n\u00eb pranga q\u00eb t\u00eb k\u00ebmb\u00ebngulnin n\u00eb besimin te Krishti deri n\u00eb vdekje, sh\u00ebn Petroja u kap nga vala e fundit e persekutimit, n\u00eb koh\u00ebn e Maksimianit (311). I d\u00ebnuar me prerje koke, madje pa e gjykuar fare, ai pa t\u00eb vinte \u00e7asti t\u00eb bashkohej me Zotin, duke marr\u00eb pjes\u00eb n\u00eb p\u00ebsimin e tij. Duke pasur frik\u00eb se mos banor\u00ebt e Aleksandris\u00eb ngrinin krye dhe, q\u00eb t\u00eb mos b\u00ebhej shkaku i trazirave dhe i masakrave, u arratis nga burgu dhe shkoi vet\u00eb n\u00eb vendin e ekzekutimit, ku u dha te xhelat\u00ebt, duke imituar M\u00ebsuesin hyjnor, q\u00eb u dor\u00ebzua pa kund\u00ebrshtuar tek ata q\u00eb erdh\u00ebn p\u00ebr ta arrestuar. Po n\u00eb at\u00eb vend ishte ekzekutuar edhe Apostull Marku, themeluesi i Kish\u00ebs s\u00eb Aleksandris\u00eb (25 prill).<\/p>\n

Sh\u00ebn Petroja u k\u00ebrkoi xhelat\u00ebve disa momente q\u00eb t\u00eb lutej mbi varrin e tij. Me lot, ai iu lut plot zjarr ungjillorit t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb, q\u00eb t\u2019i jepte kuraj\u00eb p\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb sprov\u00eb t\u00eb fundit dhe q\u00eb t\u00eb ruante Kish\u00ebn e Aleksandris\u00eb n\u00ebn mbrojtjen e tij. Kur u ngrit, iu lut edhe Zotit Jisu Krisht dhe i k\u00ebrkoi q\u00eb gjaku i tij, q\u00eb do t\u00eb derdhej s\u00eb shpejti, t\u00eb ishte vula dhe shenja e fundit e persekutimit. U d\u00ebgjua at\u00ebher\u00eb nj\u00eb z\u00eb q\u00eb vinte nga lart: \u201cPetroja ishte i pari i apostujve dhe Petroja \u00ebsht\u00eb i fundit i martir\u00ebve\u201d. Me t\u00eb v\u00ebrtet\u00eb, vdekja e sh\u00ebn Petros sh\u00ebnoi fundin e persekutimit (24\/25 n\u00ebntor 311) dhe konsiderohet si i fundit i martir\u00ebve t\u00eb periudh\u00ebs q\u00eb parapriu paqen e sh\u00ebn Konstandinit t\u00eb Madh.<\/p>\n

Disa koh\u00eb pas martirizimit t\u00eb shenjtit, besimtar\u00ebt zbuluan me emocion lipsanin e tij t\u00eb shenjt\u00eb dhe e \u00e7uan n\u00eb katedrale, ku e ul\u00ebn p\u00ebr her\u00eb t\u00eb par\u00eb n\u00eb fronin episkopal. Sepse, nga p\u00ebrul\u00ebsia, Petroja kishte refuzuar gjithmon\u00eb t\u00eb ulej.
