Sh\u00ebn Andonina ishte virgj\u00ebresh\u00eb e krishter\u00eb q\u00eb b\u00ebnte nj\u00eb jet\u00eb t\u00eb p\u00eblqyeshme p\u00ebr Per\u00ebndin\u00eb n\u00eb fshatin e Kodramonit.<\/p>\n

At\u00eb e arrestuan me urdh\u00ebr t\u00eb prefektit Festus, i cili i propozoi ta b\u00ebnte prift\u00ebresh\u00eb t\u00eb Artemid\u00ebs, por ajo nuk pranoi dhe pohoi Krishtin me shum\u00eb guxim. Magjistrati dha urdh\u00ebr ta rrihnin, pastaj e futi n\u00eb burg dhe e la pa ngr\u00ebn\u00eb dhe pa pir\u00eb. Pas tri dit\u00ebsh, nj\u00eb rrufe e fuqishme goditi burgun dhe nj\u00eb z\u00eb qiellor e inkurajoi shenjtoren t\u00eb luftonte dhe e ftoi t\u00eb merrte buk\u00ebn dhe ujin q\u00eb i shfaqi para saj. N\u00eb m\u00ebngjes e \u00e7uan para prefektit, t\u00eb cilit i d\u00ebshmoi se kishte humbur n\u00eb p\u00ebrpjekjen e tij. Ajo kishte nj\u00eb pamje q\u00eb rrezatonte g\u00ebzim dhe shpres\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Festusi u t\u00ebrbua dhe i dor\u00ebzoi tek ushtar\u00ebt, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt e godisnin me pjes\u00ebn e shesht\u00eb t\u00eb shpatave. E lumura nuk reshti s\u00eb luturi dhe u predikoi me m\u00eb tep\u00ebr forc\u00eb. Pas k\u00ebtij d\u00ebshtimi, magjistrati urdh\u00ebroi ta \u00e7onin Andonin\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb sht\u00ebpi publike.<\/p>\n

Pas shfaqjes s\u00eb vizionit t\u00eb nj\u00eb engj\u00eblli, nj\u00eb ushtar 23-vje\u00e7ar, Aleksandri, shkoi n\u00eb vendin e shthurjes dhe k\u00ebrkoi t\u00eb takohej me virgj\u00ebresh\u00ebn, duke u shtirur se donte t\u00eb p\u00ebrfitonte nga hiret e saj. Por kur ngel\u00ebn vet\u00ebm, ai i zbuloi Andonin\u00ebs se e kishte d\u00ebrguar Zoti dhe e ndihmoi t\u00eb arratisej, duke e mbuluar me mantelin tij ushtarak. Kur pak m\u00eb von\u00eb erdh\u00ebn aty kat\u00ebr ushtar\u00eb t\u00eb d\u00ebrguar nga prefekti p\u00ebr t\u00eb abuzuar me vajz\u00ebn e re, por t\u00eb habitur, ata zbuluan se n\u00eb vend t\u00eb saj ndodhej Aleksandri.<\/p>\n

E \u00e7uan para Festusit dhe Aleksandri pohoi me shum\u00eb trim\u00ebri besimin n\u00eb Krishtin, duke i th\u00ebn\u00eb prefektit se edhe ai ishte sh\u00ebrb\u00ebtor i Krishtit, i gatsh\u00ebm p\u00ebr t\u00eb vdekur p\u00ebr Zotin. N\u00eb \u00e7astin kur ushtar\u00ebt po e \u00e7onin p\u00ebr ta torturuar, Andonina u shkoi vet\u00eb n\u00eb gjykat\u00eb, ku e lidh\u00ebn bashk\u00eb me Aleksandrin. U pren\u00eb gisht\u00ebrinjt\u00eb e duarve dhe t\u00eb k\u00ebmb\u00ebve, pastaj u \u00e7an\u00eb hijet me kanxha t\u00eb hekurta, i lyen me zift dhe i hodh\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb grop\u00eb me zjarr.<\/p>\n

N\u00eb fund, ushtar\u00ebt i mbuluan me dhe, q\u00eb t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt t\u00eb mos ua gjenin m\u00eb trupat. N\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb, dy heronjt\u00eb e d\u00eblir\u00ebsis\u00eb arrit\u00ebn triumfues n\u00eb Mbret\u00ebrin\u00eb e Per\u00ebndis\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Sh\u00ebn Theofani lindi n\u00eb Antioki nga prind\u00ebr pagan\u00eb, por u kthye te Krishti q\u00eb f\u00ebmij\u00eb. U martua n\u00eb mosh\u00ebn 15-vje\u00e7are, por gruaja e tij vdiq 3 vjet m\u00eb von\u00eb. U pag\u00ebzua dhe u mbyll n\u00eb nj\u00eb qeli t\u00eb vog\u00ebl, jo larg nga Antiokia, q\u00eb t\u00eb pastronte shpirtin. M\u00ebsoi se nj\u00eb grua imorale me emrin Pansemna (greqisht do t\u00eb thot\u00eb: shum\u00eb e d\u00eblir\u00eb) ishte b\u00ebr\u00eb shkaku p\u00ebr humbjen e shum\u00eb shpirtrave t\u00eb krishter\u00ebsh, prandaj me lutje braktisi vendin e tij t\u00eb qet\u00eb e shkoi tek i ati dhe i k\u00ebrkoi 10 lira ar, se gjoja do t\u00eb martohej p\u00ebr s\u00eb dyti.<\/p>\n

E nd\u00ebrroi tunik\u00ebn e tij t\u00eb vjet\u00ebr me veshje t\u00eb shndritshme dhe shkoi te Pansemna. Pasi h\u00ebngri e piu me t\u00eb, e pyeti se sa vjet kishte n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb profesion t\u00eb mjeruesh\u00ebm.<\/p>\n

\u201cDymb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb vjet\u201d, iu p\u00ebrgjigj ajo \u201cpor nga t\u00eb gjith\u00eb burrat q\u00eb kam pasur, ti je m\u00eb i bukuri\u201d. Theofani i propozoi t\u00eb martoheshin duke i dh\u00ebn\u00eb edhe arin q\u00eb mbante me vete. I tha se do t\u00eb p\u00ebrgatitej tashm\u00eb p\u00ebr dasm\u00ebn. Shkoi menj\u00ebher\u00eb dhe nd\u00ebrtoi nj\u00eb qeli pran\u00eb s\u00eb tij\u00ebs e u kthye te Pansemna. I tha se i vetmi kusht q\u00eb kishte p\u00ebr t\u2019u martuar, ishte q\u00eb ajo t\u00eb b\u00ebhej e krishter\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Pas disa hezitimesh, ajo pranoi. Gjat\u00eb m\u00ebsimeve t\u00eb katekizmit m\u00ebsoi se n\u00eb Gjyqin e fundit gjith\u00eb veprimet tona do t\u00eb gjykohen dhe do t\u00eb shikojm\u00eb drit\u00ebn ose zjarrin e p\u00ebrjetsh\u00ebm. Ajo u prek dhe e pushtoi d\u00ebrrmimi shpirt\u00ebror. Pas pag\u00ebzimit t\u00eb saj, ajo \u00e7liroi skllev\u00ebrit q\u00eb mbante, shp\u00ebrndau t\u00eb mirat materiale dhe u vendos n\u00eb qelin\u00eb pran\u00eb Theofanit. P\u00ebrparoi kaq shum\u00eb, sa u b\u00eb e denj\u00eb t\u00eb d\u00ebbonte demon\u00ebt me lutjen e saj e t\u00eb sh\u00ebronte t\u00eb s\u00ebmur\u00ebt. Pas nj\u00eb viti e dy muajsh kthimi te Per\u00ebndia, Pansemna fjeti n\u00eb paqe n\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjt\u00ebn koh\u00eb me sh\u00ebn Theofanin.<\/p>\n
