At the Feast of Theophany, thousands of believers headed toward the Resurrection of Christ Cathedral in Tirana to participate in the Divine Liturgy and to follow the Service of the Great Blessing of the Water. The respective service was carried out by His Beatitude Anastasios, Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and All Albania, who was assisted by His Grace Nathanail, the Metropolitan of Amantia, Bishop Asti of Bylis and other clergy of the Archiepiscopate.<\/span><\/p>\n

The faithful received the holy water from the tanks positioned outside the Cathedral and took it home as a blessing for the New Year. All over the place one could hear the troparion of the feast: \u201cWhen Thou, O Lord, was baptized in the Jordan, worship of the Trinity was made manifest; for the voice of the Father bore witness to Thee, calling Thee His beloved Son. And the Spirit in the form of a dove confirmed the truth of His word. O Christ our God, Who had appeared and enlightened the world, glory to Thee!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
