A large number of visitors visited the seat of the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania on Christmas day. They had come to give their Christmas wishes to Archbishop Anastasios and to all Orthodox believers, but they also wanted to congratulate His Beatitude on receiving Albanian citizenship. A special and very warm conversation followed between His Beatitude and the President of the country Mr. Ilir Meta, who congratulated the Archbishop for becoming the newest citizen of our country.<\/span><\/p>\n

There were present at the reception ceremony also Mr. Gramoz Ru\u00e7i, Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Thoma Frash\u00ebri, the representative of Prime Minister Mr. Edi Rama, Mr. Erion Veliaj, Mayor of Tirana, deputies, representatives of political parties and other religious communities, diplomatic representatives, well-known personalities and Orthodox faithful.<\/span><\/p>\n
