\n\t   Upon the closing of the exhibition “Byzantine and Postbyzantine Manuscripts in Albania,” which opened in the environments of the General Directorate of Archives, on June 7, took place the cultural activity “Byzantine Evening\u201d. It was held at the new hall of the ceremonies close to the church of Evangelization of Theotokos in Tirana.<\/p>\n

\t    The event, as the exhibition was organized by the Greek Culture Foundation in Albania, General Directorate of Archives of Albania, the Cultural Foundation of the National Bank of Greece and the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania.<\/p>\n

\t    The event was attended by renowned academics and intellectuals from Albania and  Greece, diplomats, clergymen, Orthodox believers, and interested citizens of the capital for this kind of music etc. This event was honored by the participation of His Beatitude Archbishop of Tirana, Durr\u00ebs and all Albania, Anastasios, accompanied by two assistant bishops, HisEminece Nicholas and His Eminence Andoni.<\/p>\n

\t     After opening the event, Mr. Harallamb Terziu, professor of Byzantine music in the Theological Academy “Resurrection of Christ”, held the talk “History of Byzantine music throughout the centuries.\u201d<\/p>\n

\t    Then, with an impressive entrance, chanting, in the scene took place the Byzantine choir of the church “Joan Kukuzeli,” directed by Justin Arqimandriti, who is its founder. The choir chanted some parts of the hymns that are in the exposed music codex.<\/p>\n

\t    Second talk was held by the Deacon Spiro Kostoli, professor of history of Byzantine music in the Theological Academy, with the theme “Music and cultivation of the Byzantine Church in Albania.”<\/p>\n

\t    Then the choir “Joan Kukuzeli\u201d  proceeded chanting the hymns of the codex, and also was read a a passage of the codex of Kor\u00e7a no.93, X century.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
