\n\t   <\/span> <\/span>Our Orthodox Church in Elbasan participated in the three-day fair (12 to 14 March 2014) organized by the City Hall. This fair aimed the disclosure and the presentation of social, educational, cultural and trade activities. In the city of Elbasan for many years now is celebrated the Summer Day, on March 14, which characterizes the departure of winter and the coming of spring. For this traditional celebrations are organized various festive activities among which even this great fair.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t    For the second consecutive year, with the blessing of Archbishop Anastasios and under the care of Bishop Anthony, the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania was presented with its publications, with the church handicrafts, and with the photographic exhibition of different social and spiritual activities of the church such as: the 9-year Schools, the High Schools and Universities, the Public Contribution, the Health Care, the Day Cares (Kindergartens), Children’s Home of Hope, the Christian Education, Camps, the Construction and the Restoration of Churches, thus showing a dignified representation of the Orthodox Church.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t    The tent of the Orthodox Church was visited by many participants of this Fair, who took a lot of information about its activities, but also for two of our Churches in Elbasan, and they expressed their gratitude for our participation and presentation. Also our tent was visited by dignitaries such as the Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama; the Mayor of the Parliament, Mr. Ilir Meta; the Minister of the Transportation and Infrastructure, Mr. Edmond Haxhinasto; the head of the Democratic Party and simultaneously Mayor of Tirana, Mr. Lulzim Basha; the Mayor of the city of Elbasan; deputies etc. This presentation of our Church in this fair was organized by Father Heliodor Demiri and by Mr. Armand Oga. In this fair helped also the orthodox youth of the village Fikas in Elbasan, and also the Orthodox Youth of the Church of St. Athanasius in Elbasan.<\/span><\/p>\n
