\n\t   <\/span> On the eve of Holy Week our church celebrated the Resurrection of Saint Lazarus, and the Entry of Christ into Jerusalem. On the day of the Resurrection of Saint Lazarus, in the Church “Annunciation of Theotokos” in Tirana, Archbishop Anastasios conducted the Service of Elevation of a Deacon for Spiro Topanxha. The new deacon was graduated at the Theological Academy “Resurrection of Christ” at St. Vlash, and is working for years as catechist in Tirana.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t    Palm Sunday in Tirana was celebrated at the Cathedral “Resurrection of Christ” and in three other churches of the capital. The Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral was headed by His Beatitude, Archbishop of Tirana, Durr\u00ebs and All Albania, + Anastasios. In this day when Christians celebrate the triumphal entry of Christ into Jerusalem, the church is decorated with palm branches, and they are given to the believers as a sign of peace and a symbol of Christ’s victory. This great feast was celebrated everywhere in the four dioceses of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n
