    On April 5th an award ceremony took place in the Palace of Brigades in Tirana. The President of Albania, Prof./ Dr.  Bamir Topi awarded the leaders of four traditional religious communities with the Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu award. The nominees were the Archbishop of Tirana, Durrësi and the whole Albania, His Beatitude Anastasios, and the leaders of the Muslim, Catholic and Bektashi communities in Albania.

The Orthodox Autocephalous Church Of Albania OFFICIAL DECLARATION The results of the 2011 Census regarding the Orthodox Christians in Albania are totally incorrect and unacceptable.                 1.The latest official report of INSTAT, regarding the religious identity of the population, from the 2011 Census declares that Orthodox Christians in Albania are 6.75%. Without doubt, this is an obvious error or more accurately an intentional lie.
